Is there some other easier way (like sweep command or 3d sketching) to sketch handrail? Because the way helix command is applied in this tutorial, its only applicable to the specific dimensions mentioned in this tutorial.
It's possible to place a center point on top of each of the vertical posts. Then create a 3D curve connecting the points. Then sweep a profile along the created curve. This way if you change the pitch of the stairs or the number of rotations it will update/follow the stair changes. Give it a try.
