Think we need to not over look the fact that we had played 3 games in 13 days. We got heavy legs but we got the win Dees and Trac are absolutely quality. We need to stop expecting to steamroll these other top4 calibre sides More realistic is to expect ebs and flows in games. We won,and we bloody deserved it. Bring on Swans next week Da da dada da
We saw last night what the CCF monogram means to each player, passion, pride, and respect. As a supporter, you want to see that from every player every week who takes the field. We are in the winning industry, so enjoy every win, whether it be 1 point or 10 goals. Be proud of what you are witnessing each week as Vossy and the boys take us on the journey of a lifetime. BT should not commentate Carlton games!! My wife says I'm crazy when I blame the commentators curse, but he on several occasions, he says things and the game turns. "Melbourne has never been kept goalless in a half." They kick a goal 10 seconds later, and get another two soon after. AND then Jimmy Bartel, not as bad, "this is where Petracca needs to stand up," he kicks goal immediately after. How is it that every Carlton home game at the MCG seems to have commentators who hate us winning!! Maybe I'm just bleeding a little too Blue today, but what do others think?
I think this was a great win. It was scary in the last 10 but for the 10 minutes before that they were trying and failing to break thru our brick wall defence. I think we’re just a traumatised fan base getting sucked in by recency bias here.
Don’t want to be negative but if anyone thinks that’s going to cut it come finals you’re horribly wrong. We do not know how to shut down a game so just continue to play. We’re 3 years in under Vossy and I see no improvement in that aspect - even with a great record in close games of recent times the system doesn’t look strong
We aren’t there yet. Did a lot right in this game. If you’re looking for a reason to be angry you will find one. We needed a win desperately. Finals is in September.

These fade-outs are worrying . Too many fumbles every week , regardless of the weather . It's 4 points but nothing after half time to be happy with . We weren't even hanging on for the win , the Dees just ran out of time . Another 30 seconds or 1 minute I think we would have lost .
Very lucky win given all the chances Melbourne had in the last quarter! Not sure why Carlton completely STOPPED? Tried to be too cute in the wet! Melbourne outplayed Carlton in the last 3 quarters! I was disappointed after the 1st quarter!
We want to trust don’t we, when we are 6 goals up. But be honest , who thought we were safe? We have seen too many Carlton games in the past and cannot trust that they will retain a lead like that, let alone increase it. I didn’t feel like celebrating after that win. But maybe I’m being too harsh. It seems we lost midfield dominance despite Petraka being forward, in the 2nd half

Agree Tez - Weiters BOG for us, Walsh was the catalyst early but Weiters was dominate for four quarters

Nah you make a good point. Our percentage is only up there after we play North & West Coast.
