    Hi, I checked your 3 videos about dog deterrents, which are great and very useful for me as I'm also suffering from my neighbour's dog. But I have a question, why do you need ultrasound oscillator, piezo, or anything specific like that while you can produce ultrasound with magnetic tweeter instead of piezo, and may be you could use an mp3 player with ultrasound recorded instead of an oscillator, couldn't you? Even a normal hifi equipment is able to play 21 kHz sound, isn't it?

    I really want to make something similar so the specific details of each component you’re using would be a big head start for me! I’m not an electronics genius, but I have friends that are. I just need to know the components and a basic idea of how they are hooked together. I’m also considering putting an inline remote that would open/close the circuit. I’d like to control this device from the comfort of my couch.

    @elrazthegreat1 thanks for doing the research and making these videos. I notice the specs for both the Skar tweeter and the Pyle PTA4 amp are 20hz to 20khz. Some have said 25khz is a good frequency for dogs. What frequency has worked for you and do you know if this amp and speaker combo can actually output 25khz? Thanks

    • @ElRazTheGreat1
      @ElRazTheGreat1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi Dan The Man, the specs for the SKAR displayed on the website where I purchased them apparently were inaccurate/mislabeled, however they worked fine, I should do a follow up on that system, what do you think? Godspeed good friend...

    I PUT THE SPEAKER RIGHT ON THE NEIGHBORS BARKING DOGS EAR, TURNED THE VOLUME ALL THE WAY UP. AFTER ABOUT 45 MINUTES OF HOLDING THE SPEAKER TO THE DOGS HEAD, HIS TESTICLES IGNITED INTO FLAMES, A BRILLIANT ORANGE GLOW. AS SOON AS THE DOG PASSED OUT FROM PAIN, HE STOPPED BARKING. SO, VERY SUCCSESSFUL EXPERIMENT. THANK YOU FOR SHARING.

    Thanks for the video it was very informative! Would you happen to know which of the two, a square wave or a sine wave, is the best for a dog bark device?

    • @ElRazTheGreat1
      @ElRazTheGreat1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Ron it depends on the animal's hearing sensitivity, younger animals have more sensitive hearing than the older just like humans, do a search on internet. However to answer your question, in my experience the square wave seems to be more potent/effective due to the sudden stepping up and down of the wave length (distance, obstacles and the output power would affect it too). Hope this answered your inquiry! Stay safe,

      @Howie875 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@ElRazTheGreat1 Thank you for your informative reply! Yes it answered my question. I am just getting into electronics and just built an square wave generator using a resistive capacitive circuit combined with an integrated circuit chip. I think I can use this generator with it's square wave generation and proceed with my bark device. Take care.

    One more question. I was looking at the frequency response of the Skar tweeter I think you have (www.skaraudio.com/products/vx35-st-3-5-inch-pro-audio-tweeters). The Skar website says the response is 2.2kHZ - 20kHz. My understanding is that dogs react negatively to 25kHz which is just out of audible range for most humans. Does this mean that the Skar speaker can not reproduce the required range? Sorry if this is a stupid question. I’m trying to sort this out.

    Hey dude, what items are you using? Could you please give me a list? Also, is the frequency audible on start up with your setup if you set it to 20000hz? From your experiments can the tweeters go through debris or some solid objects? I don't think I'll be able to get a clear visible shot at the dog...

    I live on an island where each house keeps between 2 and 4 dogs. Nobody cares about them barking every day for hours. Even at night time. It's a real plague!! I'm also looking for a working solution where the neighbors themselves don't notice anything.
    From your testing, can you recommend anything specific that worked well?

    Hi ElRaz. The testoscillator has two 1/4" jacks for the sine and square wave options. My stereo receiver has 1/8" RCA style jacks. I wonder if your amp also had the RCA style jacks and if so how did you connect the two devices. Did you use an adapter jack and where did you plug into on the amp? The aux port? And did you run just a single wire from the sound generator to a port on your amp? Thanks.
