      Florida and Texas was burning up in May. Broke all the records. It was almost 10 degrees hotter and the feels like almost 20 degrees hotter. Alot of creeks were bone dry. The vultures ate all the fishes.
      It was July and August temps , but a month and half early this year.
      I am not a Democrat, but something is off with the weather this year. When Florida finally got rain....it flooded in a rare storm. Besides hurricanes, it rarely floods for a week or more.

      @rustbucket9318 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@wordgourmet I’m 43 and I’ve never seen a summer that didn’t have lots of over 100° days here. 110° is very rare in central Texas, heat index not included as that happens all the time. Climate changes for sure. It’s always changing. I see nothing to denote an increase or decrease in anything of note in my years. The water levels along the gulf coast are still where they were when I was a child. Summers are always hot. Winters are sometimes bad but usually mild with just a few really bad spells. Some years are worse than others. It’s been that way a long time. Long before the Industrial Revolution. Long before the agricultural revolution. I don’t pay much attention to the climate change narrative because it has always been changing. I am not a scientist though, so I only go off of my education, opinions and experience.

      Yes, but those temperature increases took place over hundreds of thousands, sometimes millions of years. This gives time for ecosystems and animals to adapt. The temperature changes we are seeing have happened in the past 60 years, and temperature growth is some of the fastest it’s been in the multi-billion year history of life on earth. Also, human activity has caused the emission of many chemical compounds hundreds of times more potent than CO2 that stay in the upper atmosphere much longer than CO2. Even if nature could somehow adapt fast enough to the CO2 increases (spoiler alert: it’s not), it can’t adapt to the numerous other noxious gases and chemicals we are spraying into the atmosphere. The major oil companies whose bottom line you’re defending couldn’t care less about you, stop defending them.

    Take lots of short showers. Wet hair. Or keep a bit of water in bath tub and keep going in and out of the tub. Keep wet wash cloth or towel on your body. Drink lots of very cold drinks. Keep windows and doors closed. Do not let the humidity in house. Keep fans on high. Cover all windows with thick blankets or black out / dark out curtains or both. Keep it dark in house. The windows if left exposed act like heaters. If no central air but basement go to your thermostat and put it on fan. Doing that will bring the cool basement air up into the house. Or stay in the basement with fans. Do not leave pets outside. If you see someone doing this help out the situation. Be nice about it or anonymous. Do not heat up house by using oven or stove. Do not walk dogs during a heat wave. Even 70 degree weather have killed some dogs. Outside only dogs should have a kiddie pool or wet with hose. Also shade and lots of water or should be brought into basement. Somedays there should be no outside dogs.

    Georgia has had over 100°F heat index for two weeks now, and looks to continue into next week. About ten degrees more than normal temps for this time of year, mid June.

      @@EMendonca-mp2mf Wow, so it's 2 days before the official equinox, my error. Weather people (especially TWC) love to make weather as dramatic as possible. I live way up north and we have had [on occasion] days in the 90's in June as far back as I remember. Not often, but not a big shocker either. We also get 300 inches of snow in the winter, no big shocker their either. Today it's almost going to hit 90 - noone is having a panic attack. LOL! Cheers!
