New London is a very small community just outside of Burlington, Iowa. I used to pass through everyday on my way to Mt. Pleasant. So sad to see this. Praying for everyone involved. Nice to see people showing up for each other in times of need.
We rode it out in the basement. There was no damage to our house, but we had tree problems that will take some time to clean up. We can normally see the cemetery trees from our house, but most of them are now gone. Hauled 5 pickup loads of branches today for us and our neighbors. Planning on more tomorrow, but it is going to rain.
Hmm just realized we were all in the bathroom waiting for a tornado to pass by the other day but the one thing I didn't bring in there with us was any dang shoes haha.

I think the poor girl was still in shock. Must be heartbreaking to lose everything in an instant.
