      I've heard by folks down there that they're building back. But it will definitely never be the same for many. Family, loved ones and pets, They can never be replaced. It's hard to lose houses and vehicles to things like tornadoes or fires. But when it really happens to people and they start to realize and think about all the sentimental things like pictures, blankets or clothing their grandparents may have made, or even earns of those they've lost before the tragedy, it's so heartbreaking and devastating to lose such that can't be easily replaced. If it can even be replaced at all that is!

    Showing us this with no narration or music, really hammers home what really happens when this type of storm system event strikes a small town in the middle of the night. Just close your eyes and think about the same thing happening in Louisville or any other large city in the area. This is why we have to keep our guard up, and actually pay attention to the forecast when the warnings start going up. And major employers need to start factoring in what to do in situations like this when you have Personnel in the building when you can't dismiss your employees because they run the risk of being caught in the middle if the storm system touches down because of high winds and flying debris

    Side note, it's incredibly interesting to see that those grain bins remained standing... That co-op is incredibly lucky that this happened after harvest. The only thing that saved to the bins was the fact that they were packed full of grain. Obviously the tops are missing but that can be pretty quickly replaced and fixed. Or at least they can be covered. I know stuff like that is pointless during a time like this but it's those little victories that help you deal with the bad parts just a little bit better. 🤷‍♂️🙏 God Bless everyone in these areas that have been effected in some way.

    • @oskarstobinski4522

      I wouldnt say it is no doubt ef5. I do see hints to ef5 in the video but nothing 100% certain. But honestly what we still can see is impressive enough. It is a video by which anything less than ef4 can almost immediately be ruled out. There is a lot of ef4 damage all over the place, and nearly everything in the direct path has sustained at least ef3 level damage. That is just very very rare. And on top of that it happend in december.
      For sure a historical event.

    • @metaldiscipline3955
      @metaldiscipline3955 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We won't know until they officially rate the "Quad" state tornado! However the destruction in Mayfield is nothing short of incredible damage, which I'm going more for possibly high end EF4 perhaps? However let's not forget that this monster traveled 227 miles, so we haven't seen all of the destruction as of yet! We'll just have to wait until the official classification of the tornado is released. Also, violent tornadoes are not uncommon in December. We had one here in Texas a few years back that was officially rated EF4, plus Vicksburg, MS was leveled by an F5 in 1953!

    • @TheCort1971
      @TheCort1971 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    How did anyone survive the candle factory destruction? Absolutely unimaginable what these people went through. God bless all of them ...now the tough work begins. I have lived through 2 F5 tornadoes. One that hit in 1974 when I was 11 yes old and one in 2011 when I was 48 years old. The tornadoes hit almost the exact same communities which is almost unheard of. Both tornadoes took the lives of family and friends. I can say without hesitation that the aftermath was the toughest because you are left with nothing other than pieces.

    Prayers to everyone envolved in the horrible tornados in Illinois, Kentucky, Arkansas, and where ever else that was effected by these storms🙏. I complained about getting 20 inches of snow last night here in Wisconsin last night but its no way worst than what they are dealing with, just terrible and devastating😥

    I know this hasn't been officially rated yet, but just looking at that swath and the horrific damage... this tornado had to be at LEAST an EF4 and possibly EF5 at some points. Just breaks my heart. So many lives changed forever in one night of carnage.... 2 weeks before Christmas.

    I would not be surprised if this tornado gets an EF4 or EF5 rating

      EF4 is a certainty in my oppinion. There are at half a dozen structures that have clearly sustained at least EF4 damage in this video alone. Thats EF4 FOR SURE and i wouldnt be to surprised if they find something even worse. That would be considerd a freak storm in april or may, let alone in december.

    Near the end of the flyover you see a hearse from the funeral home parked by the road. Tragic.

      So clearing roads as fast as possible to let rescue vehicles through is strange to you?? Relax, bro. I know this sounds shocking, but not everything's a conspiracy.

    There are big commercial buildings with their roofs or ceilings caved in, houses scraped to their foundations, cars and huge trucks flipped like toys. I’ve heard of people hiding in bathtubs with mattresses over them. But, then I saw mattresses stuck in trees along with a house completely scraped off. Their water tower twisted off its legs. Where are “safe places” in destruction like that?
    My heart goes out to these people. I live in Rowlett, TX, and we had a tornado on the day after Christmas, 2015. So, I have a smaller taste of tornado damage. But, nothing near as devastating as what these people are suffering. God speed in your recovery, and prayers for the injured and homeless.

      My sister lives there and they slept in the basement all night. Underground is the only safe bet in a storm with 300 mile winds. Amazingly their house was untouched and they were spared thank God, only 2 blocks from all the destruction.

    I absolutely hope these poor people are saved and can be healed. Someone needs to say this.....all week the major news networks and weather channels warned that this massive and multi state system was coming and they said it would hit at night. Why in the world were these people sent into a wide span roof metal building on a night shift when the outcome was certain to be horrible?? We have sophisticated warning systems and this was discussed at length in the days prior. Businesses need to listen and heed warnings. I am sorry this happened.
