    I love the one where it says "dont repeat too many times" and I'm sitting here like "i repeat it so many times because I forget myself lol" humourous to me but very good advice overall.

    4:27 girl what do you mean not being traumatized is more realistic and relatable

    • @diederdas27
      @diederdas27 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Fun fact: not everyone has trauma! It’s actually a highly complex thing that isn’t just some character quirk. Your boyfriend breaking up with you is not trauma.

      @@diederdas27 Dude I literally have fucking cptsd from being abused by my fucking parents don't you dare talk to me like that

      Diederdas is right. Yeah many things in your life is sad but not trauma. And it can be more relatable to readers to not have a character have all this stuff happen to them. Or maybe have a character that didn’t have any trauma until whatever happens in the book

      @@ChemistRain It was a fucking joke because it's not more relatable to me

      If your reaction to someone saying they're traumatized is to say "your boyfriend breaking up with you is not trauma" when you don't know anything about what that person has been through nor did they ever claim it was something as shallow as that, then you are a very unempathetic person and I don't respect or want to listen to anything you have to say

      I just Hit 300! Im thankful. I started publishing these because I needed some Writertoks to use and not many others published any so I decided to help and publish many. To help not only me but anyone else who needs these. My favorite part is reading all the comments I get. I really do love reading them

    8:20 One explanation: I ran out of fanfiction. That's it. So, I decided to write me own and now I'm ~50K words in.

    1:48 I disagree with this piece of advice. At least every other piece of dialogue needs to have a tag. If not, things get confusing. No matter how clear things may “seem”, it just makes a reader’s brain hurt trying to figure out who is speaking. Dialogue tags flow better (especially basic ones like said, says, explained, replied).

      @@zamp_gaming I agree with the part about action and description but that wasn’t specified in the video. Still, I think completely tagless dialogue is still bad. You need action or description at least.

    • @KatherineVijai
      @KatherineVijai 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think she means you don't have to say every single dialouge who is talking. Especially if its only 2 ppl. If it's more then 2 then I'd probably add more tags.
      (example)
      "..." A said
      "..." b said
      "..." A retorted
      (Etc etc. Like u dont have to keep saying it every time they speak if it's only 2 ppl and there is a pattern. (And yes I know my grammaar and spelling sucks right now. Im exhausted lol)
