This is especially apparent in t.m.o., where it seems to talk about parasocial relationships and the commodification of artists. I realized that almost every song on the album uses the well known Amen Break, and I think that's a great representation of artists being neglected. The drummer who made the amen break, Gregory C. Coleman, ultimately died homeless, broke, and forgotten. Although the amen break maybe the most well known motif in modern music, and samples of it were remixed into songs that made millions, he never received royalties or credit or work.
