Hi guys! For the next 5 weeks I'm going to be highlighting each members' solo songs each week and for the first week I decided to start with our boy, Taeyang. Even though this is a sad song, his positive energy and gentle soul warms me up inside. He never disappoints and I think my love for him is still growing with each "new" song that I listen to. I have a feeling this is going to be very nostalgic for you all so bring your tissues and let's both cry and drool over this song and music video.

The girl in the burning poster is his wifey-to-be that he is singing to.... Hyo-rin. And girl, you're getting emotional cuz the song was real and coming from his heart
The woman is Min Hyo-rin, they met on Taeyang's music video for "1AM" and started dating before the completion of his album Rise which has both "1AM" and "Eyes, Nose, Lips." The two of them broke up briefly, and Taeyang with the help of Teddy Park wrote this song to her. Taeyang and Min Hyo-rin got back together and were married in 2018 with all the members of Big Bang attending their wedding. At the reception, Taeyang sang this song to her. The two of them had their first child, a son, in 2021.

@@tdragonreactions I can't find much about what she had to say. There's more from Taeyang, she was the only woman he'd dated. She's two years older so she sort of led the relationship. He went on world tour and didn't have time for her so they broke up briefly. Apparently she liked the song because hearing it got them back together.

Taeyang, my no 1 singer in my life.....😂 his vocal always giving me some feelings that i can't find with others, maybe becoz he's soulful...if u listen from his 1st album till now....so yeah he changed his vocal tremendously...his styles are different to each songs

Such an iconic song off taeyang.. such a hit when it came out, the ultimate love song, or let's get back together song.. I really loved it, and it was so so obvious to who the song was dedicated too, our cutie min hyo-rin, so bold and awesome.. the song Is so hard felt, so moving and beautiful, I love the sound.. eyes, nose, lips, cam out when parody whe hot, and many korean comedians did parodys of this song 😊..

taeyang is a very pure and good-hearted man, i am loving his songs such as where u at, i will be there, 1am. but i dont want to see you cry whenever you listen to bigbang's ballad. let see bigbang' "tonight". as bigbang debuted in 2006, they swept all korea top chart during 3years in a row, at the same time they were criticized by many medias, broadcastings since they didnt depend on their help. so bigbang went to japan and made huge success. they came back to korea with "tonight" in 2011. i loved tonight so much.

@@tdragonreactions Music was also a profit industry in korea, so many media, broadcasting, and composers dominated the market. but this profit chain was damaged from bigbang's success bcz bb made their music(composing, producing mv, promotion) by gd. so i thought mass media bullied bb severely. and some people couldnt accept the boy who was just 20 years old
@@겨울비-f4u This makes so much sense. One thing I just couldn't understand was why the media would consistently attach BB since that's not usually how the general media (in North America) operates. I think you're definitely on to something and you're right, because in Korea you have a pecking order and then this "kid" comes along and disrupts the entire kpop industry they just couldn't accept it. Normally the media would give their audience what they want to see and that would have been BB, not bullying or bashing of them. There's a lot more to learn about this but I'm happy to take it in pieces because it's going to get too overwhelming i think.

There's another cover of this song by an American YG artist called Lydia Paek. She featured on a song with GD as well on his Coup d'Etat album. She has a beautiful unique voice and does her own version of the song. There's a TH-cam vid. But yah, the Fantastic Duo version is probably by far the best. Really an epic duet. 💛🧡
His vocals are unreal. One of my favorite vocalists of all time. I hope you check out his other solo stuff like I Need A Girl, This Ain't It, Wake Me Up, Naked, Amazing, Reason and Inspiration. This song could be the most covered kpop song in history! When this was released, everyone sung it! Plus YG ent released a competition for the best cover. Many artists also made their cover as well! You need to make an Eyes, Nose, Lips cover reaction too! Tablo, AKMU, Lydia Paek and many more! The fantastic duo version was the one Taeyang uses in his concerts!

This song was a song of the year in2014. And taeyang was the second male idol solo to won song of the year. The first who won a award was gd and until now there are no other idol groups who won song of the year as solo..
