The metaphor of Walter being a "Ghost Cat" is so good. "Beautiful things dont ask for attention" Walter lives his life very underground not seeking attention even though he is a vital part of what makes Life magazine run but is always in the background going unnoticed not seeking validation just like the "Ghost Cat" but its nice to see Sean can see the worth and beauty of the quiet and lonely individual even if the individual might not. "Let's just call it a Ghost Cat Walter Mitty"
Absolutely love this movie. Saw it at midnight on new years eve into new years and I contemplated my life as my gf fell asleep next to me. 3 months later I left my corporate job & the relationship and went to study with a Native American Elder outside of Sedona. Life has Been an incredible roller coaster of experiences since then. This movie was a giant inspiration for me to take that gamble!
oh wow i am moving back to Sedona from Oregon this next spring.. I actually watched this movie at the cinema in Prescott AZ.. Sedona.. Im going back to be close to the spirit there in this time of turmoil in the world..not many are reacting to this gem of a movie..
@@thecountessofgreycastle7119Thank you! I left az for Nc and I’m doing my healing work here. Everytime I see that movie it reminds me of how influential it was. 😊
@@michaelanthonycoach8640 Incredible!! I was telling my bf how this movie just stirred up something in me... I could easily pack a few things and be happy just being on the road. Experiencing new cultures, and just admiring what god made ♥️
My favorite movie. The story, the cinematography, the soundtrack, the message of the person we want to be is inside us all along, it's just beautiful. I also love that the further into the movie you get, the less daydreams he has, and instead is present for the adventure he is on. The reveal of the negative literally brings me to tears.
When we visited Iceland a few years ago, I was driving down a windy road and I thought to myself, this reminds me of Walter Mitty... only to realize it was the exact same road! I love this movie and the scenes in Iceland particularly because it reminds me of my visit to that amazing country.
I did the same thing! The winding road he skateboards down is the road leading to Seydisfjordur. Which is nowhere near eyjafjallajokull as portrayed in the movie.
I don't know if you noticed, but the first time he decided to take a chance and do something truly daring he stopped having daydreams. I used to get that feeling of existing in a life that feels unfulfilled... Though far from listless. It's like you get so busy doing the things you feel you HAVE to do that you never get around to doing any/many of the things that you WANT to do.
This is my favorite non comedy movie. Every frame looks like it was taken by Sean himself and the music is amazing. I can't think of any flaws in this masterpiece.
This is one of those movies that when i'm flipping through channels on TV and it pops up...i can watch the rest of the movie and not be bored...whether it's just starting or halfway thru! Great reaction! Keep em' coming!
Definitely in my top ten. I saw it in a movie theatre when it first came out on Christmas Day in 2013 and even though it has nothing to do with Christmas, it's now one of my "Christmas movies" that I watch every year. The entire film is a knockout in every way and everyone delivers exceptional performances..... but when Walter's mom hands him the wallet near the end of the movie, I completely choke up and cry at the simple honest beauty of the scene between Ben Stiller and Shirley MacLaine.
I remember watching this years ago, and that I was unenthusiastic about the beginning, but ended up loving it for the inspirational feelgood movie it is.
Love this film so nice to see someone react to it this films so under the radar....Real Adventure finding yourself in life especially if you are an introvert ...music & scenery beautiful
This is one of my favorite movies as well… cinematically it is beautiful gorgeous and so well shot. The transitions are amazing and it’s such a heartfelt fun movie with that profound yet simple meaning. Life. Glad you enjoyed this, it’s an amazing film and one I recommend all the time.
One of my top romantic comedies ever. I watch it a lot and have the soundtrack. I love it when she is singing to him at Karaoke (and of course when he tells her about it later) and when he casually takes her hand at the end. ❤ perfect ending. Fun watching with you. Great acting by everyone and direction by Ben Stiller.
Normally i'm not a big Ben Stiller fan, in fact i only liked Tropic Thunder so far, but this movie is not just his magnum opus (he also directed the movie), it's an masterwork in general. Such an wholesome, inspiring feel good movie with great cast, great cinematography and great soundtrack. One of my favorite movies of all time.
Amazing film The Secret Life of Walter Mitty directed and starring by Ben Stiller with a great cast including Kristen Wiig, Adam Scott, Shirley MacLaine and Sean Penn. Thank you pretty lady great reaction excellent👍👍👍👍👍
So when he lands at Greenland and has to pick between the blue and red car? I read somewhere that it was basically the same choice as that in The Matrix. This movie is SO GOOD and vastly underrated to the point i'm sad barely anyone reacts to it never mind acknowledge its existence My only nitpick is that it's shown he's climbing far remote mountains for a long time and for some reason right next to Shaun is a football field with a bunch of guys playing. on top of the mountains. so remote the snow leopard lives around there.
I got laid off from my job three times and one thing I learned, xerox paper boxes are perfect for moving your stuff, but grab them fast or all you'll find is stacks of paper. ;-D If you didn't know, Ben Stiller also Directed it. ;-)
i love this movie, it sucks how so few people have reacted to it so it's nice to see someone did a reaction to it and uploaded it yesterday. And now I have some last of us reactions to watch too.
So I can be a fake snooty film critic when it comes to the things that I like. Lol But this movie is in my top 10. Every single time I watch it I want to grab a passport in a run out the door. Walter Mitty and I probably have a little bit too much in common. 😅

Those were my two favourite scenes too. There's something so freeing... I also love that quote: "beautiful things don't ask for attention"

Bro, i freaking cried at the end on the cinema...with my mom by my side hahahah geez

Wow! Best so far, Ashna!

This movie got me to go on an 8 day adventure in Morocco, and I’ll treasure that adventure and this film always :)
my favourite film of all time, with an amazing soundtrack
This lady is very pretty and seems super wholesome. She has a warm energy ☺️
Walter was the snow lion.
I saw this in the theater about 4-5 times. Amazing movie. Love your channel also.
23:56 I mean, that's kind of to be expected from a bunch of guys who are routinely stuck on a ship for potentially weeks straight.
One of my all time favorite movies. Was enjoyable to watch it with you.
:)
LOL that part where you said there is nothing in the wallet. It's like (except the most important thing in the movie)

I saw this movie in theater on Christmas Day the week it came out. It's my favorite movie I watch it on my birthday every year since then.
shout out to Sean Penn.. perfect for his part

So I’ve bought a skateboard…
This really is a great movie. Glad you liked it.
I sometimes hate Ben Stiller, but this was a beautiful movie. Stretch Armstrong was a very stretchy toy.
Great movie by Ben Stiller with Ben Stiller and great reaction! 👍

This movie is so absolutely underrated and in my book is up there with Interstellar, Apocalypto, Scarface, Biutiful (spanish)
*"Mitty"*

My fav movie of all time ❤️👐
I love this movie so much. I can't wait to start my own adventure very soon 😁

This movie is amazing!

14:30 such a pragmatic observation, and I'm here for it 😂😊
Good movie! If you loved this you will love Stranger Than Fiction --- another film hardly anyone reacts to!
Ben Stiller can skate some of the longboarding scenes are legit, but nah most of the flat land was someone else
Your kitty is cute watching you
amazing movie
It's A great movie.
you should watch the 1947 version with Danny Kaye it's very Funny
Actually def is Ben Stiller doing that 😉
❤❤
I noticed she didn’t mention anything about beautiful things don’t ask for attention …I wonder if that was too personal
I recommend you a great good movie from 2011... Tower Heist.
Hi Ashna, can I send you a wink 😉
