      username 156 I consider arguing to be a more aggressive debate, when you get too attached to your opinion and maybe start giving invalid arguments, some you don't even believe in, just to show that you're right. So basically a shouting contest caused by frustration and stubbornness

    • @revolutionfrommahbed4246
      @revolutionfrommahbed4246 4 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      Ale with a tale agreed. “Arguing” typically indicates some degree of anger or negative emotion involved. To debate, disagree or discuss alternative ideas doesn’t require the expenditure of emotional capital at all. In fact, when it becomes a real “argument” I typically walk away because the discussion isn’t fun anymore 🤷🏼‍♀️

    There are a few other patterns I picked up.. this one for NTPs in general: There is a kind of mechanical movement to their hands when they are explaining something, like their hands move down then left like as if someone indented on a type writer, and they also do weird like circle movements... It's like they are iron Man playing with the the touch screen Jarvis thing he has in the movie... Also, for ENTPs they make dad jokes and they kind of hold it as if they are trying to break the fourth wall and also they tend to have a very childish kind of look on their face and in their tone of voice at the very end of the joke

      It's funny because that's common place for me (an ENTP). Inferring from your comment you're a bit younger than I am. The only advice I can give you is to choose something that will help you develop your talents while being open enough that you're not stuck in one field. For instance petroleum engineering is too specific and you might not like the work. Study a broader engineering like mechanical or electrical. You'll be able to find jobs in many industries

    • @JoeLaFigue
      @JoeLaFigue 6 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      Depending on your age and interests ... I found personally that I HAD to fail, meaning to delve willingly into a doomed abyss of a life choice, in order to gain the experience needed to feel satisfied.
      I wasn't happy studying languages, but I still love studying it. => I wasn't meant to be tested on my theoretical knowledge of languages because I've got strong feelings and a strong intuition when it comes to communication and languages. So this field has to stay a side hobby for me.
      Same goes for psychology, sociology, even hard sciences.
      I found out after failing in many fields in Universities, just by never showing up for exams which I still believe I would have utterly destroyed, I found out that what truly made me feel happy was "interacting with others" => Just like Eric said, figuring out what they want, how they want it and such.
      And this led me to social work. Which is not at all an ambitious career choice here in France, pretty badly paid and all. But i get to discover new people, with mostly difficult life stories to tell, every day. And I never felt happier.
      So just in case you might find yourself in my situation someday ... get to know your feelings more than your abilities, it'll serve you well in smiling more on a daily basis. Because I believe ENTPs are such cameleons that we're all able to do pretty much anything, therefore we get told that should follow the "best fucking option". Spoiler : we don't. You don't.

    Dancing eyes is one the most obvious body movement that ENTPs do! Yes, I feel I m quite cynical at some extent and I like various of psychological methods to study humans. I don’t think we are the best type at all; on the contrast, I have learned we can be very unrealistic in this society regards to judging ‘quality of life’
    But I m very curious,

    • @TojoRo
      @TojoRo 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      My best friend is an ISFP! I recently did a quick analysis of my thoughts on our friendship dynamic and this is what I wrote: My best friend is the ISFP, and from what I’ve found through quick google search results, is that we’re not really supposed to be friends because we are so different from one another. But really, I believe that’s what makes our friendship work. We’ve been best friends for going on 7 years, and we don’t really have many fights (we do have many a disagreement, however). From what we both have observed, she used to take my friendship for granted, and that would upset me, because I would rely on her the most for emotional support (even though my mother is an ESFJ). As adults, she finds comfort in knowing I’m always there for her, but she does not like to show me her weak side. She always would hate bothering me with her woes as she thought she would bother me (she knows it doesn’t) and I also did not really come to her for emotional support on an issue as it was and still is not something I do. Of course as I have matured, I know how to open up with how I am feeling and I’m still learning to reach out to my friends instead of dealing with something on my own. Although I do want her to come to me when she’s feeling down (and she does), I am literal booty at providing emotional support, so I find that the best thing that I can do is to get her to laugh, as I am naturally a humorous person, and we share a lot of the same humor. One thing we both enjoy doing is calling each other on facetime and just not talking. We both like to bask in the other’s presence, even though it is only virtual. (My INFP friend does not understand this). She enjoys watching movies, spending time with her friends, frequently rearranges the furniture and decoration in her room, and plans to be a teacher.

    This is the first time I have commented on TH-cam ever.
    The other day I met a woman who told me I was ENTP.
    I asked her how she knew, she said because she was ENTP.
    We went on to have a conversation for an hour.
    I think if anyone had heard our conversation they would not know what the point of our conversation was about.
    When I talked to this woman,, I felt more bonded with a person then I have felt in a long time.
    I think it's possible that ENTPs are 👽's and I am glad I got to meet another one of my kind.

    I don't know if it's adhd or me being an entp but ever since I was a child and even now when people present interesting information to me I get excited and my brain feels more awake and I try to grab that information as fast as I can, but without intending to, I miss a bunch of stuff that person is saying, because as soon as something someone says intrigues me, I start thinking about it instantly, forming my own opinion on it and analyzing it so I miss the stuff they say next. This always happens that's why I have to always rewind TH-cam videos and shows I'm watching coz I get so intrigued and caught up in figuring out the information presented to me first that I miss out on what follows and is said next. So I have to always rewind or either pause the video/show/movie until I settle my racing thoughts. I'm hoping this makes sense lol. Does it happen to anyone else too, I'm curious to know?
    P.S:- Also not just in shows and videos but in conversations and class too, it doesn't have to be something someone else said, it might be something I said myself which I keep nitpicking and analyzing that I zone out on what is being said.

I am so deeply fascinated with how different people work to understand them better and know how I should act with them to connect with them. One of the biggest differences between me and my infj friend is that whenever she starts liking, let's say a certain musician's music, she just listens to their music, but when I'm in the same situation, I feel such a great need to get to know what kind of a person that musician is! And I end up digging so deep that I completely can feel the person and know almost everything that's knowable about them. I don't learn about everyone at once, but when I get interested in someone, I want to learn everything about them

    Okay so if you learn about psych you'll eventually find out that eye movements correspond to thought processes. Left = recall; right = imagine; high = visual; mid = auditory; down = internal (down left = feel; down right = think). Sufficient to say, you can tell a lot when talking with someone by watching where their eyes go. We entps move our eyes because we are making connections between things we know and things that could be, while comparing them and checking them against how they might play out, etc. Read about eye movements it's useful information

    Really fuck that's the first time I really relate to a type. I thought I were unique but at least I've got the best type. Furthermore, does anyone know if it is current to come out being 8w7 when you're an entp?

    Wow I was able to watch almost the whole video, which is usually not possible for me. As an ENTP I can say that everything is spot on. One note, that initiating things. Yes that's totally what happens either it's a work project or simple trip. I gather the information somehow and boom I've got the initiative power somehow.

    I don't consider or notice the eye movement thing. For me it is losing my sight on something or looking at something and thinking about something else, like talking to someone and listening at the same time, thinking about what that wart on their forehead might be. or what meanings do the wrinkles on your face have? If you have Googled before, tell me “what kind of wrinkles you have and I will tell you who you are.”

    ENTPs know about risks and the place where it is gonna be dangerous but they still proceed in the foolish way and at last realize what they had felt before

    I’m literally named as the queen of poking fun at people. It would be funny for everyone but I made someone cry so I toned it down.
