Dude, honda city is not a driver's car, its rather comfort oriented. Skoda rapid and VW vento are driver's car in this segment, infact honda city is a nice product. Do drive vento or rapid,and city above 100 kmph on highway, you fell the difference, in steering feedback and handling. The major selling point of honda city is, its design and space ,and its very cheep to maintain. A very good long lasting product. On the other hand, vw and skoda are expensive to maintain and less space inside my suggestion for a family is always honda city, if the driver has keen interest in driving he can go for German products
You are right german cars are the best in terms of driving experience and feedback but they aren't pocket friendly.
No car in the segment beats the fun to drive nature of the 1.5 ivtec engine . The only competition it had was Vento tsi with a dsg gearbox , that too stop production now. Honda diesel sucks though.
@@neeerajtk I have driven both i vtech and TSI, their difference is not in the city, but on the highway. I vtech engine is good, but not to compare with TSI, in fact, this i vtech is decades old, but I still love honda city because of its design and space,
Bro. Honda city 2020 5th generation has genes of 1998 1st generation honda city. The engine L1B51 had been used all international market including japan as JDM. They improved low range. Although middle range is flat. Top range is do awesome. Second gear goes in 108 and third gear goes in 150 plus. And huge pick. I was able to beat polo and vento TSIs on highway. Good stability. Didn't even feel a shake or stearing vibration. It's awesome.
Do check new honda city. Plus honda had given turbo for the Thai versions.
Although I have to agree with you on the 4th generation honda city.
Bro Honda city has a VTEC naturally aspirated engine, it has less torque than the turbo variants like rapid and vento. So the initial bite is not fast as the turbo varients but it can produce max bph of 121 at higher rpm with class leading performance and stability. That's absolutely amazing technology by HONDA 🔥
This honda city v variant is an absolute value for money deal. Grt ivtec engine, good stability and all essential features. Only problem is that this vehicle is severely undertired, riding on 175 thin tires. Atleast honda should have provided a little wider tire like a 195 or 205 section tires as seen in verna and vento for better stability and braking.
Agree, I have changed to 195 and it's way more stable than the company fitted tyres

I am also using Honda city past 5 years.I am from Kozhikode. I am working in Thakkady. Always long drive with my family too comfortable.
Honda city is not driver’s car . It’s comfort car. VE Vento and skoda rapid are driver’s car in this segment. Anyway it’s a good product. And nice review by the owner.
Honda city when launched in 98 was regarded as the drivers car . Drive the honda city type 1 and type 2 first .These cars are still prefered by drivers still now .Its only after type 2 they moved into the comfort segment focussing on the families .

Positive side of honda city. --Honda city is a family oriented car. Well balanced car . Especially petrol car is a worth to buy. It's a Low maintenance car. Lots of cabin space. Good mileage.
Negative points of honda city is . Cabin not perfectly insulated. There are lots of wind and tyre noise can hear inside the car. Cabin plastic quality is poor. Not comfortable in a bad road. Cooling is not up to the mark. Also small 15 inch tyres is a big disadvantage. .1st,2nd and reverse gear is not that smooth. Plastic material used inside the car is cheap. Breaking could have been better.

True but not true, you can't compare the build quality of Ciaz with cars of Volkswagen ,skoda , Hyundai or Honda. And the driver feed back that you get from a Volkswagen is something that u can't compare with the likes of Ciaz. Sales statistics dosen't mean its better .People in our country have a tendency to buy something thats cheap to maintain so they buy it .The biggest example is swift , it just sold like hot cakes in India but you can't compare it with the likes of Polo , i20 and Tata .Their build quality is awesome . People who values their life and knows more about vehicles wont go for these cars with poor build quality that raises a risk on our own life . People who are going after profit doesn't know there is a chance that they can loose their life because all they care about is the profit and not safety .I hope you understand that instead of praising some luxury it provides.Saftey should be the top priority.

verna diesel is good from the engine side compared to honda diesel. but verna interior is cramped compared to city, espcially the rear seat. its not comforable for long drives. streering feedback is good in city compared to verna. if space and comfort, nothing beats city. cabin insulation is better in verna.
