At about 7 minutes in I'm watching you hang the rope and I'm thinking this just shows your attention to detail. I know it'll be covered by the deck and even if someone were to look carefully they'd probably struggle to even spot that detail, so most people probably wouldn't even put it there. But you do it what because while others may not know about it, you do. I have so much respect, not just for your skill but also for your attitude towards your work here.
I've been watching your channel now for just under a month and I've grown accustomed to being awestruck in some way with every episode I watch. I have been in this hobby for more than 50 years. The techniques I use are mostly transferred from model airplanes. I've never in my life encountered another model ship builder that I could share tips and techniques with, so the learning curve has been long and slow. In every one of your videos I see something that I can take away and add to my own set of skills. I have not run into another channel that is as good as your channel. The photography is so good at showing us exactly what you're doing with so much detail. I've never had a mentor for model shipbuilding, but I have one now. Thank you so much
Canadian viewer. Wooden model ship builders are in a class of talent all to themselves. You are no exception. I have a couple of unbuilt wooden ship models ..alas, my eyes are more talented than my hands.

Wait. What? I don't recall model kits like this when I was a kid. You open the box and all the parts were in there. You didn't have to cut them out on a table saw. Great hammer action in this one. Nice nails as well :)
This is only if you want to add other wood to the kit for variety. Because this kit has only a walnut, which makes the model very monochrome, so I added a few shades to my version of the carrack (Hicory and American black walnut)...
John from Spain. Good morning Olha. Wow what amazing skills you have, it's a joy to watch your videos, so much information, tell us how long before you get to the rigging ?. Thank you for your dedication.
Thanks for another great video.. Keep them coming... Not sure if you have posted it already, but wondering do you have any how-to for lights you have installed on this model? Type of lights, cables, battery power, etc..
Thanks! I will continue... Yes, I have this information in the description under the video in issues #5 and #6. I will post the links in the next comment if TH-cam does not block it...

Era madeira de Hickory Hardwood
