Amazing that one of XTC's finest, and one of the best songs of the 21st century (actually late 1999) is not on Spotify nor on the practically empty XTC VEVO TH-cam channel....and only has 43K views on a channel with 245 subscribers. There are obscure local bands that are marketed better. Thanks Cicatydid for posting.
I really hope this album and XTC as a whole get the recognition they deserve one day

What a brilliant album by an amazing band, with shades of Pet Sounds and Sergeant Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band. I love it.
Loved how a ton of these songs started from weird tunings and evolved into the recorded tracks. You can almost feel the weird voices for the chords.

A wonderful follow up of "Pet sounds" in an imaginary world, and one of the best XTC

Happy day! I've just discovered this track and listened to it on repeat for an hour. This track is a manifesto for how to make authentic music in the AI age. I know its pre-AI, but it is so full of idiosyncrasies and surprises that AI will never mimic

I like this but it's very obviously derivative. Sounds a bit like 10CC were asked to do a Beatles homage.
