Yes it is, what adds more for the scene to me is that when the guy first goes for his gun Wyatt moves in close. I like that, it adds to the intimidation, it doesn't matter how fast the guy is at that point. Wyatt's close enough to punch him before he has the gun out.

Notice how Wyatt was calm cool and collected and as the tension rose , and Johnny got up from the chair, Wyatt closed the gap between him and Johnny quick as Wyatt didn’t have a gun, so what we can see here is Wyatt is smart as he not only beat Johnny physically but also mentally, one minute Johnny is in what he thought was in control and next minute he’s out on his ass!! 😂😂😂
Bullies are used to people being afraid of them, or at least unsure - they don't expect someone to move closer to them after such a challenge. I had a guy, younger and bigger than me, square off about 6 feet away and threaten to "knock my block off". He definitely didn't expect me to calmly close within two feet of him and say very, very quietly, "first of all, you're never going to threaten me, or anyone else in my presence, ever again. Do you understand that?" He folded even faster than Billy Bob here.
It's a great scene on so many levels. When the bully realizes Russell is not scared, and he is, you can see his whole spirit just crumple. Great bit of acting by there. Hats off. Besides the macho side of it (this is a male fantasy) there's a more profound message: bullies only thrive because others fear them. Bullies feed on cowardice. And sometimes someone just needs to call them out.
