In your opinion, would Dane's Footwork provide any advantages as the main weapon for this build, versus the Dryleaf Arts? Secondly, how would you compare Frost infusion with Dryleaf Arts to Bleed? I've been debating back and forth between running one of the other, and I'm not sure if the defense reduction from Frostbite would prove stronger than the re-proccable Blood Loss with Bleed.
Honestly seems like a fun build, gonna try and pair it up with an Axe of Godfrey build to make a Godfrey/Hoarah Loux inspired build. A big hitting build that’s capable of fast hits!
The Shattered Stone Talisman also buffs the Kicks in the normal moveset which the Dane's Footwork is more predominantly kicks so it can benefit form the Talisman very heavily
I've seen a lot of build guides and this has got to be my favorite one yet. Great pacing, editing, and video structure! Also the links in the description are absolutely perfect. Thanks for this.

This build is awesome! I swapped the dragon crest greatshield for Alexander’s shard and I haven’t tested it yet but in theory you could also swap the blessed dew talisman for militants prosthesis and go full glass cannon especially if you had enough stats to get your faith up enough to cast golden vow and howl of shabriri you’d probably die in a single hit but the raw damage would be glorious
I actually use the dryleaf on my arcane bleed successive hit character just to have a really light golden vow weap9n art on deck without having to spec into faith. Pretty nice.
There's also that item you can get from the southern grave that allows you to release a cone AoE flame attack for a bit of FP. If you're going for a lightweight set-up, it's a nice option to save a tiny bit of weight and get a bit of crowd control.
This is so awesome and the perfect path for. What I'm running right now which is the Dryleaf arts with its original weapon arts and I love it, fully charged ultra punch does a lot of damage and the air double kick is super bad ass, I mainly do those and running R2, the R2 double hit comes out so quick. Ihave been infusing them with lighting and using the Electrocharge incantation to boost that lighting damage and is pretty good. My build is mainly Dex and now increasing strength to go for a quality build so Cold I fusion might not be the best for me but I like swapping out i fusions or going pure physical

I rock a build similar to this and I’ve found out that the shard of Alexander works a tad bit better than the shattered stone talisman for that ash of war
Honestly, mix Dane’s footwork with those clawed eagle greaves plus dry leaf whirlwind, and you could do some hefty damage, bonus if you mix the claw talisman and raven’s feathers for extra jumping damage on top of kicking.
Lol I was literally about to make a guide video and this is exactly the same build I'm running! Super fun, love the fist weapons. I personally swapped between ice and bleed because I couldn't make up my mind.
An alternative to the Blue dew drop talisman could be the Sacrificial Axe as it gives mana upon each kill as long as it is in your off-hand. It works even if you powerstance and it a good alternative prior to getting Dane's footwork as it allows an extra offensive talisman.
I'd love to do a full NG playthrough with the Dryleaf arts. I guess I could beat Dane at around SL 80, but getting past shadow keep would be harder. I wonder if you can use the storehouse back section route to get through shadow keep without fighting the hippo? I suppose running down the west rampart might be close to impossible without shadow blessings, 60 vigor, and high fire resist? I suppose I might just try to find someone to give me the Dryleaf arts and get whirlwind once I actually start playing Shadow of the Erdtree. As for the build, I'm kind of leaning towards making it a night sorcerer assassin kind of character. Dual wield staff of loss for night sorceries, and quietly assassinate opponents with martial arts. Aim for 55 intelligence and vigor, use Godfrey's greatrune, maybe favor dex a bit over strength for casting speed, and use Millicent's prosthesis. Should turn out fairly strong at SL 150. EDIT: I suppose the claw weapons should also be quite thematic for such a build. I can just pick up the hook claws and raptor talons and just use them until I'm actually capable of transitioning to the Dryleaf arts.
You don't even need to do that, I found a back entrance into shadow keep all the way from the spawn that doesn't require a single boss. You can run straight to dry leaf whirlwind from spawn.
u could also replace blessed dew with the alexander great shard and do even more skill dmg. or replace it with milicent's prosthesis and do more overall damage
