- In this third episode, boss Jane faces her own staffing crisis. After the surprise resignation of Phil, Jane needs to find a replacement quickly, as the extra workload is putting undue pressure on the rest of the team. With no suitable candidates available, someone from Jane's past reappears. Could they be the solution to her problems?
In 'The Job Centre' we follow larger-than-life boss Jane Vincent, who owns one of the liveliest Recruitment Agencies in Bradford. Along with her straight-talking team, they're tasked with finding jobs for the extraordinary characters who walk through the agency's doors.

Agga should be fired.Badmouthing co workers on Facebook and then having the nerve to smart off to her boss ?She is not worth the trouble.
True I was amazed she just accepted she 'wouldn't use facebook in work time', surely it's within her rights to tell her not to add anyone from work or diss her company or colleagues on facebook at all, whether in work time or not.
She has a serious attitude problem and frankly I can't understand how she lasted over 2 years at a company behaving like that.
I whould get rid off her. It's fine to be "to honest" but not with clients or online about work and clients...

That's because you probably work a low end job. In better paid positions, people are much freer to do whatever they want as long as they are productive.

When I worked HR we had to be sure that EVERY employee even Physicians had proper technique when lifting. Or we were liable for any back injuries. I live in the U.S. but I'm assuming that's why they have people do it in this agency
That older bloke who Jane asks to state five positive things about himself...he lives in Keighley a few miles outside Bradford. For years he has just drifted around the town centre each day looking aimless and lost. It’s sad. Whatever personal problems he has, he needs a lot more than just a recruitment agency to sort him out.

He is my uncle and has just passed away. He didn't have dementia but he did have a lot of family around him that loved him very much but was very independent. He was a character who was full of life and had lots of support around him.

The polish girl has 0 social awareness. Telling an employer there work is boring is a terrible first impression. In the US she couldn't even get a job in fast food with that attitude.
I find Eastern Europeans to be brash anyway. The ones I have unfortunately been neighbours with are door slammers, and their default voices are loud. So much attention seeking. Personally, i just don't vibe with people like thatz regardless of nationality.

This is the one thing schools don't prepare you for. The world of work. I had an awful time transitioning from school to work. And I am going to make it a point to teach whatever children I have to be be ready for work long before they finish school.
Sorry these jobs aint worth doing. Set higher standards, work on education, get out and see the World. No excuses.

The ex husband is really rude. He married her in the past and cheated, yet shes doing him a favor and he has the nerve to keep bad mouthing her in front of everyone. I know shes kind of out there but she is kind, and he is awful.

That's why I never have and never will do social media ,my life is mine and so are my feelings and thoughts and sometimes we say things and think things on the spur of the moment and putting it on Facebook ,Twitter, Instagram etc is not always the best thing to do.
If that was my member of staff with an attitude like that she'd have been out the door a longtime ago, her feet wouldn't have touched the floor. The manager is been very fair with her .
If anyone working in US went on facebook, even one time, and spoke negatively about clients they would be fired immediately...no 2nd chances.
Seriously, Jane is a great boss. You can tell she really tried to work with her too.

I just found out that the agency has closed. They went bankrupt. They stiffed 80 workers out of money during the holidays.

A lot of it was the Bar Manger's fault, though. (He outta have been on the same side of the bar as the chap...encouraging and showing him HOW to do the job.) AKA gently boosting his confidence and making him feel he's coming along nicely.
▪︎ Rather than be on the same side of the counter as the customers. Coz all it does is make 'Mark'? feel watched & judged.
▪︎ And as 4 the Bar Manager instructing him to "just smile more and enjoy it"....that's a terrible way to "manage".
▪︎ That's like a Film Director saying to an Actor...'Please act harder'.
▪︎ Mark did the right thing by leaving. The Bar Manager was chippy...and had a complex. He most likely bullied his way to his position. Additionally, I think him being a "small person" (the 'd' word)...added to his complex.
Everyone hating on Agga....why? she doesn't give a f***, and she's in recruitment. Perfect attitude for recruitment. (Not sarcasm.): she's aware it's a soul-less, dead, cold job and she's not apologetic. Oh, and she shoots straight. Put her in a busy finance office as management. Her cut-throat straight shooting attitude is perfect for it.
In Canada if employee goes on FB and say neg things about job etc . They can be fired immediately .

You realise they get people minimum wage job while skimming 40% of the wages from the employer. So the company pays the recruiter like £11/hour and the worker doing the actual work gets like £6.21 ( at the time of filming )
