What Inferno has in mind is that after 4. ....Ke7 there is 5. Nf5+ forking the black king and rook and directly forcing a trade of rooks after which White will be up a knight. Instead 5. Nb5 is recommended and I would like to know why it is better than 5. Nb5
If someone is confused on why not all pieces that attacked multiple other pieces are forks, a fork is a piece that attacks 2 pieces that would reward material
On Puzzle 8, Another way to go would be: white bishop should capture the black pawn on his left as this move attacks black's queen and rook. So if black captures with queen its mate with white queen. If black moves the queen then white capture the rook first, then if black queen leaves row 7 its game over, if queen does not leave that row then white captures black pawn with rook on row D, forcing the queen out of row 7.
For number 8 the whole sequence only wins one pawn because thier knight takes your pawn at the end, meaning the WAY simpler bxh5 which wins one pawn is just as good
I myself thought that 1. Bxa5! at the beginning must win at least a rook because the queen is overloaded with preventing mate on g7. It looks to me like Bxa5 is close to leading to mate because of all kinds of possible checks and discovered attacks on the black king.
@@renehenriksen1735did you see the NXg4? Moves like Qa7 and black looks fine( I am really low rating on chess) I mean BXA5 Qa7 Qg3 Ne4. Now Queen must leave g file and Qxa5. I may miss something I just see on my eyes and I am low rating

Zach I got all of the puzzles lol there were a couple which were hard like the underpromotion to the knight but I eventually found it (in like 10 mins or so)
on level 8 couldn't you play bishop a5 to skewer the queen and rook to win a rook because the queen can't come off of the 7 file because of the mate threat
On puzzle 8 rather than Bd5 you could take Ba5 pining the queen to the rook, If queen move any where we take the rook ... and If queen take bishop a5, White queen g7 mate in one (elo 1500) 🥱
Puzzle 8: why not bishop takes a5 pinning queen & rook? Black queen can only go to D7 if it wants to protect the rook. But then we hit D5 with our rook and the queen is attacked again. If the queen moves to any other square on the 7th file then we take the rook for free AND we then can drop our knight to E7 check, protected by our bishop. If not the knight we can take the f6 pawn for free...
Level 8 is pointless If you take the pawn on the A file with your Bishop and skewer the Queen and Rook, you win a full Rook, because the Queen cannot take, otherwise white has mate.
Can't you play Kc2+ immediately in the second puzzle? If queen takes c2(where the knight is) we take the rook(qxa1) and we're up meterial. If queen doesn't take the knight,we take the rook(qxa1) with our knight.
@@VincentvanRijn-gf5szwhat do you mean 2 pieces? The it's check. And after that if qxc2 we take a rook with us being up 3 points of meterial as 1 pawn + rook =6 6-3=3. You know what after Bb7 Rc7 Rd1 Nb3 Rc3 and Nxc5 wins a pawn lmao, though you don't fork a rook and a bishop you fork a pawn and a rook but yeah you are correct this doesn't win a piece
can anyone explain to me in round 8 isnt there a skewer with the bishop on the queen and rook as its brilliant cuz ur sacking a bishop but if queen takes then its mate as the queen is deflected off the square although if the queen doesnt take and moves away then we get the rook and are winning an exchange ? am i right plz do tell

literally me holding a fork while watching the video
My 2 elo brain doesn’t even know what a fork is
12:48 isn't NF5 even better? I mean this way the opponent can't check us and take our pawn.
rook F4!!!
now your rook is hanging
Your night is hanging your rook can't Protect night because opponents king control the square
@@Nikhil17900 NF5 would be a check and a fork... Rook can't move while in check ;)
You're right. Nf5 would be better bc the rook is sacrificed anyway
To be honest we need more chess piece and board unboxings

MY FAVORITE SERIES RETURNS!!
Puzzle 9: just take knight and it’s way easier because there’s just one attack piece
0:35 The black queen is also forking the white bishop and the white pawn and the white queen is also forking the rook and the knight.
After Knight takes h5, White Bishop takes e8, if Rook takes Bishop then Queen takes Rook. After all this, White Pawn takes knight
Puzzle8
bishop take a5 is better, then take rook, queen can't take your bishop
Ba6 looks super juicy on puzzle 8 cause of the deflection sacrifice and the laser beam
I think u mean Ba5 13:59
Idk man, after Nxg4 then Bxc7, the rook is just gonna slide away and you have an equal game
In puzzle 7 for the last move, Nf5 is also another fork.
Yeah idk how he didn’t see that in a video about forks😂
Rf4!!!
@@Nikhil17900Nf5 is check
In last puzzle if u don't take that underpromoted knight its still a draw.
I have a question in puzzle 7 13:02 didnt u have NF5 forking the king and rook
So do I
I mean, it's even better. 1. Nf5+, Kxd8; 2. Nxd4, Ke7; 3. Kg3, Kf6
Then we have the killer:
4. Kf4...
Black is on zugzwang, d5 pawn is blockaded and White is going to push f and g pawns
The black Knite in e4 would quickly take the white Queen
In the last puzle if we push a pawn and king ever tries to take that paw it will be stealmate
On The 7th puzzle i was confused because We can fork the King and rook rather than Desperado, yes? Or no?
0:10 everyone's just forking each other
On level 7 you could take the pawn, when he take back the white pawn you fork the rook and king
Eighth puzzle.
Do Ba8, if queen takes do Nf7 checkmate. If they don't take, take queen or rook, whichever stays on the knife I'd call.
+ if they take rook back with queen, you can also do Nf7#.
As a player with a 1700 elo brain.
I cant play slow chess. I study chess tactics to see them faster for blitz and bullet.
It helps.
Thanks for this series bro. I have been watching this series since the start, and wanted to thank you fir this great content on tactics.
Fork this tactic, I always miss it in real games
Puzzle 8 i would play bishop A5 couse why not? It would win materilal or not?
Probably the structure of showing the tactics in game w/ puzzles is marvelous, you've created a good material to learn, good 4 u
5:13 ; These pieaces are truly ffff....... forked (I thought you would say f.ed up)
On puzzle 2 could’ve you forked the rook and king and when queen takes knight I slide in and take the rook+?

Ba5 for puzzle 8

in puzzle 9 what if the bishop takes the knight

4. the queen forks the rook and the knight
In level 0
In level 8, what about Bxa5?
If Queen takes the bishop, we have mate, and if not, we take the rook and win material...
Am I wrong?
Maybe black has another move that wins.
Oh, no, he could just take your Queen whit the Knight first, and if u take the Queen too, he just move the rook
At 6:34, what if black takes our Knight instead of our Rook? Why is that trade 'forced'?
why is Nb4 better then Nf5 in puzzle 7. fork the king and the rook and if Kxd8 you follow up by Nxd4

If queen takes c2(where the knight is) we take the rook(qxa1) and we're up meterial.
If queen doesn't take the knight,we take the rook(qxa1) with our knight.
