Carlton member so definitely going - after hearing the updated team selection, it was pivotal that McGovern and Kemp return this week - our back 6 have been under so much fire in the past fortnight or so - the number of inside 50s especially last week. As a result, from my POV it looked very disjointed at the end and lack of communication at times although steppped up reasonably well. Still trying to comprehend bits of last game... but need to move on. Will be interested to see what the crowd number is tonight but i feel like its a must win. GBs
might be a bit of a bold call but i tend to disagree with you when you said you think the margin wont be higher then 10 points. i think both teams are capable of winning by 20+ but i think us in particular has more of a chance of winning by 20+. Melbourne's goal kicking in the first half of their last two games has been a little bit concerning. the blues will punish you if you don't take your chances. so I'm tipping the the blues by 20+. we just need a convincing win to settle the nerves.
Someone needs to explain to me why we work so hard to get the ball in the 50m-70m sweet spot in the forward half then we just bomb it to the pack 10/10 times Where are the little hit up leads? Where is the calmness with ball in hand to wait for the right option to present itself? Where are the nice kicks to advantage? It’s just rush, rush, rush it forward then bomb it every time Our forward line and the way we move the ball forward was a big watch this space leading into the season It’s Groundhog Day every week in our forward line We can’t just rely on bombing the ball in in big numbers to win games, there needs to be a bit of method to the madness
Dees fan here. Think it’s a coin flip honestly. Am concerned about the 5 day break, but blues only have 6. Hopefully it’s another good game. If it’s as close as expected, I don’t think either team should overreact to a loss.
I have taken the day off to travel down for the game. I am not sure what the result will be. I was sure we’d beat all three teams that handed us our losses so I’ve dropped in confidence in my gut feel and cannot predict. I still believe in our boys and don’t doubt their talent and ability. I will be cheering as loud as I can.
McGovern is huge. Also I know Young is a whipping boy but when he returns to VFL play him forward. Let him go for those marks and build confidence. Poor guy his career is on the line every weekend.
i’m going if you have kids who cares take them footys more important at this moment we need a flag. i’m also aiming for a new chant of COME ON YOU BLUES make it happen be loud telling u now it’ll drive them to be more motivated when coming from behind or when leading. thanks god martin’s back and gov thank christ
We’ll be there. Nervous (surprise surprise 😂) and feeling it’s going to be a close one. We have the ability to beat them but we haven’t got much margin for error. We have to be switched on. Hoping Gov and/or Martin are back and agree with Kemp coming back in. Looking forward to it. GBs!!
Carlton is the second highest team with the injury list.. Worst thing Carlton did was selling Paddy Dow.. Not sure whether that's the correct decision.. And we would have picked a key defender in the draft... This Thursday will be crucial for sure
The Dow type is not what we are missing🤔 It is the third (medium tall) forward type, like JSOS, Martin,...ect. Maybe even give Moir a go🤷♂️ However, if we continue to use the ball poorly and not sharpen up in that area going into our forward 50, it won't bloddy matter whose there😳 Come on, boy's work on it🤞👏
I can’t see the result being more than a kick in it,i wish my membership came with a defibrillator tbh.Fantasia out for hopefully Martin and Young out for Gov and btw Tez it’s perfectly normal to be emotionally invested in games against Collingwood,we all are
Is it time for the Curnow around the fire like camp, lol 😆 We usually play well against the dees, so hopefully, the boys will keep their heads up and get the "W"🤞👏
We are not travelling that badly Adelaide loss poor conversion Geelong 2024 premiership favourites Collingwood 2023 premiers In Kemp McGovern Martin Kennedy Out Fantsaia Cincotta Cowan
Melbourne will be fired up after we knocked them out last year. Our decision making and ball use is the area we need improve, particularly in the forward line. I see people blaming our small forwards, but I see them making space and providing opportunities, but we usually ignore them and kick it long to the contest. The top teams vary their entries. We are not far away, but need to close that gap, a win will give us a boost in confidence. Anyway, I am hopeful but not that confident. Go blues
Mmm....thought we were contenders, need to finish top 4, lose this week and against Swans, its looking unlikely. Rythm of being on the "up" gone a bit astray. Yes, testing time, must really perform in next weeks. Questions to be asked about some players...hopefully returning players can lift backline. Getting stressful....😊
It better not be a repeat as last season😡😡
Time to prove we are ready 💙

Well spoken for a Carlton supporter... GO PIES
Thanks haha
Really hoping for a response, if we show up and bring the pressure we’ll be alright
Correct selections are required. Not sure where motlop and Martin are at but we could really do with one of them
Looks like both still a few weeks away as per the injury report unfortunately.
Keen to get McGovern back this week though!
@@BlueAbroad thanks. Yeah I just went searching and wasn't aware motlop reinjured himself a few weeks ago. Thought he was about due to return 😔

Hopefully a maximum of 2 changes. Not sure if 3 changes following last weeks 4 changes is good for the chemistry of the team.

We’ll be fine - second most injuries in the league either beating or just falling short of the top sides. Except Adelaide

And all of a sudden Jack Martin is a test for this week what the hell I thought he was a couple weeks away

It is paramount that we bring our pressure game against the Dees or they will steamroll us. Hopefully we’ll get some quality players back from injury

Will reserve final judgement until the end of Round 24. I learned from last year haha
How long til Saad is back?
I am sorry magpies Will be in eight I won't be picking Carlton
The fact you guys are commenting so hard on Blue Abroad really shows your confidence. We're not getting to you at all 😅
Still too early.. what if your precious Diacos get into an injury
@@teh_hunterer I don't think having Fantasia that was from power helped Carlton Carltons kicking horrible like my team Power last week
