Hey Max. Great video review like always. I had a bottle of this back in July. It smells very nostalgic to me. Reminds me of my grandparent's house in Long Island in the early 80's. As far as the scent, I enjoyed it but my wife absolutely hated it. I also felt it was a bit too feminine for my taste. I returned the bottle. A few months ago I picked up a decant because I couldn't get the smell out of my mind. After wearing it more, I loved it even more. It has a fresh airy feel to it. Definitely a fragrance that needs more wearings to judge. I find it less feminine and easy to wear now. I re-purchased a full bottle and it has become my favorite from the house. FYI - my wife still hates it. Haha. I think it will grow on her like most my collection that she dislikes. Thanks again for your take on Imitation Man.

Love the intended popcultural timeframe of the 70/80s (as a born mid 70s), so it's a must-sniff. My next buy Amouage would be the great Beach Hut Man, cannot get enough of the aromatic mint-fern-soakwood scent. Thx for the detailed review, topnootch! ☕😄👌
Love your honest review! Not a big fan of Imitation Man. I wore this to a birthday dinner, probably should of tested beforehand lol, and everyone thought my girlfriend was the one wearing the fragrance. She wasn't wearing a fragrance fyi. Not my taste, very feminine.

I totally love this scent. I agree that it leans on the feminine side, but that doesn't bother me as it's such a beautiful frag to my nose. I'm happy to have it in my collection. It's one of my better blind buys.
Reflection Man was reviewed at work. people said it smelled like a masculine drying sheet. I love leather scent just realize u must make them work. outfit and the authority u bring with it

I bought some samples from decant boutique, and they labeled my Interlude Man as Imitation Man. So, I bought Imitation Man....I absolutely don’t want this...willing to trade with you since I see you love the fragrance..what do you think?
Amouage has some great scents but I always get the impression the guy that names their frags doesn't have English as a first language but does own a Thesaurus eg Lyric, Memoir, Reflection and now Imitation. Wtf!

Does anybody get the new motor oil scent I get? Dry down a bit linear like Lux soap which leans feminine . My least favourite from Amouage
