You’re correct. I tell ppl . That’s all I can do. My spouse called me crazy for stocking up so much stuff. I said , “ yeah, they called NOAH crazy too”…….. another person asked me how long and how much should he stock up. I said , “well how long do you wanna live” ? One week? A year ? Two months? Three days? That’s up to you ! GodBless you all !

My husband was problematic, he got mad at me two years ago for “prepping”. I continued to do what I could without saying anything to him including how to grow food. The other day it was brought up again and I told him he has no idea how grateful he is going to be at one point that I am learning the things I am and that I have done the little bit I have done and He said, “I now believe you”. I almost fell off my chair. Even the most stubborn people can wake up. Peace be with you all.

Isn’t it funny that it’s the wives that are holding down the fort and taking care of the family? I am going to look at some classes to learn skills like sewing, candle making, gardening, anything that is more the old way… so many people have lost those skills, I have too.

I left Texas over 2 years ago and moved to a more fertile part of the country that gets a ton of rain. I'm shocked about how people don't make the connection with access to water and being able to grow food and survive. I'm not an experienced gardener and I'm trying to learn. However, I live in an area where lots of people grow their own food and farm stands are all over the place. So... I am stocking things that I can barter with. I'm learning to can, ferment and and preserve food. It's way past time for me to learn these old ways. My mother and grandmother didn't teach me... but I can learn. I don't give a rip about anyone's political or religious views. We need to unite and support one another. Love for one another is the answer. "A house divided falls."

Farmer in Ohio here. I sat down with boss lady after noon milking and played her this video. We both cried. We both know you are speaking truth. We saw all the warnings last year too. I won't tell you all our preps as it would be a mile long post. But we spent 3 hours cleaning out the large dairy office. I have a lot of extra produce from my gardens. She has 9 large chest freezers. Tomorrow we are moving the chest freezers in, buying as much shelving as we can fit in the office and turning it into a food pantry for all 6 of the workers. We decided everyone has to put time into this to receive from it. Cleaning, inventory, rotating stock if you can't put food in. I'm so blessed I never sold my canning jars 2 years ago!

I'm from Missouri, raise cattle and the drought here is so bad that last night we started cutting off the lower limbs of the trees for the cows to eat the leaves. We didn't have enough hay for winter to begin with, have had to hay them several times this summer and there won't be a second hay cutting so winter is scary. A bale of hay this time of year is usually about $15-$30. Now it's $150.
But there's always something you can do. There was a similar draught when my dad was a kid, the grass turned to dust, rivers dried up and the cows were starving, so they got turnip seeds and sowed them in the fields. They carried buckets of water to get them to germinate. They only need a little water to start and then they grow no matter what and the cows ate the turnip tops and thrived.
Also, a cow can last a long time with hardly any food IF they have clean water. If your cows drink from a pond and the water is going down, eventually all they have is concentrated bacteria and they'll go down fast. Make sure to fill a stock tank and they'll survive off leaves or whatever for months.
pray for rain. and a mild winter

I’m a born and raised Texan, and am still living in Texas. I’ll turn 70 next month, and I’ve never seen anything like it is nowadays. My yard is so dry, it’s almost hay. The heat is so unbearable. The letter/email from the lady in Texas just breaks my heart. She’s telling you and us, BEWARE if you think it’s rough now, well it’s going to be tougher down the road. I’m stocking my pantry, closets, and wherever I can put my future food. Everyone needs to listen, or they’ll be regretting they didn’t. I had a $333 electric bill, and I was “conserving” energy, well at least I thought I was. Found out my electric company almost DOUBLED our kilowatt rates! Praying for a steady rain in Texas. There was a chance of rain and it dwindled to nothing. My sister went through the durachio in her area. No power, no water, supplies gone in the vicinity, etc. She drove to my place about an hour away to shower and get her laundry done. I washed her dishes and we filled water bottles. Eventually her neighbor loaned her a small generator. She had already lost the food in her freezer. Insurance only pays for so much. No one else in the family offered her anything. She knew she just had to ask me. If the shit hits the fan and I fear for my life I will load my vehicle with my clothes, medicine and all the foods I can bring. She has weapons to protect us. She lives in the country. If we had to we could build a fire to cook over. She has a creek we could get water from. She has a home generator now, very expensive, so we should have her well water. Again the dilemma is how do I share with anyone else when they might tell others and I can’t feed everyone? They’re pushing us toward chemical foods. I don’t want plant based meats, dairy and even Reese’s. I’m on Social Security and I’m preparing. I lost my job in December. I have food for long term but it’s not forever. Still picking up food when I go to stores.

Recently, 3 or 4 months ago he got on board and today while getting the things on my shopping list he called me and told me that Walmart had half pint jars (Meijer didn’t have them last week) did I want some. Many times now if I don’t give him a number of jars or cans of something on my list he will buy 6 or 8. When we shop together and the store has several cases of something we use he asks do we need this? And when I grab just 3 or 4 he suggests a dozen. Zeek, I'm not religious but I believe this, too. Be positive and kind, be about solutions. And yes, pray. Besides your spiritual relationship or spiritual health I believe it focuses your mind and boosts your creativity. Piggybacking on the collective energy idea, I've convinced people to prep and save accidentally. All I did is offer a safe haven. I let them know I had extra items I'd used for my EDC, etc., and offered them for free. My family members tend to be stubborn and independent but they're not beyond adopting solutions they see that work. Next thing I knew my sisters had made themselves emergency kits for their cars and began stockpiling shelf-stable food. It's like a testimony in church. Everyone wants to feel at peace, and prepping helps. 💚

Yes. We do need everyone's prayers here in TX. Its EXTREMELY DRY AND HOT. We are now on water restrictions and everything is way too dry. My prayers go out to everyone as well. God Bless us all.

I'm in SW Arkansas and hoping for a Fall garden too. Never seen it so hot and dry -- never had so much trouble with pests as this year. Squash bugs eating up my zucchini and yellow squash, grasshoppers everywhere. So much work for such a small return. It breaks my heart.

Thanks for the continued push to prep. I live on the Gulf Coast and my vegetable garden just didn't produce for me this year, Trying a fall garden now. No plans for next year as we are moving. I'm happy to say I've got food put up for about 2 years but I cringe knowing we have to move it all. It will be worth it in the long run. But so many people are forecasting hard times to come I feel compelled to stock up even more. Take care, everyone.

I agree with you 100% Patara. You really are a Godsend to a lot of people, but I think it’s equally important that we step away from prepping every here and there. *But* I think that only really applies to those of us who are prepared already.
For me, having one of those really deep belly laughs where my entire body is shaking adds years to my life, I swear. And spending time building guitars or working out or playing music and especially praying throughout the day keeps me healthy psychologically.
Yup, do your preps everyone. Give it 100% effort, but do find that balance your soul and body needs.

I told some family members to get ready for the last time this last weekend. It's true I was getting stressed out about them not doing anything and told them I will stop (bothering) about stocking up. I basically let my responsibility go for them and I feel so much better and yes more energy for my family.

I've only recently had my eyes opened and it took me hitting rock bottom to do so. Only problem is we've been transported into a demonic clown world. I barely have a about a months worth of supply when SHTF and its getting so hard to buy groceries that buying extra is pretty much out of the question. I don't normally post my problems but needed to vent so thank you for what you do and helping spread the word!
