Heck of a fish, Scott! There's definitely a noticeable difference in the fight of a little one compared a giant, and it's usually apparent from the moment you set the hook. Congratulations!
Holy moly , I was a full-time taxidermist for over 30 years and did only a couple CLOSE to that (44") but not one that size or larger. Congrats, you landed a real whopper!

That's a stud pike! Was on Devils Lake open water fishing two years ago and had my son and nephew each boat pike over 40. Some big pike out there for sure. Congrats!!

Beautiful Pike brother. We are going out one last time tomorrow afternoon to try for something like that one. This is our last ice for the season 😭. And by the way it doesn't hurt to kill a few big Pike here and there. Gotta keep them hogs in check.

Just shy of 23lbs. Those Deadstick rods are awesome. The tip is lighter action but the rod itself has a ton of backbone
I fished a tourny this weekend with -35 windchill. You couldnt touch anything bare skinned.
Congrats on the LUNKER PIKE!! Is that a 10" hole? I drill three overlapping 8" holes with my K-Drill to make it easy. I fill them up when done fishing, nobody wants to get a wet foot. My biggest is only 37, still trying to get in the 40" club.
It's an 8" hole. I'm going to purchase a 10" flite for my pike fishing

@@330Maniac A BEAUTY! Can you spear in MN. I live in the U.P. Love ice fishing my record is 103 days in a row. It was 65 when I had a live in girlfriend. So when I was single and hit 65 again I figured I better giver.anyway spearing Pike is a njce change if pace. I called it staring at the big screen before we had bigscreens!! Like site fishing it adds a little adrenaline rush. Someday I will share my story about the first flasher vexilar 8 I think that I saw!! Funny one. Keep up the great content. I just finished up my last job of the year Im a Mason. We don’t have any tracking snow to speak of. But I will be putting out cat sets and otter sets the next few days. My Granpa always said you have to control whatever eats what you eat!! A little predator control some coyote sets also I enjoy laying down a snowshoe loop or three and setting along the way.
