Emirates flights are inconsistent in comfort, For example, JKT-Dubai-JKT aircraft is the worst type with mostly older B777 version. Seats are cramped and flights entertainment is outdated. For a 7 hours flight it is just unbearable! The only good thing from Emirates is the food which is definitely better than Singapore Airlines in terms of taste and portion. Emirates use a better and new aircrafts from Dubai to Europe and the USA. So Emirates, please do not treat Indonesian sector flights with your outdated aircrafts that is already cramped enough.
Recently traveled on Singapore Airlines in both Economy And Premium Economy and I don’t agree with you. economy was very cramped. The worst economy I have traveled on. Premium wasn’t as good as emirates Economy and meals on both fares was terrible. I think it depends on the size of the aircraft. Also customer service regarding my damage baggage is non existent. I am still waiting for a response many weeks after my flight. Won’t be flying with them again. But a point of interest here is that the mentioned airlines do not fly to the same or all destinations, so,don’t get your mind set on any particular airline.
Totally agree. Melbourne to Singapore a350 economy was disgusting. I'm 5 10 and my knees were solidly planted in the seat in front. Service was fantastic, food so so. Premium economy a380 on way back seat was ok but food was non existent. Served breakfast after 5 hours on board, it was terrible and no drinks other than water.

@@TheScenefulOne Look I don't have to prove anything to you but we were not offered any drinks other than water. We were given the obligatory tiny packet of nuts but water only. Breakfast was rubbish and I don't remember anyone else on board with drinks and we sat at the bulkhead of premium economy (BS) and I had to go back through all of PE and E to get to the toilet. Honestly I don't give a FF what you think, I know what happened. This was a flight about 00:15 so I wasn't expecting a party but there was no tea, coffee, beer, wine or spirits.
Virgin Atlantic is highly recommended
have always had good luck with Qatar. Unfortunately post covid their cost has been out of my price range.
Good seats are ROUTE-specific, not airline specific.
If your going to present yourself as an expert perhaps learn how to pronounce the aircraft types properly and also does non-stop Dan know your using his footage?

I fly business for flights over 5 hours, that being said my fwv economy are Singapore airlines and Japan airlines.
As for business it’s Qatar Qsuites.
There is also China Airlines (callsign Dynasty, from Taiwan), not to be confused with Air China. This is an underated airline, both econ and business are surprisingly good.
Korean Airlines has always had one of the most comfortable economy class seats being 34 inches of pitch. Since pitch is the most important thing to many travelers, especially on long haul flights, I would imagine that they are near or at the top of economy class service out there.

Love the video, though I have to say I did not enjoy my flight on Qatar, the seats on their 787s are one of the absolute worst economy seats I have ever sat on and the food wasn't great as well. On a brighter note, I have to agree Japan Airlines has the best economy class out there, nothing much to fault about them from the seat to the food and service.
Just flew Virgin a few weeks ago, the leg room was down right non existant, my wife is 5'2 and she complained!!! Seats were hard as hell...never again. Funny how you rave about the movies more then 50% can up unavailable

It's economy. Most of the time, l'll just pick the best priced tickets at that specific time (non-budget preferably for longer flights).
For me, Singapore Airlines economy is the best especially for business travel. They have the best cabin crew in the business. Professional, swift, and attentive. Food is top notch.
Emirates is the best for holiday travels. Nice cabin, entertainment, friendly fun crew (though I have noticed slight ups and downs in service). Food is great but below SQ. Qatar is on par with Emirates with a slightly more professional feel.

If you want to fly comfortably in economy, make sure you fly on an Airbus a 330. There are also some airlines that offer a 3-3-3 configuration on the 777. 787 is the worst. A350 is only a little bit better.

Having flown most middle east airlines, I would say that Etihad is just as good as Emirates or Qatar. Thai airways is just as good as all airlines mentioned, in regards to seating and food, just the entertainment system is not on par.
