- This custard rivals Culver's custard! Easy to make! See how to make with an ice cream maker and without. Also, included a dairy free version!
For 1 qt:
1qt heavy whipping cream or Full Fat Canned Coconut milk
6egg yolks
Approx 1/2 cup allulose(Optional, can make without sweetener) do not use erythritol!
1 tbsp vanilla extract(optional) or extract of choice
2 scoops vanilla collagen powder(optional)
1pint(for no ice cream maker)
1 pint heavy whipping cream or full fat canned coconut milk
4 egg yolks
1/2-1tbsp vanilla(optional) or extract of choice
1/4-1/2 cup allulose(optional) the coconut will ver very strong
1-2 scoops vanilla collagen powder(optional)
1/2-1 tsp guar gum or gelatin if needed( do not over mix, add at the end and mix for no more than 5min or the ice cream will be gooey)
Large bowl with ice, smaller bowl that fits in large bowl

I used to put raw egg yolks in a blender with other ingredients to make me a health smoothie many years ago. So I drank raw egg yolks all the time. I'm still alive! 🤣

I'm not afraid of raw egg yolks.
I'm not afraid of them but I figure why risk it. Plus there are some folks out there that won't touch raw egg so this way they can still have their custard.
*FYI:* Your link in the description for the iodine loading test does not work. It comes up with the 404 message, say either the link was broken or it was written down incorrectly.

@@1Hope4All if you're already supplementing then the loading test is the only one that will give you accurate results. The spot test is fine if you're not already supplementing
@@Neolifeketoshari I have Iodine drops but I always forget to take them. So I guess the spot one for me. 👍🏼 I can't remember the last time I took the iodine drops. 🤷🏻♀️
@@1Hope4All yeah, if you haven't been supplementing for quite a while then you could likely do the spot just fine. Our functional doc did a spot on my hubs, before I had started supplementing him and he was super low. I had just started supplementing him with Iodoral(lugols in tablet form) the day he had his follow up. He told her, "oh I think that's what Shari just started me on now." She said, "I figured she was on top of it." 🤣 I started him because I knew his hormones needed it.
