Hey! We’re almost at 30k subs - please subscribe!:) a few notes about the video: 1. My ratings are based on a balance between difficulty and usefulness. I wanted to make a skill jumps video for the average player- not players with a ton of free time for practicing jumps. I am by no means an expert on skill jumps, and I do not particularly love grinding difficult jumps. My goal for these rankings are to prioritize skill jumps for players who are wanting to know what is truly useful and practical in competitive games! 2. I wanted to include skill jumps that can be accomplished alone (no run boosts), and no silent drops that do not include a jump. I also did not want to include anything that would likely be patched (S+direction silent drop exploit). 3. Thanks for reading this!:)
The ancient jump is super useful if somebody on your team knows the instant elbow smoke, it'll land before they can see you. You get to peek people on cat like a full 2 seconds before somebody pushing cave would be able to, which is a super good pick for AWPers to go for. That mirage self boost is inconsistent because of subtick, jump height is inconsistent now
Actually the Mirage A self boost is pretty consistent. The trick is to run into it, when you run + jump + crouch onto it you're pretty much gonna land it every time. Crouch jump bind makes this ez.
Mr Wilson... for the van jump at 3:30, you dont need to bhop anymore on the bumper. You can hold a/w and run on it then strafe to the right to land on the balcony. A+ video.
2:31 if you hold crouch a bit before you jump, you can make it on top of the box 100% of the time. you can do this with other tall objects that you shouldn't be able to jump on like the wall next to b stairs on vertigo, or the spools in connector on overpass (5:48)
5:45 u can surf on the top of the ledge above the pipe using w+a+shift and u will go over the pipe without being seen. pretty easy to do once u learn it. Sometimes inconsistent but more practice the better.
2:38 In case nobody told you for the Firebox jump already: Crouch first, then jump a couple of milliseconds later. That's called a Crouchjump and is how you should do it.
Many of these I didnt consider in my 2200 hrs, like the sandbags on overpass and the selfboost on nuke garagea since I tend to play ramp mostly, def gonna play around with them this week. Subscribed!
For mirage B site, being able to jump out of the window strafing properly or landing in the window and jumping out over jail's line of fire is very useful.
The early palace peek for CT side is so powerful, it gets me kills almost every round I try it because people don’t expect someone to be peeking the door already, and sometimes if they are slow you can push into palace and walk on the left side, nobody ever places their crosshair there as they’re never expecting someone sitting in the corner like a rat
for the jump from second orange to new box, after messing around with it for a bunch of time you should shift jump from 1st orange to 2nd orange (letting go of shift right after pressing space) this makes it much easier to jump from 2nd orange at 250velo. much love
the triple box jump on mirage requires a bit of alignment now to make it consistent had to figure it out after that i stopped having problems nailing the jump
The jump to tripple can be done consistently if you get stuck on another spot. You have to go out and get stuck a little to the left of where you went. There are two spots where you get stuck. One will give consistent tripple jumps while the one you did will not.
you're right about the jump on triple in mirage. it WAS consistent when cs2 first launched (and in csgo obviously) but they patched it to remove the jump completely (i think by mistake) and then changed it back to make it possible again, but somehow they messed it up so now its not consistent. You can look at the same spot and even use a macro to get the exact same timing every single time and you will make the jump maybe 3 out of 10 times. I hate it.
5:57 you can walk up and crouch jump on it, no need to do it from that far in conn. Also mirage box just look higher up and you'll make it 100% of the time
First skill jump on ancient is really nice dude. U almost always play as two mid. Your mate Molly smoke nades mid to give u space for jump and run direct heaven to contest enemy’s in front of b. Hellzerg does this often and it’s really strong
2:31 Mirage Triple self-boost. At the time of this comment, it is completely consistent. Same as CSGO, though the camera seems to move smoother. Maybe something changed since you filmed the video.
Mirage Triple jump, it looks like you jump first and then crouch in the air. Holding down crouch an jumping while you are moving downwards actually lets you jump even higher thus making the jump more consistent :)
Crouch before jumping. Not jump then crouch for that firebox jump. It's 100% consistent but it feels weird - but all Valve games actually give you more height if you crouch BEFORE jumping. Though still time both inputs almost one after the other, ofc.
The Mirage A Site Triple Box jump is weird in CS2, I've found that if you take a ministep backward and then hold W + crouch jump, it lands pretty consistently. Not sure how or why this works, but this might work in other places too.
i would like to see opinions about the palace fastest path and my own path i usually use... For some context, the t's always get into palace faster than the best spawn from ct side for A, this makes them able to hear all the jumps and steps ct's make while they're getting into palace, allowing the t player to expect the engagement right away... at least from my experience. What i do, is start walking at the edge of under palace (under-balcony or shadow) right before the ladder, from my perspective, it gives you the control over the engagement, allowing you to decide between swinging to catch him out of guard, or wait for him, because in this instance the T has to actually look out for the fight clearing all the possible angles you could be instead of waiting for you to come out as it would happen on the scenario given above. For me this works better at least on the level i usually play, wich is not high but not low either, i don't know about higher ranks, that's why i would like to see different opinions.
I've been trying to figure out a skill jump for ct inferno to fast push halls from spawn. Like I'll run through site hop on the the barrel at the default plant location, hop over to the truck(formerly cart), but my landing on the truck always slows me down.
Great video idea. The van jump is kinda over rated, but that jump onto the window ledge is literal S tier in my nova/mg games, if combined with the van jump. I think the window ledge does more for me than the van jump, but I'm not much of a B player.
Window to Stone on Mirage is def A or B tier since you get a nice angle on top of Stone to hold deep mid, conn, and bottom mid, and don't risk falling out of window
Overpass T con ladder silent/ no damage jump is a must know skill for any T player above level 4. IMO should be s tier. Also missed fast Inferno T apps stairs jump, although it's B tier.
Bro, im brazilian so I dont know exactly the name of the box on mirage A site that you said is inconsistent to jump on, so, the right way to do it is using the crouch jump mechanic, there is also a bind that you can do but is very easy, literally just crouch and instantly jump, in my case is just ctrl+mwheel, this is the right way to do not just this jump but into the other A site box on mirage, we in brazil call it "newba box", is the same mechanic, just crouch jump and you will get into it every time. This technique can also be used on window to cat jump to make it more easily. I think it would make your video much more interesting cause I see a lot of people that Just dont know that the crouch jump exists in cs2.
Check out the input overlay that’s on the bottom left of the screen for these jumps- i crouch jump for almost every jump! With the triple jump, I tried crouching slightly before jumping, crouching at the exact same time as jumping, and crouching after jumping. All three were inconsistent for me unfortunately
5:28 @WilsonCS2 Does this make noise? Because as a T post-bomb plant you could run Sandbags and quickly rotate monster with minimal noise. This benefits you if a CT sees you retreating to sandbags from Heaven.
Loved your content man, i tried learning the jumps and applied to my games! i also wanted to ask that which software you use to record CS2? i tried nvidia geforce experience and wasnt happy with the results. It will be extremely helpful if you let me know the recording software and the bit-rate you use to record your gameplay. I have a rtx 4060 so i wont have issues recording at a higher bit-rate. thanks!
Thanks very much man, that’s awesome! I use OBS. A lot of people talk about how it’s difficult, but with a couple tutorial videos it’s really easy to get used to. I use 50,000 bitrate for recording and 9,000 for streams.
I just would like some of the jumps onto things to be a little easier. Some things just feel taller on mirage (the boxes on a) and is more inconsistent. Then again… I’m bad and just struggle with most of the jumps 😂
I don't know if it's considered a skill jump, maybe more of a movement technique, but runboosting off a teammates head to get a quicker peek on some maps is becoming more common imo.
4:22 if u land on the surf and press d when u surf it up can it an edgebug and take no damage, much cooler 5:57 u can just crouch jump on top of the barrel
Thanks Jon! You can make your own here: tiermaker.com/create/duanbcuiska-16716610, but unfortunately I don't have a saved version of my final list aside from what is in the video
if you want to do skill jumps, you might want to use a proper jump for more range :P just running W and the half-assing the strafe midair will, of course, make the jumps a lot harder :D.
Hey i’m new to CS in general just picking it up with CS2 so first want to say thank you for the videos, very informative for a new player. this makes me have a question though, at 2:26 you say the window to cinderblock/ladder room jump isn’t as useful but in my opinion that jump would be very useful to rotate quicker, could someone maybe shed some light on a noobs mentality? grazie mille
Definitely useful as a rotator- in my opinion the window to cat jump does what the conderblock jump does and more. Allows you to quick rotate + make aggro play. But there’s definitely and argument that if the T’s have short/cat control on a rotate, then the cinder block jump would be a safer option than the cat jump
hey, was just wondering why rank mirage palace to tetris an F for it being difficult? isnt it worth it to practice it for that little edge of advantage? also isnt that the point of a skill jump? that it requires skill? Edit1: also at 2:37 it might be inconsistent because youre jumping and then crouching, try crouching and then instantly jump Edit2: 3:13 E Edit3: 4:16 you can still do that drop with an edgebug like u could do in csgo, you just have to press D for half a second when youre on the surf Edit4: 5:39 you can crouch jump on top of that barrel
There's some skill jumps you missed. And most of them are completely reasonable to ignore because of how useless or how god damn hard they are. Example: Nuke: Silo to Red Box. Yes its possible. Yes its fucking ridiculously hard to pull off. But it can be done. Another: Nuke A site jump from site on top of the blue box. (Was) one of the hardest jumps in CSGO 64 tick. Vertigo: Jump across A ramp from crane. Possible but difficult as it requires a decent JumpBug and some good strafes Dust2: you can JumpBug across Pit. Again. Zero practicality and next to impossible to pull off in general, let alone mid match. Now, if we add in the bug that lets you get 70 units of height on jumps by messing with fpsmax, we get a TON more skilljumps but im not gonna explain all like 25+ of those
surfing on the thing outside of mini negates momentum, making it so you can't take any fall damage. note that you are REQUIRED to strafe into it to negate momentum, as just hitting it on the way down will still make you take damage.
You'd be surprised how many low tier skill jumps are game changers in silver/4k~ elo Mostly because even smurfs don't usually expect to see people doing these at these ranks. In fact you'll probably get picked doing these from clueless boosted noobs who got lost and accidentally flanked you. Which is fair.
@CycloidalHeadacheBrother its fucking competitive cs. If you que premier,mm or faceit you are expected to try to win. Comp has always been about winning
To the last two replies, there is a middle ground, yknow. Trying to win, but still trying to have fun. It’s a thing and it’s what I strive for. Also yes, it is a skill issue since some of these jumps are fairly straight forward after some practice.
Not really, how useful something is, depends on the time needed to develop the skill, if it takes tonnes of hours to learn then it needs to be more useful to justify it, because otherwise you could be doing prefire or deathmatch and be more useful

what this video taught me is that even level 10 players BADLY need to practice movement, or even do a movement gamemode as warmup
@@jojivlogs_4255 if you wanna practise movement before game make sure its vanilla kz not kzt cause kzt will mess up your sync in vanilla
for the triple jump on mirage, use a crouch jump bind

literally just watched iM do that in Navi vs Spirit lol
Actually the Mirage A self boost is pretty consistent. The trick is to run into it, when you run + jump + crouch onto it you're pretty much gonna land it every time. Crouch jump bind makes this ez.
I think the timing on crouch jumps has changed slightly. Youll need to delay jumping after crouching ever so slightly now.
it's very risky, the t will kill you if he peeks mid
Mr Wilson... for the van jump at 3:30, you dont need to bhop anymore on the bumper. You can hold a/w and run on it then strafe to the right to land on the balcony. A+ video.
The jump at 5:52 got an "update" you just stick to it and crouch-jump, to get easily on top of that
2:31 if you hold crouch a bit before you jump, you can make it on top of the box 100% of the time. you can do this with other tall objects that you shouldn't be able to jump on like the wall next to b stairs on vertigo, or the spools in connector on overpass (5:48)

Hey! I found that out :D
Unfortunately it got patched.
I started this video thinking "skill jump" as in big leap of increasing skill... 🧠
2:38 In case nobody told you for the Firebox jump already: Crouch first, then jump a couple of milliseconds later. That's called a Crouchjump and is how you should do it.

you should shift jump from 1st orange to 2nd orange (letting go of shift right after pressing space)
this makes it much easier to jump from 2nd orange at 250velo. much love
For the jump onto the box on A-site, jump then crouch (Slightly delayed) becomes more consistent to hit
Half these jumps are 100x easier if you use the long jump bind most Kz players use. Idk how this isn’t a known fact by now
the triple box jump on mirage requires a bit of alignment now to make it consistent
had to figure it out
after that i stopped having problems nailing the jump
The jump to tripple can be done consistently if you get stuck on another spot. You have to go out and get stuck a little to the left of where you went. There are two spots where you get stuck. One will give consistent tripple jumps while the one you did will not.

this video is unintentionally funny

You can do the Overpass connector pipe boost without a strafe jump. You can do it just with a crouch jump-ish and you can get it consistent.
Mirage jump from cat to window is super useful in clutches and doing it by bhoppin onto the railing to do it quickly
2:31 Mirage Triple self-boost. At the time of this comment, it is completely consistent. Same as CSGO, though the camera seems to move smoother. Maybe something changed since you filmed the video.
Mirage Triple jump, it looks like you jump first and then crouch in the air. Holding down crouch an jumping while you are moving downwards actually lets you jump even higher thus making the jump more consistent :)
wow alot of useful ones i didnt even know existed as a relatively low elo player, very helpful.
Glad I could help man!:)
4:12 there is also an edgebug lineup that you can learn which both negates fall damage and drop noise
whats the lineup? ive just been doing it

5:52 there's an easier way to get up there, can just crouch-jump from up close (but it's janky til you find the right little seam to hop on to)
2:32 You can make this jump more consistent by holding “a” and “w” while jumping and anyway, I enjoyed your vid
I've been trying to figure out a skill jump for ct inferno to fast push halls from spawn. Like I'll run through site hop on the the barrel at the default plant location, hop over to the truck(formerly cart), but my landing on the truck always slows me down.

What a bangin tierlist, great video as always, and I'm happy I shared an Anubis jump for you :)

There's some skill jumps you missed. And most of them are completely reasonable to ignore because of how useless or how god damn hard they are.

@2:38 yeah there a lot off clipping ive noticed on jumps
Triple jump on fire box is easy, u just need to press ctrl before space
Ancient jump is good but you need to smoke or molly elbow
just what i needed :0
How can I bind jump+duck? Is it legal to use it?
W Wilson as always.
Wilson your brain is just too big man
you need LJ bind for palace to tetris
4:12 how did you not edgebug off the curb and still not take any fall damage?
surfing on the thing outside of mini negates momentum, making it so you can't take any fall damage. note that you are REQUIRED to strafe into it to negate momentum, as just hitting it on the way down will still make you take damage.
You forgot about mirage ninja box jump on a site.
Fast ladder movement on vertigo, down and up the ladder, same with Nuke, those aren't really specific tho.
You'd be surprised how many low tier skill jumps are game changers in silver/4k~ elo
Mostly because even smurfs don't usually expect to see people doing these at these ranks.
In fact you'll probably get picked doing these from clueless boosted noobs who got lost and accidentally flanked you.
Which is fair.
common willson banger
5:49 just stand infront of the barrel and jump up?
