Hello, did you try yourself to use the Ray on a PC to watch YouTude video?
This soundbar is amazing when playing music via AirPlay, but, through optical... yerk... unless I missed a setting somewhere

Thanks for the review. You answered my main concern, if I can or can’t control my tv volume using my IR tv remote with just an optical input on the ray.

Any thoughts on the samsung q910b soundbar

I haven’t heard it but looking at those rear speakers they’re not nearly as good as the ones on the Q950a and I’m guessing same goes for the Q990b. The main bar looks the same as the Q990b tho. What’s the price difference where you live between Q990b and Q910b?

      @@archwaytech 1900 and 1200. Q990 being the more expensive

Really is bizarre how it only supports Optical. I don’t care how small it is, in 2022, everything should support HDMI and ARC, at least, right? 🤷‍♂️ Thanks for the review!

Yeah it sure is! Clearly trying to protect the Beam’s sales and get people into the eco system with a cheaper offering. No worries. Thanks for watching Ealan 😊

I have a Ray in my office and it is great. The Ray doesn’t have Atmos or anything that requires ARC, so not having HDMI is really a non issue for me. This isn’t a product that people will be putting in theater room, most of these will be in offices or bedrooms. I’ve even seen people use them as just another Sonos speaker in their system.

Hey Josh! When is the hwq990b review coming?

Hey Jatinder. I ordered it at the beginning of May and still waiting for delivery. Looks like the rest of the world got it before New Zealand. No surprises there 😋

So much efforts making a low end product, should rather just spend it on a few engineers and make eArc upgraded version of their other soundbars.

The Ray is not worth the money, just admit it. Don’t buy it.
