Took me a few minutes to realise there's no strap lugs on the body. I've always wanted the screenless M262, that body appeals to me. It would have been great had they done a Monochrome version of that camera.
I asked Leica if they could add the lugs and they told me no, they dont change anything on special edition units, goes against their policies. I went ahead and made a custom piece that mounts to the bottom 1/4" tripod thread. The piece has 2 lugs side by side and I attached a strap to that. It works great and is easy to reposition and shoot without the straps getting in the way.
Whats cool about it is that its stainless steel and beautiful. Stainless's density is about the same as Brass' so its not anything that users will find very heavy. Battery life is crazy without the rear screen and live view. The top plate is much narrower so it looks more slimmer in ways. Paid with the 35mm f1.4 with which it came, looks great. many bought it for the lens when the price went down to $12K and sold the body.
A digital camera was never a consideration to own because I never liked the LCD screens. That was until the MD 262. The MD 262 is the best camera for me. All my life I shot film and when the screen less MD 262 was acquired a little longer than a year ago made it my only camera leaving film...!
Thanks for featuring the M60.

Mark's life will never be as calm as it was in Seasons 1 & 2 ever again

A piece of duct tape over the rear screen is allot less expensive :P
