i love the north point town center
I like how it is growing and they are making urban districts and you can walk almost everywhere
Take it from me: lived in NoVA for quite a while now, in Falls Church, Fairfax City, Fairfax County… and Reston (right by Oakton)…is such a beautiful residential neighborhood, at least in my opinion. It’s like living within a large national park.
I live in Reston and it is pretty nice.

Lived there as a child. 35 years ago. I’ve looked up Reston for nostalgia reasons. I’m commenting before I’ve watched this video. If I think it’s gotten better with time I’ll follow up my comment. Most of the time towns go down hill and while I was very young when I lived here I’ll take the time to comment if I think the city is still a good place to live. If it isn’t than this is the only comment you’ll read

Unfortunately as always happens everywhere, the big corporations now are taken over Reston. They try to destroy one of the milestones Crescent Apartments years ago to build luxury apartments and townhouses there. Robert Simon fight for two years with the Fairfax Government and fortunately the apartments were saved. They were part of his plan, affordable houses for every income.
Now he is gone, let's see what's gonna happen.

Very informative and great quality. I plan on moving back home to Northern Virginia and potentially buying property to use as a rental investment in the near future, I'll keep you folks in mind if I have any questions regarding the Reston area.

My wife is from Reston, I was last there in Jan 2019. But made many trips... Great place. Love the walk in the woods next to home depo and the lake walk and the clay shooting ground bullring, Tyson corner food court.
Where you sat with the statue there is a community hall, that's where I got married and had a little party their too.
Now I am waiting for my interview at the us embassy in London but it is a waiting game due to COVID19 ... my wife and I are looking for a property, don't get me wrong where she lives at the moment is beautiful shopping complex 30 meters away. But she said when I get my DS260/Green Card or Residents Card approved she wants to move but stay in Reston.

Good all the Old Retirees need to leave Reston
I use to live in Reston. I moved their in 2003. I moved in 2019 for Family reasons but I would of left anyway because in my opinion too many people are living in Reston, and it takes away from the small town feel that it was when I first moved there.
Lol you cant get that in NoVa in 2022. Go to Leesburg or Winchester

Good, we want Reston to become a Giant City. You can move to Ashburn or Leesburg, or Aldie if you want that quite town area
@@deem10 Well, OK, fine. I believe in capitalism, too, but only because i can't think of anything better. But the deal definitely was, for REston, that the appeal was GOING to be a suburb that was only moderately developed. That was the whole idea. It's the main reason i moved here. You know? Traffic will go from bad to worse, and it's not like Reston was some sort of down and out town where we needed to generate more income. Are those things fair to say?
