I don't understand why they have to conserve? They're being a bit dramatic tbh, saying they have no way to get fruits or vegetables when thats not true. They can order online from grocery stores to deliver to their house like everyone else is. You just have to wipe down everything. Its not like they're oposed to ordering online either, like julien said in the video he ordered a bunch of those freeze dried things on amazon. Strange.
I've been quarantined completely alone for the last month and a half and whenever I sit down to eat dinner, I watch some aries kitchen and everything feels okay again, so thank you for having dinner with me... sorta

honestly i can only say it again and again:
jenna and julien and their little family are so lovely and they really warm my heart
I cook with the freeze-dried stuff a lot and I do it a bit differently:
I bring strongly seasoned water to the boil (I always do it differently, usually yeast extract, soy sauce, salt, mustard... It should taste slightly too strong), throw in the soy pellets, boil them for some time (at least 10 minutes), then drain them and squeeze out the water. Then I fry them without oil. Again, this will take some time, but be patient until they lost a lot of water and are nice and brown. Then, I pour on oil and get them crispy and dark.
Try it. It's delicious. I eat it in pita bread with tzatziki :)

As of the last month I have developed an allergy, gluten. I’m talking having to take emergency antihistamine because I had spaghetti allergic. I’ve been allergic to tomatoes since I turned 19, that was VERY hard to adjust to. Now overnight at 27, I can’t have gluten or dairy. So thank you Julien, for showing us other ways to approach our favorite recipes. I really wish I could just be ordering takeout during this quarantine but I’m having to prepare everything and anything I eat. So these food videos are a lifesaver. Thank you 🙏🏽😊
Sorry to hear. My hubby developed also either celiac or a gluten allergy (not yet diagnosed) at 29 so we've had to experiment.
Barilla has a delicious gluten free line for their pastas but it's been out of stock in our stores so we've been buying the thickest rice noodles we can from Hmart and using those for pasta. Unlike pasta you'll have to hand rinse the noodles in cold water well to stop the cooking process but once it dries it works all the same. :)
Hope you're able to find a bunch of good recipes that are safe for you.
Cant have gluten OR dairy...overnight...sorry thats not actually humanly possible, it develops over time.
