Didn't think id be able to learn it. First time i watched the video i failed. Second time I took it step by step. The key for me was aiming the first strafe at the line you mentioned. Then the second strafe is perfectly lined up ready. Thanks
The CS2 remake of this video is very relevant to me right now as im trying to learn all jumps on mirage window. I hit the vent jump like 40% of the time and the window to vent where you go to short like 80% of the time. Thanks to the CS:GO and this version of the video I finally hit the cat jump and I hit it half the time for now but its good enough as a start its only gonna get better.
bro, i have like 215 hours on csgo and cs2(total), and i could never do this jump, but i have very good movement. but omce i just tried this jump for fun, knowing i wont land it, but i accidently landed. i was so happy. even in csgo, where the movement was way easier i couldnt do it. but now i just practiced it and i can do it like 50% of the time...💪🏽🤷♂️🤣

@@cs2kitchen this helped :) but I think a more in depth video would help many people with including the mouse and keyboard mapping on the screen and maybe showing the vent hop from different angles like starting from nest or jungle as well. @cs2kitchen nah, tried completely unbiding that key then binding the to command and same thing was happening, i think it is like that cuz it teleports you a tiny bit in the floor

Yes I am but it is also easily possible without a bind. duck jump bind makes things more easy. the problem most likely might be you pressing w for too long after jumping from window and not strafing properly. make sure you dont press w and move your mouse gently towards right while pressing "D" goodluck :)
No here I am using no binds. I have two jump binds. a normal jump bind for mwheelup and a duck jump bind for space. I dont use lj perf binds as they are exclusively for movement and not really very important for gameplay.

When you are always getting flashed while jumping up try turning around midair(no movement keys) to dodge the early mid flashes and get a crouchjumpbind to make the jump easier.

Don't know, what I am doing wrong. I am just too stupid for this game. Tried it several hours, got land the jump only three times. Most of the time it just seems, I hit the corner on the spot I am suppose to land on and just bounce off the wall and fall down.
on 4:05 I keep hearing "to reach higher velocity" and "to retire velocity" over and over again lol. am I the only one, when you rewatch that moment, you hear 2 different phrases?
trying it 1 hour, after good concetration make first jump from window to cut in 15 minutes. and then after 1 hour make one more/ result after 1 h 15 m brainfucking i make 2 succesfull jumps. still not understand how to jump; what the secret? perfect timing? i think it's not worth it
its way simpler now. The issue is learning something new is always difficult. Treat it like an easy jump and practice 10 mins focused for a week. The key word is focused practice :)
Man things like this is what make CS a sweaty game , how can you win against sweats who have time to go do crap like this all day. No offense to you . They should just make the jump easier. Obviously the map designers did not intend for this
Well, IDK what to tell you, man. The whole idea behind CS is that ppl who put in more time should be better than those who put in less time. And they could make the jump easier just so everyone can do it, but that's a slippery slope. Should we also get rid of recoil patterns and just make the recoil go straight up just so everyone could aim? Should weapons be accurate while moving? After all, counter-strafing is hard for new players. Doing all of that would make the game easier for new players, but CS was never about catering to non-gamers. CS isn't a game about getting kills or planting bombs or whatever; it's about getting better and seeing yourself improve. Also, most people do have time for CS. Those who say otherwise are either working 12 hours shifts, or they don't like the game enough to commit.

why should valve make the game easier? Movement is such a big part of what makes CS special. Go play COD if this is too much for you. There is a concept of little and often. Most people didn't learn counter strike movement through practicing jumps like this all day every day, they acquired the skills seen over thousands of hours across years, even decades. And its not like the ability (or lack thereof) to hit this jump hurts new players, its effectiveness is pretty much limited to rotate timings and plays based off your spawn which 90% of the player base probably don't understand or care about anyway.

I have updated the description. Try again. Make sure your sv_cheats is set to 1. Also make sure you are pressing mous4 and not mouse5 cheers :)
