I'm 52 years old bought my 2013 Mustang GT Premium 6-speed manual two years ago with 85k & it's my daily driver that now has over 108k & honestly I can't imagine driving an SUV or a Truck again so I'm in my Mustang rain , sleet and snow.
I'm 61 and my wife bought me my 24 GT in black. Love the exhaust sound. I drive it with a grin. Some things do feel cheep but over all i'm a kid again with a new toy. My dads first car that i can remember was his 64 Mustang and I've been a mustang guy my whole life.
I'm 65 and recently picked up a 2024 Mustang GT Premium. I primarily drive it in sport mode. I don't plan on any mods. I just want to enjoy it daily driving.
I'm 54 and about to do the same. I found the one I want tonight. Just working out details. So excited for my new ride, my 3rd pony, and first V8 growl.
I daily drive my 2007 GT CS and she still purrrs! I bought it brand new in 2007 and still to this day I LOVE my stand. Best car I have ever owned! Ford mustangs have a special place in my heart.
Got my GT Premium with Rapid Red and a convertible. No planned changes. Bought two rubber coasters with the Mustang logo for the cupholders. And car seat covers which look great, the red in it is like the car.
Good video! Tint your windows including the windshield and have zero glare!!!! Plus the new film really locks out the heat buildup by 20*F at least. I never tinted my windshields until 3 cars ago. I was amazed at the technology in the film now. Check it out. It will help you sale the Mustang later. Cheers‼️👍👊💪😎🇺🇸
I’m in your age group and I purchased my 21 GT as more of a comfortable cruiser. I got it with the manual, 401a package, B&O, active exhaust and regular non recaro seats. I also got the optional 19 inch wheels and tires. I had owned several fox mustangs when I was younger and this car brings back a sense of nostalgia to me. It’s definitely not a daily, more of a weekend cruiser to just enjoy.
@@Mrbobcat7 I have a SUV that I use as my daily which is better suited for the northeast winters. Also has a lot more room for people, and the dog. This is something I enjoy on the weekends and for when I want to unwind. I sold an 86 GT convertible that was used the same way in order to pick this one up. I know it’s not smart for an economic standpoint, but having a new one where I was the first owner was something i’ve always wanted, so I make sure to take extremely good care of this so it lasts me a LONG time
I have a 24 GT 6MT Premium w PP and love it as a daily! Only complaint I have is the infotainment sometimes is slow to startup, but Ive gotten used to it. Love this thing!
I just got one today GT premium vapor blue, PP, nite pony, 401A, magna ride, active exhaust, ceramic coated and full front hood and roof PPF it’s a 10 speed though but it’s a fully loaded one for sure.
I have sat behind the wheel and drove that thing. It was so much fun to drive. I agree it would be a show car and garage kept, right next to a Bronco 2Dr Heritage.
I bought the 2024 base GT 6MT. It’s also a garage car for me. The only thing I think I’ll do to it for now is get new wheels and tires for it. Have about 500 miles on mine.
@@cnweke42 ok. Thanks. I’ve seen markdowns at a dealer in VA of about 6-7 grand. I’m sure there’s a catch…these are collecting dust at my local Ford. I’m in NY…these dealers here barely want to give $500 off. Let alone thousands…
@@Derek-pq3zb When I was shopping, I saw some for $5000 off but they were automatics and I wanted a manual. Inventory cars are marked down a lot depending on how long they have been on the lot but unfortunately they might not be the one you want and if you find one on the lot you want but it’s not marked down, they might refuse to reduce the price. Also some dealerships might mark down the car online and try to force you to buy extra stuff when you go in.
My only regret with my 24 gt is that I couldn’t find a manual, and I couldn’t find any a10 or manual that came with the PP. I plan on driving it for another 3 years and custom ordering a manual with all the fixins that I want. Once it comes in I’ll give the a10 to the wife.
Thanks for thr video, very informative. 2:45 I didnt realize there were classic guages available, very cool. When I went through the options during a test drive I only saw the traditional gauges and the Fox body option. Congrats on the car! Love the color and Ford removed it for 2025, along with another great color..Atlas Blue. 😢
@@AllTerrainNation Oh, very cool! Did you get Magneride, I don't think you mentioned it in the video so probably not? I'd like to get a 401A with PP which is the only way to get MR so I was thinking it would be a good option if I'm already spending the money on the top trim level options.
I actually just test drove a new S650 last Saturday. I would probably get 301A and auto base GT. I priced out my usual Spec and for 25 it was 65k. Being in my 50’s I just don’t think the Mustang has the value it once did. I know times have changed but after owning 17 Mustangs, it may be time to look elsewhere. I’m thinking my current Mustang will most likely be my last. Only Mustang I really want that haven’t bought is Shelby GT500.
The manual trans issues are WAY over blown on the internet. The 10R80s have more problems. Both transmissions have had incremental improvements since their introductions. So your 24 may be fine for awhile. My 17 GT makes in excess of 700HP. Stock MT82 manual trans doing great. Car has 40,000 miles. 25,000 miles with boost. I use ALL of the power often. It never complains.
Exactly. People hear “MT82 bad and 3rd gear lockout.” and “10 speed e fbo mustang beats hellcats” and everyone loses their shit. My girlfriend has a 2011 3.7 at 153k original miles. She’s had it since 80k and had pushed the original motor to 400 whp NA before it blew up. Then, got a new Cyclone 3.7 and big turbo’d it to 600 wheel. Still on the stock MT82. Has had some issues with 3rd gear grinding, but it’s never failed. Never broke, never actually locked out. I hate the notion of the new 10 speeds in general. It’s made people “scared” to buy a manual because they think there’s no way to be as fast as a 10 speed and the fact that it even is a 10 speed makes it seem “cool” when IMO it’s still the boring much more boring automatic version of a car that should be equipped with a manual. Just my opinion. More people need to learn, and actually learn how to not just drive once or twice, manual and see how much fun it is. Edit: grammar
Awesome video Dave!! The Mach E with all its HP and torque cannot compare with the power and sound of that Coyote 5.0 V8. I only hope that sound is the actual exhaust and not pumped in. I also would have this or the previous gen S550 as a weekend fun car with an Explorer ST as my daily driver.
Have a Ranger on order, planning on a mustang by 2026. Undecided on color, love this red. But I also want a color scheme that says "it's John Wick's car".

Great closing video to such an amazing Mustang. I think you’re spot on comparing it to the S550; as a current S550 PP1 owner I couldn’t agree more.
I rented a car with heated/cooled seats and now I must have them! Especially if the car has leather or faux leather.
