Kudos to this man for openly embracing and exploring other cultures. Love your channel David. Thanks for all the travel and showing us the food of different countries.🙏🏽😊
Gak ada yang gak suka sama masakan Minang, setiap food vloger luar datang ke Indonesia, wajib coba masakan Minang, selamat menikmati keindahan alam dan makanan Indonesia
1:03 Minangkabau cuisine is certainly not the spiciest one in Indonesia. As my Padang friend put it, the spices in Minangkabau food are there just to tease you and to poke fun (bercanda katanya) unlike spices in other Indonesian cuisines that are out to hurt you. 3:11 What you need to realize that Lake Singkarak is 1250 kilometer (or 776 mile) away from Jakarta but they insist on getting the anchovies from there to maintain the authenticity of Minangkabau food. Of course nothing beats having the cuisine in it's birthplace. For the real deal, please visit the province of West Sumatra and its capital city, Padang. 19:13 Sundanese food are not spicy on and in itself, but they do have some of the spiciest sambals. 32:43 I don’t like eating fish for the same reason. If you want to enjoy Minahasan food without having to deal with that, you should go to North Sulawesi restaurants that sell other things, not just fish like that restaurant. Rica-rica is best paired with pork, or even the more exotic bushmeat that the Minahasan people like so much 😅
In Indonesia, we love make foods or even sambal with different level of spiciness (mild to extreme level of spiciness). So i can say that the food you've eaten it is not the spiciest level you can try 😂 But i am happy to see you enjoy spicy indonesian food.
Welcome to Indonesia David, please arrange your trip to West Sumatera, to experiencing real Minang or most people called it Padang Food. Spices and and Chillies are different because the soil is difefrent
It must be incredible and amazing to experience a new country and new culture ect. But daunting too no doubt i reckon but i suppose that comes with it when travelling. The culture shock and all that. You must be pretty use to it all by now. Love your travel adventures as always. You're your a brilliant guy and presenter.
i like that most of the foods are spicy...a fav with most people...the dried fried fish,,,,white rice...tastes better than brown with hot/spicy dishes...eating with hands ...foods are tastier this way and yes David you will survive cause you're the Boss of Spice...LOL......Glad you had something to drink...helps with the heat...As always Thanks David ...be safe ...Peace.
I would love u too do a video about your experiences and food u didnt like and loved ect im sure u have some incredible stories and your natural story teller. Thanks again for ur content xx😊
Makan Makan!!! David, i may hope you also went to West-Sumatra, for a full Nasi Padang Food Restaurant experience?? Dendeng Belado,Babi Rica Rica,Rendang Padang,Sayur Lodeh,Pindang Siap,Gule Kambing and sooo much more.. And those Corn fritters (Perkadel Jagung) are addictive man..
Welcome to Indonesia, Bro. Hope you stay here long enough we have lots of amazing food to eat, places to see, and the friendliest people on earth to meet.
Mr Hot and spicy🌶 ( what I loving call you) of course you can handle! Just be a little careful . I must say the dishes are well prepared with their own unique way and spices. Very interesting to see and learn. Thank you❤
wow yummm am starving, love eating sambal dabu-dabu with grill or fried fish and cakalang rabe... i saw you've tried sambal Roa too. Roa is another sea fish. cakalang, roa, cob fish are within same family genes but different textures.
Wow. Indonesia spicy food you can handle, definitely you can cover all food surrounding indonesia. I belived others youtuber food bloger could not touch you. except Mark Wien can compete you.😂😊😂
Sorry David but I'm laughing whenever you start to feel the heat from sambal 😂. Since we grew our chillies in a different environment and soils, the character of the chili will also hit different as well. Some will hit you on the face right away and some will build up slowly and burns your throat and stomach after. So try to slow down when eating sambal. Unless you're in for a challenge. Lol 🤣
10:06 I like the way u use your hand and put it in your mouth by pushing your thumb,, mostly many bule couldn't do like what you did, they always put the whole of the Fingers their mouth 😂 Saluuut from Purwakarta West Java and have a nice journey with our Culture 👍👍
All together they were put with his hand. 😂 i've never been imagine , someone grab my food and after that they put on my plate with his hand 😂 i cannot eat at all. I'm little bit picky. Never eat same spoon with my friends.
I’ve noticed Indonesia and Philippines has same deserts, also at same foods like BBQ and many deep fried dishes and most importantly languages are little bit same (some words) also some facial features are lookalike unlike other east Asia’s countries I wonder what else is same 🤔
The way we gave respect to older by handshaking gesture and put their hand in our forehead or nose, we called it "salim" or "cium tangan", and balikbayan think the overseas Indo workers some of them did those too
Please, stop saying Indonesian dishes are similar to Thai dishes! Those two are completely different to each other. Every region in Asia is very distinctive and unique. Different ingredients, different cooking methods, etc.
Emang dia bilang makanan Indonesia sama dgn thailand? Dia cuma bilang makanan yg spesifik salah satunya yg mirip dgn yg di thailand, jadi gak semua makanan Indonesia mirip, cuman bbrp tipe makanan yg memang rasanya mirip

Emang dia bilang makanan Indonesia sama dgn thailand? Dia cuma bilang makanan yg spesifik salah satunya yg mirip dgn yg di thailand, jadi gak semua makanan Indonesia mirip, cuman bbrp tipe makanan yg memang rasanya mirip

Daerah Pattani Thailand itu berbagi budaya dgn Agam, Sumbar. Di kedua daerah itu ada Keturunan Champa, wajar jika ada kemiripan
