    I must say, I have watched several videos on this topic. I never could grasp how it worked. I always used current position because I couldn't remember how to use the others after a little time went by without using the laser. It would never stick in my head. After watching you video it finally made sense, finally I get it. I finally understand how it works as apposed to just trying to remember the steps. You explained it very well. Thank you.

    When placing my material on the laser bed and using the current position, how do I know the place I put the material matches the position on the screen? Do I need to burn a spoil board with markings for positioning my material in relations to lightburn position? I'm probably not making sense. 😊

    Yeaa... Maybe consider fixing that Drag Chain that keeps getting caught on the inside of the Top/Lid?
    The Moving End at the Tool Head isn't supposed to be able to make a つ like bend yours does it should be ⸧ ( both Straights parallel to each other with a uniform Bend ) which is USUALLY achieved by installing and Endpiece that only allows for the Chain to curl inwards ( essentially like all the other links ) unlike yours which seems to allow for an outward movement - The latter of which can be fixed adding a something like a Popsicle Wood in there to block the upwards movement between the Endpiece and the first Link following it.
    Concerning the Machine vs. Job Origin thing I'd like to explain it as a Contractor with a Map of your Town and a Floor Plan of your House... The Map of your Town will tell him where to start getting into it ( Machone Origin ) and how from there to get to your House. Once at the Door of your House ( Job Origin ) he'll whip out the Floor Plan. Which Door of the House he uses would then be the equivalent of a Start Position 🤔

    Sometimes while engraving my laser head jumps to another point and counties from there, (few millimetrs on X and some times on Y). So this sudden jump will destroy all my jobs, specifically when I am working on Granite.

    One the OMTech Polar tho the laser doesn't start at 0,0. Starts about 30x8 since its got that big box around it. Which sucks cuz you waste material. So I put a 25x25mm box that the right corner starts at 200x10 on the honeycomb..But when I go to laser it its at starts the box at 230x20. Any idea on how I get that distance offset to match up the LB grid on the screen and the laser ?

    Hi,i have a different "problem". Sometimes when i hit the start button it says "cut may be out of bounds". I have no clue what that means. I've looked on forums and on YT,but can't find anything on this matter. Maybe you can help me. Will be much appreciated. ( i'm using lightburn too).

    • @BeardedBuildsCo
      @BeardedBuildsCo  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It means that your job is going to cause the laser head to hit the sides of the machine.
      You are either not using the start positions correctly because it is placing the design too close to the edge of the workspace or you have stray objects on your workspace that need to be deleted.
      Use this video and test out the different start positions.

    There are glitches to that story. You should explain that too. For instance, If you have layers off the grid (whether they are visible or inactive) and you do not have cut selected graphics and use selection origin turned on, your homing will not work. Job origin has no effect on anything in this case and I totally feel it is a glitch that Lightburn needs to fix. It could cost hours to figure out why your job origin is not working.
    In my opinion the placement of job origin should take precedence and focus instead of job pieces.
