Wait, does Madness work in PVE now?
Hi Alex please can you tell me where I can get those Throwing Claws? Pretty please! I want to get it as early as I can
yeah....like how I should accest the new areas bellow??? I cant fly :D and I didnt find any route.....for now...
Maybe some hidden path around some river?? Jump under bridge?? Who knows...I will try and die again and again until I find it.....oh whats this? A poisones river.... MIAZAKY!!!!
It reminds be so much of shadow of the colossus..
there was an old bit from another page, when you started naming the flavors, I thought you were gonna take a page out of that one.
"these come in a variety of flavors like green apple, orange, lemon lime and (shows rolling sparks ash of war) GUN!"
Considering it still isnt out, yeah, i didnt know 😂👍
Saw this title and literally was about to post the same comment, like WTF?!? Good seeing you here!
Boo horrible comment -10/10
King!
The fact Miyazaki has said Elden Ring plus Shadow of the Erdtree is "Part Way There" in regards to his perfect vision to a fantasy adventure videogame is mind-bottling dude. One of the Greatest games ever is getting a "yeah, its ok, I guess" from its creator
I feel that too. ER and ER:SOTET is like a beta version of what is to come
I think he meant is closer to perfection
No, he means that he himself can't quite make the game he would consider perfect. Not that Elden Ring is just ok. There are probably some systems or mechanics he hasn't thought of yet that he hopes someone else might.
Also the expression is mind boggling, not Bottling
@@sanguinetalesshutchyo goofy ass up

This video is a great example of why Boomstick is one of my favourite channels on youtube. Dude experiments with everything, is skilled at whatever game he plays and is legitimately funny throughout. Cheers for the tips and awesome content mate!
Thanks, the four hundred and fourth Bruce Wayne!
I'm running full strength beast claws. Incredibly difficult to beat bosses, but I also have a mimic tear to help me out. We call ourselves the beastie boys.
I screamed when I saw the catalyst sword
Same, it's about damn time too
I hope there's more than one,
Really need a catalyst spear my fan character build

CATALYST SWORD!
Dude, the perfume bottle weapons are fcking awesome.
2:33 is that ocean of blood
At first I thought so, but if you look closer it’s a bit more pink and has what looks like butterflies at the edges of it.

spellcasting swords!?
Base game dark souls 3 had like 4 or 5.
The weapons in Elden Ring were the biggest disappointment to me, with things like catalyst weapons and more creative paired weapons being nowhere to be seen.
If this DLC can deliver on a transforming weapon like the aquamarine dagger or the ringed knight straight sword, I'll be fully satisfied. Everything I'd seen only elevates the game to the level of base DS3's weapons imo, if they can meet the expectations set by both DLCs, I'll finally quit complaining about this, even though I still think it's unforgivable the game launched with nothing more creative than standard weapons with several varieties of death laser that does a million bajillion damage on the weapon art.
@@Ezekiel_Allium my first from game was Sekiro. Now elden ring
Sometime i see people complain about what is/isn’t in ER from other From games. At this point, i’m kinda glad i’m ignorant of it. Ignorance is Bliss in this moment
@@tlungu962 lol, that's a good mindset. I do think elden ring was a huge improvement over ds3 in a lot of ways, like, I do think jumping was a huge stride forward that adds a lot to the flow of combat, and I think the new setting gave them a huge surge of creative freedom.
But that's just what makes it so strange to me they walked back all the massive strides they made with the arsenal. IMO Elden Ring should have released with an arsenal to rival DS3's DLCs, but it didn't even live up to the base game.
But that's my single huge complaint other than how they handled a certain minor boss, and everything I've heard about the dlc seems to be everything I loved about the base game, and the DLC does also innovate the arsenal in new ways. I'm really looking forward to see how I can incorporate the perfumes into a wacky offhand setup, and the default beast claws and dry leaf arts actually make me want to try out fist weapons for the first time ever lol.
@@Ezekiel_Allium yup despite my ignorance the stuff i hear in some of their older games would 100% be nice.
Very excited for those fist weapons too. I also had no interest in that weapon type until the dlc.
@@Ezekiel_Alliumwell theres a boss soul weapon that gives dual wield light greatsword and longswird offhand. moveset is very fun and its Ash is basically night and flame but with blade beams and big ring of fire.
7:24 Chacrams!?
7:52 So help me god if there isn't a bloody hell ice paired weapon we riot
Also between perfume Bottles, Throwing knives, and the new spells Im sure you can make a magic ninja build
Absolutely W video for a W expansion. I urge you to make MORE videos about the DLCs secret zones, new weapons, new bosses, maybe even more tips and just bring back the content that was here when Elden Ring first launched. This is like 2022 once again boiiiiisssss ITS ELDEN RINGING TIME 😍💯
Went into it and after finding the hand to hand fist weapon I've been running a Cold Fist Monk so far with a Jar Helmet to help enhance jars since I don't really have other projectiles. Might consider the throwing weapon for those situations.
Otherwise seeing a throwing dagger just gives more ideas towards an eventual Castlevania character build that would use whips, throwing weapons, and jars.
This is really helpful
Bruh you always keep it 💯.
I'm bringing in a Lightning/Dex-Faith build. It's mostly lightning-based spells and weapons, but I've got some fire spells mixed in there for extra coverage since all the base-game Lightning spells are slower and/or like to be charged up. I'm fully prepared to get by with just Lightning Spear spam until I find more new stuff to add to my arsenal in the dlc.
Something else of note is really pay attention to the text when picking Remembrance items. A new staff doubles for both Sorcery and Incantations while Messmer's spear has a custom charged R2 that throws the spear. Actually not even just Remembrance items. Like the Black Steel Greathammer has a custom guard counter AND gets bonus damage from applying Golden Grease or Order's Blade to the weapon (not just making it Sacred though).
So for anyone that didnt know, the mohg and morgott shackle items that are normally used to stun their respective bosses can be used in the base game (and the dlc) to reveal any hidden walls in a fairly large area. I belive this is becuase they do 0 damage to anything within a radius as part of a coding quirk in order to initiate their effect during the boss fight, meaning they can still technically hit things. However a new useful way to use these items in the dlc is to reveal the hidden spirit springs that would normally require a rock pile to be knocked over, I disovered this while looking for an invisible wall in a random enclosed area full of animals near a furnace golem in the north west of the map near the last of miquellas crosses. Due to the large radius its likely you dont actually have to hunt down that little rock pile for a lot of these spirit springs but can instead just slam the shackle on the floor.
2:33 That's... a bigger version of the Rivers of Blood
IK RIGHT
@@user-jv2qr4gw6f DO YOU KNOW WHAT DAMAGE THIS COULD DO?!
"Ocean of Blood"
2:33 Did i just see a Rivers of Blood great katana...my fuckin god i cant wait to play this DLC holy hell
I am high faith/dex so I am so glad you said that!
4:41 Ooh use the dueling shield with the want that lets you cast spells and incants, Blocking, melee combat and both spell types.
I CANNOT WAIT FOR MADNESS perfume for my merchant build
Amazing vid duude😅👍🔥
YAY! They brought back melee catalysts ❤🎉❤🎉❤

I often feel like a human that is always desperately tring to behave like a normal human b&&p b@@p
Weapon catalyst! That what I want. Are there any straight sword version?
Also 2:39 remind me of crow talon from ds3 but mostly on the throwing side. Also feels like lady butterfly weapon.
Went in as dex/arc with rivers of blood, found milady, added blood to that sword and been loving it! build set up for consecutive hits AP boosts.
goated vid, ty men
Rellana’s light greatsword combo is legitimately my favorite thing and i am barely passed her
Honestly the perfume bottles with flavors was on point 😂
Those are phenomenal. Like instant incarnations.
From added goddamn flamethrowers to the game lol
These might be broken for inflicting Cold on Enemies.
I'm going into the DLC with a Lord of frenzied flame build

I am so freaking excited for the perfume weapons. A dex arcane build with them seems like it will be so versatile.
I feel like Arcane might acutally be useful with Strength Builds too for weapons like Meteoric Ore Greatsword.
I literally can't wait! Can someone please put me to sleep till release??
I run a high dex/faith build, focusing on armament buffs and weapon skills. The black steel weapons and the crucible incants/ashes make this build insane. Black steel twinblade with wings ash of war + crucible armour set (which increase the damage of crucible ashes) + holy order blade incant = Insta death
Im currently using the drykeaf arts theyre so fun to use
Do the offhand perfume aplies extra status (aka you now do 2x more status total) or does it delude the original one so it does 1/2 and 1/2 of total status ?
were any of the new casting weapons buffed ? since the reports are that the casting damage scaling on them is abysmall at best
High strength/faith. Super interested in the perfumes or hand to hand combat.
I cannot wait any longer!
I love the new beast claws I made a really cool feral blaidd build
I brought in my NG+7 level 400 Faith/arcane/strength/dex build and I’ve been SLAPPIN
This is awesome
mesmers impaler is my favorite weapon since i got it and my build is built around it cuz the ash of war is goated
I’m like slvl 320 in ng+ 1 so I was thinking of going for a balanced build that gets me close to being able to use and try anything I pick up. An all-rounder build
I get you want to use everything but you can't realistically call any level above 175 a "build" lol
@@oysterlad to be fair, my stats wont be strong enough in each area to make it particularly strong. I'll be slightly less good than a specialized build at the end of the day anyway. just able to switch around for fun
@@oysterladyou can make a dedicated 150 build later. Find and try everything to see what you like.
Ok I just want to be sure I understand u, will there be multiple weapons that work like staffs/finger seals or just one each for sorceries and incantations
An Ash of War: (Incantation or Sorcery) which would've been better in the long run in my opinion. Though I don't see that happening now, especially since it's not the Carian Sorcery Sword's Ash of War.
Sadly, the Carian Sorcery Sword appears to be a Somber weapon. Which means no changing the Ash of War, no Buffs, or Infusions.
So many new options
I hope these work in the main game too
I hope there are more dragons or dragon spells for my Dragon Communion build!
I went in with my strength greatsword build and quickly upgraded stamina for a strength/poise. I stagger just about everything in 3 strong attacks, some even 2 hits stagger it’s amazing. RL 145
Str Int, with high enough faith to use Flame Grant me Strength and Golden Vow. I have been pumping Arcane for extra discovery. Currently sitting around 210-220s in NG+.
I pumped it to 500 in ng. 80 on strength, dexterity, intelligence, faith and arcane. I want to find everything and use everything without respec.
That's not a build, that's a god.
I am ready, level 713👑💪🏻 and Platina trophy in the game. I will crush this Dlc easy🔥🔥
@@rayality4968 level doesn’t matter. Won’t be easy.
@@sPaCe_NiNjA187 😭😭 i know its a different level system, thats ok its going to be a hell of a game anyway, my level 713 was soo good in Elden ring. But i will continue fighting on in the DLC almost 1 more day, time is going to slow suddenly
Feels like the design team was watching Clever's videos and said "yeah, we could do that".
Im planning to make a faith melee build and use those hand to hand fists accompanied with spellcasting
They scale on int though
@@perkinomics they're dex and strength
And int. Oh nvm, that might be my ash of war adding int. Ignore me
@@perkinomics all good bro
The oil tear os absolutely nuts
I went in with pure strength. I haven't yet found anything that scales purely with strength, so I'm still sticking with the Great Axe (Wild Swings), the Nightrider Glaive (Giant Hunt) and the Rotten Battle Hammer (Also Wild Swings). I should give some of the new big weapons a try, even though they seem to be meant for Quality Builds, or Strength+Faith builds.
It's served me well for the most part. I took down one of the colossal fire siege golems, and pretty much cleared everything I could without beating the first two bosses, but I'm really struggling with the main bosses. I still haven't beaten the Divine Dancing Lion or Rellana yet. With their high poise, tendency to jump around, and very small openings that they leave, it's hard to stagger them, and hard to get a read on their movements. I'm thinking of going back and reloading an old save with one of my other builds to see if they fare better.
I'm going in with every stat at 70 so I can hope to use everything. I am still on my first play though never finished the game just beat Mogh at the forsaken area and, his realm back-to-back. In a few hours, I'll be taken on the fire giant stop there then go into the DLC later tonight.
I ran in with a Str Int arc with dex and faith being weak but usable(this character is close to level 200 so it’s still decent.
Is there any new whetblades or infusions? Like a smithscript infusion for Int-Faith?
I doubt it but I hope so, I want faith lightning and something for Int-Faith it'd be sad for smithscript weapons to be stuck with Standard.
covered in oil you say?
AI YAI YAI YAIIIEEEEEEEEE
*pillarmen theme intensifies*
I cant wait to use the new weapon types in pvp! Definitely needed the nerf to madness and sleep.
I made a duel wielding Uchigatana/Wakazashi with parry build that uses a combination of blood infusion and Dragon communion spells I call "Dragon Hearted"
I’m Dex faith and I’m excited for messmer’s spear
I'm starting SOTE DLC with my level 170 dual katana, katana/meteorite build.
I have a high int. And semi high faith. I'm hopeing to utilize faith better in the dlc
God I’m so ready to play
is there more weapons and tailman for sleep bulids ?
Hello, is that red great kitana you had a giant rivers of blood?
We need a starter guide like your legendary one from the original Elden Ring with a route to get OP early from Scadutree and the like. STAT 😅
Something similar coming out later today!
@@BoomstickGaming legendary mate. 👑
Are all the perfumes bottles primarily dexterity, or what do they scale on out of curiosity? >.
Yeah I'm curious about it too
I think they can be given affinities. But the fire sparkflame one is dex. The lightning one is fth. Not sure about poison.
@@TheAlzabo lightning one is dex/fth not just faith. I think they might all be dex hybrid with something. Also i don’t think they will have affinities just interchangeable AoWs
Oh great, I can see at least 4 different builds I want to try. Adding to the damn annoyance of FS refusing to add the option of build saves to this game.
dont be jelly of faith, bosses dont give you time to cast soft hiting spells but they are good for dealing with mobs in the open world.
I have been running crucible incants with the armor and wyrm magma sword + talisman. The ash is a bit too good and i crutch on it
Your character is wearing the same armor and hood as mine so I had to double-take. We're you originally wearing the Carian Knight armor before as well?
if attacking the furnace golem's fire directly does lots of damage, wouldn't it be better to use one of those lightning bolt spells, or the aow, or radahn's arrow rain that attacks from above?
I assume you did a NG+ to get 2 throwing daggers? I wanted to make a throwing dagger build, but im def not gonna do a NG+ just to do it lol.
"my human hours" Yes a very normal phrase
exactly
Need me some green apple Despair😂
I’ve been scouring through reviews and can’t find any new black flame weapons/incants 😭 ghost flame dragon is super dope though
2 more days... this is like being violently edged for 2 dayz straight
I hope we could still use base game Spirit Ashes!
Is there a weapon that can cast incantations too ? Would be really nice to cast some heals on the go.
Not a melee weapon, no but there is a staff that can cast both sorceries and incantations. However it has worse scaling than a dedicated staff or seal
My build was a lvl 713 collecter ( i spent my time getting every attainable item in the game while i waited for the dlc) i will say on ng+20 the final boss definitely doesnt go down easyily even at max level
After their questionable absence in the base game, it's nice to see Catalyst Weapons again.
Though two sour notes that I've noticed is that 'Impaling Thrust' sadly appears to be the "locked in" Ash of War and the user apparently can't infuse the weapon with neither Dexterity, Frost, or Magic.
So close to what we already had in DS2, but yet it's another in a long line of disappointing carry overs from DS3.
I saw that Black Steel Greatshield drop at the end. I hope to powerstance two of them and stagger everything into oblivion.
7:37 We finally got triple ichimonji!
Those back hand curved swords are literally calling to me....🥴
I logged in the other day and I was wielding two dual Spears so I guess I'm going into the DLC with two dual Spears, whatever that means
I had a weapon master sitting at about 250 so I'm a pretty balanced build but running my great sword and the fingerprint shield and just going old school sword and board, been easy
They gave us Elden Ring 2 and said it was a DLC. Trollsoft.
Imma use that carian spell sword for a sick sword mage build
It looks like it's going to function like the other Carian weapons. No ability to change it up with AoWs, Buffs, or Infusions.
Since that's the case, it's weird that they just didn't settle for making its Ash of War cast the Sorcery rather than sacrificing the R2 and keeping a meh Ash of War.
@@Battleguild yeah I figured as much, ill be rocking a shield with carian retaliation tho so I don't really need to change the AOW
The horse makes it easier but you can jump over the fire waves without torrent, too.
I brought in a high strength high intelligence darkmoon great sword user and wound up with a high dexterity high faith Rellana twinblade paladin
You can do it on foot too. You dont need the double jump.
add them to my guts build
It's confirmed, my ultimate wizard will be a perfume fire ..err wizard again.
