A farm is much more than a house to live in; it’s a lifestyle. My passion for gardening and landscaping came from outdoor work with my mom in our expansive farm yard, my love for baking came from innumerable short walks to my grandma’s house to make cookies, and as a farmer, my dad taught me that we are the stewards of our land.
So whether you live in a city center or have decided rural life is for you, I hope to inspire you with the projects and recipes I use in daily life. We can’t all live on a farm, but we all need farms in our lives. From the dirt in my vegetable garden to the flour in my kitchen, I’ll show you everything I love to do.

I didn't think the second floor could possibly be as lovely as lovely as the first, but I was WRONG. I love the layout, colors, and all the details. The home you have created for yourself is beautiful, warm, and inviting... Your no rush, collected, fill with things that feed you/that you love approach, heirlooms, and love, have truly helped to create this - a home, not just a house! So refreshing to watch this type of content, where hauls from all those big box decoration stores are not needed... What you do, takes thought, effort, time, patience...and it shows in your home.

Normally I don’t like complete renovations to old houses because they become cold and lose their charm. However, you did a wonderful job. Every change was thoughtful and some necessary. Excellent job. I wish your home was a bed breakfast, so I could stay there. Beautiful.
You are lucky to have cross ventilation in each bedroom. I love your color choices and especially your painted built in cabinetry/dressers. I just love it all.

I want to say now that I WAS WRONG! I could not see it, I had no vision. I thought the space was small for what you envisioned. But THIS? This is so lovely. Open and airy. It reminds me of the Scandinavian style (which I love).

BEAUTIFUL Job! Ugh, I LOVE the the shower design! So terrific to think about placing the faucet controls on the opposite wall instead of under the shower head! AND, whoever invented the pony wall has been traumatizing homeowners for decades!
It is fantastic and so functional. We can never have enough storage space but you did your very best to put it to good use by utilizing built-ins which I love. Thank you for letting us share the whole process. The final reveal is spectacular!

So well done Kaleb ! Loved hearing the thought process that created your perfectly functional space . Your pull out library shelves brought me back to my childhood . My Dad built the house I grew up in . He created a large pull out chopping board in the kitchen cabinets ! It was used endlessly . When I had a home of my own I had one put into my kitchen too ! Seeing yours made me smile !
The upper level is positively stunning! I love the wallpaper on the ceilings. Not only is the paper itself beautiful, but who wouldn't want to wake up to a garden view every morning.

I love all the light with window additions and love the storage in the hall way and the bookcase in your office. The hall way becomes part of the office and gives a great open feel space. The bathroom with the window addition you mentioned is so valuable. I like to enter a bathroom in the daytime and not have to turn on a light. Thanks for sharing again.
Have followed your 2nd floor reno progress, fantastic it's finished! The new extra windows are brilliant - how did you ever live without them? LOVE the built-ins, can never have enough of those. It looks very cozy and functional, and the Oakmoss green is scrumptious.
You can't beat having a "my little pony wall." Glad you had to put one in. Not everything that's dated is bad.

I absolutely love everything. Being a person with some OCD tendencies, I need neatness even down to a book or magazine placement. I saw nothing that set me off at all, lol, which is a good thing. I have followed you from the beginning and love everything you do and you have taught me so much !! You could do anything, especially interior design !! You fit beauty to a persons needs and thats extremely important. You have taught me to show off the things I love and trash all the rest!!! And I cannot say enough about Kip, I feel like a proud uncle, he could be my baby. I followed, worried, prayed throughout his medical crisis. I felt for you and prayed for peace and strength for you throughout it all. I was thrilled to see Kip come back as good as he is, it is a miracle we witness everyday. So keep up the great work, there ar many like me watching who I guess are silent watchers but always there for you and cheering you on. So, love to you, Kip, Joel and precious mom !!!

Would love to see some "planning moment" videos that give us a peek into those lovely vintage books that are out of print, but are still wonderful reference and inspiration. Just can't beat a cozy library with a comfy upholstered chair! And Kip sleeping half-in/half-out of his bed lets us know that your home design also considered his "canine aesthetic" as well!😆

Gorgeous space for a gorgeous man inside and out! I just want to add, because being a native Canadian, we believe old furniture can house negative spirits. May I suggest you smudge your old furniture. Bowl, Sage, cedar, tobacco, or sweet grass will work. Just wave it over the furniture. Love your beautiful home. ❤❤

Your renovations upstairs and downstairs are beautiful.
I do a lot of art installation with my business and find that 3M Command products are so useful. For small works of art you can use the velcro strips. They are easy to remove and change with no damage to walls. Great job with your remodel. It turned out beautifully.
The bathroom is perfect.
And I love my robes, too.
GORGEOUS. One small, unsolicited warning: in wintertime, if your walls get too cold, the adhesive on command hooks (which I also love) can shrink, causing your frame to fall. This has happened to me a couple of times, and I live in San Diego.

This remodel is gorgeous! Years ago I considered purchasing this older home and the main reason I loved the house was because the previous owner has wallpapered the ceiling in the dining room! It was so gorgeous. In the end I purchased a different house but I never forgot that beautiful ceiling.
