That duel commentary is hilarious. would love to see more of the raika insect deck. also, theres some whos running naturia raika. could be worth a look as well
Regarding your analysis of the reptiles: Night Sword Serpent isn't a hard garnet if you have access to the Raika engine, bloom's discard triggers the revive. Also drawing Serpentine princess is great, it saves you a feral imp search and she's generally a good normal summon since this deck has tons of ways to get started without using normal summon. Not to mention you can discard for raika and revive with beetle like with NSS and use her, which is very good. Snake Rain is also insane as an extender. You don't want to open with it it, preferably eat their ash with lonefire or evil seed first and then go into it, and it's also a thrustable full combo for the deck. Saying not to run it is wild, you def need more experience with reptiles.
A great comment and thank you for elaborating more on some of the more nuanced combos that the deck can do to make what i called bricks into "soft garnets." I do agree i cpuld have been a bit hard on the reptiles but my focus was more on the people that rely on snake rain rather than the subtype of reptiles in general. I also agree with you that Snake Rain is a very powerful card i just don't think all the cards a general snake rain reptile deck runs is on par with the risk they take. In more casual decks I have seen very weird techs hard garnet snake rain targets put into the deck that I didn't elaborate on in this video because I didn't want to make it a snake rain video but rather looking at the archtype in conjunction with the other 2 choices. Would love to give them another shot and see if it changes my mind. In any event, Thank you for this well written and descriptive comment and thanks for watching!
Ive found playing Ragnaraika with a mix of plant/insects in the main are great. Only main deck reptile is the level 4 Ragnaraika since its searchable, falicitates banishment requirements (resonant insect and also set up for Beetrooper mighty neptune) My current build on master duel is a 40 card link and synchro build, using plant tuners like Cyclos the Circular Sprite and Fairyant the circular sorc along with some battlewasp tuners. Thank you, and keep it up.
Ragnaraika Traptrix works somewhat similarly to Beetrooper Traptrix 1-2 years ago. You use Traptrix as an engine to search 1-2 trap holes and put material on the field for Jasmine and potentially Strenna, which lets you access the Raika part of the deck. It's quite popular in Master Duel right now among Traptrix players, and it's good enough for ranked ladder, but dunno how viable it is compared to other variants.
IS there some calculations for Ice barriers extenders? Because having 3 revealer/3 hexa/3 Sea diva isnt working as 9 cards needs normal summoning, also we arent talking about effects veiler/Ash/infinite impermanence... -Swap frog, Atlanteans, Icejade, white tuna, everything has discard or brick risk for extending. -White tuna seems terrible in a 40 deck as you have chance of drawing 2 of them. -Atlanteans do nothing without something to drop them to grave. -Once frog drops mirror master, ronintoad isnt option for synchro, you must link summon If you try It. -3 georgious or 3 garnets? The reward from snake rain cant be underestimated. First! now I will watch the video and comment properly. Finally. You don't know how much I tried to tell people in the ogdoadic discord that snake rain is not worth running. You can achieve the same exact thing with almost any situation thanks to nunu and nauya. For traptrix, all the list shown are pre LEDE (april 2024) and ot's normal that they don't have any ragnaraika variants since the archetype was not out yet. And for some reason the traptrix community never gave a shot to what Raika can bring to the archetype and instead keep focussing on be yet another shifter or bust deck. You don't know how much I tried to let people know that Raika Traptrix is good. I even brought it to the Spanish Nats ad got to day 2. Nice video! These past few days I've been wanting to get into ragnaraika, especially in conjunction w cucumber horse plays, and I've been really digging around thru the barrel of reptile insect and plant monsters to find a consistent way to access diabolantis, so lvl 8 synchro plays. I think it would be a good way to ensure cucumber horse gets to grave, and if made w more than 1 non tuner monster, could bin an extra target, like fusion parasite that can be summoned w cucumber horse to make lubellion and mirrorjade during the battle phase, for instance. I ran into the "circular" engine today and thought it had a lot of potential, but i don't see a way to make lvl 8 with it, mostly only lvl 7 and 11. I was thinking that reptiles could make it work, especially w the likes of the reptilian cards that are able to facilitate their own lvl 8 synchro (which i feel could be a worthy end board piece in itself), along w ogdoadic daybreak possibly giving more non tuner bodies for diabolantis to mill another insect or plant target, but w more reptiles means there's more chance of not having plants needed for cucumber horse send off, and I've been having difficulties finding a way to bridge the tri types and all their resource loops w their restrictions, especially those when they summon themselves and lock you into their specific tri type while face up on board, like nunu or guard mantis And w all of this being said, i still feel like nib kills this deck. You need to dedicate a play to a traptrix rafflessia to send grave digger trap hole to grave to negate nib, or have some rikka monster and rikka princess in hand or grave, but beyond that, not much besides maybe apo on master duel, but I'm hoping to play this in paper some day. So I've been trying to look for ways to play THRU nib by using the token and 1 extra extender to make a tri type link that can be shuffled back for a ragnaraika monster in grave, or something like that. I also saw ogdoadic serpent strike as a generic way to get a reptile end board piece back on board, which i think could be neat, but i don't think this is all competent enough to justify the resources. What are your thoughts on diabolantis? Do you feel like its mill effect and making a monster a tuner effect is strong enough to warrant a lvl 8 synchro strategy within the tri typing? And what do you think of ragnaraika being able to play thru hands traps, especially nib? I know that the ragnaraika chain coils link monster could potentially stop hand traps, but it needs to be on the next chain after the opp activates a monster effect, which would be too late if it were a nib they activated, and they could just chain nib to her activation and bypass the protection entirely, since getting a link 4 out is very difficult to do under 5 summons, except specifically during the grind game on later turns and summoning her back from grave. Thanks for your time! I love decks like this that have so many possibilities, so your video here came precisely when i needed it!
Yes, I do - i can post it in the discord. But I keep constantly changing about 1 card here or there every now and then. For example, the "cucumber horse" is in there really as a personal flavor and flex but does its job. Still working on some ratios and very subtle changes here and there to maximize effectiveness.

First of all sorry for coming late bro :D I was working on my vid :D Something to also consider is that you need more than 4 reptiles as the card won't resolve if you draw any reptile in such a case which means cards like danger tsuchi thing lv3 reptile is a good inclusion as both hand fixer and target. i have a couple i am cooking with and improving. A rosedragon decklist and plant ragnaraika are the decks i have been finetuning and having the most success with in ranked master duel. Whats cool is hedgehog makes a great bridge also with small world to get handtraps or other needed cards or vice versa can use handtraps dupes to get to hedgehog.
Insects usually live or die by their extenders - And are usually a 2 card combo deck. Wicked butterfly adding additional special summons if you draw it is certainly extremely powerful. I would give it a look with 2 wicked butterflies in deck. Also Ragnariaka Link summon that has either Resonance Insect or Retaliating C in the GY when you using samurai beetle as material lets you bring back one of those AGAIN for additional advantage dump/draw/search again. Very powerful combo I urge you to give it another look.
@@JessePerezStrategyGaming I've been labbing insect decks for 2 years. I gave up on raika INSTANTLY. It seems like a good engine but without it you can do better.
As always great content. Keep up the great work my guy! 😀
Awesome! Thank you for the kind words so glad you like the videos! :D
That replay was fire. Do you have a decklist for that one?
Yes, I do - i can post it in the discord. But I keep constantly changing about 1 card here or there every now and then. For example, the "cucumber horse" is in there really as a personal flavor and flex but does its job. Still working on some ratios and very subtle changes here and there to maximize effectiveness.
Could you make a video about tenpai dragon using hand traps or board brakers?
Tenpai is now using dark hole, raigeki, lstorm and duster with droplet
yes! when tenpai comes I will 100% be using them as I am a huge proponent of going 2nd decks and going against the grain. I will report back with a tenpai video in the coming month or so lol.
At the moment atleast, plants are really good in master duel, mainly due to it's dominance into the tenpai matchup
I just climbed to m1 with a 72% win rate using rikka
Im curious what your decklist looked like on the insect build it was an interesting thing to look at
That synchro climb into PEP...omg
I've been balling in the park with Ragna
The danger card is in romaji (Japanese written using the english alphabet). Phonetically, it’s pronounced like “sue-chee-no-ko”! Hope this helps :D
Btw your videos are some of the best/ most informative vids on the game
THANK YOU! I really did need that spelling I was struggling whenever I have to read that. Thanks for the kind words! Glad your enjoying the videos! :D
@@JessePerezStrategyGaming usually I don’t comment on vids about pronunciations, but tsuchinoko is one of my fav cards so i had to evangelize :D
Very good video! Have you tried naturia raika?
I HAVE! I genuinely enjoyed it too! I have to experiment more with different ratios and variants. It for sure has great poetential! Unfortunately, I never used naturia archetype that much so I was starting behind in the research phase and testing.
Alot of the time there are nuanced interactions that occur when playing the game that you only discover through play. Because of that I wasn't able to do a through play with the naturia varients and played a basic skeleton package.
With this said I have to futher dive deep into more naturia builds as I think there is alot of potential there.
Next up: Heros for 100 days
Elementals, Destiny, Evil (new support) or Vision
Great video as always!!
I enjoy your video thanks
Have you considered playing Naturia Raika? I’ve had some successes with it in the current duelist cup (reached lvl20 with them)

You should look into smoke mosquito for the tenpai matchup
First of all sorry for coming late bro :D I was working on my vid :D
Something to also consider is that you need more than 4 reptiles as the card won't resolve if you draw any reptile in such a case which means cards like danger tsuchi thing lv3 reptile is a good inclusion as both hand fixer and target. I am gonna try to break snake rain btw with this lets see whats the max potential of this type of a deck that uses it :D
I am cooking some spicy shit :D
same with lightsworm! or branded / i love this videos!
great video, could you share your ragnaraika insect master duel deck list?
This was never a debate, you just had to ask with type could go +20 by summoning a normal monster
Meanwhile i am doing totally okay with my Trapkraika deck😊
Appreciated 👌
5:55 easy jesse tsuchi-noko
Decklist?
i have a couple i am cooking with and improving.
The danger card.
Sue Chi No Ko
That’s how you pronounce it.
INSECTS LESSGO
Raika Insects is copem bugs are bad with raika, and they don't really work in tandem.
Especially after ROTA comes out in the tcg. The new battlewasp cards outclass raika, which was already outclassed by krawlers. You need to give your math a second look, because you are wrong.
I've been having quite a bit of fun with beetrooper Raika.
But there is a asterisk here.
Its Beetroopers as an engine for Raika and not the other way around like I assume how most folks tend to use Raika.
@@ultrawinggaming9764 interesting what cards do you play as support?
@@angel-memeroftheisles a blanket wrong is too generic can you specifiy the mathematical point you disagree with so I'm not guessing and can review my math?
Not enough cucumber horse. 1/10
Plants
Zu--Chi(as in china)--No--Ko
THANK YOU! you don't even know how much i needed this one! That one was going to keep me up at night.
God I think I found someone who’s pronunciation is worse than mbt’s
Tsuchinoko is prenounced su-chi-no-ko. think the word, tsunami. just a fyi.
