I bought a Q95 a couple of years back. Loved it! Then after a few months, about 10 seconds after being turned on, the brightness would dip. The TV used to get quite warm but after this, it was always cool to the touch. Had a Samsung engineer round who reluctantly took the the TV to their service center only to be told it had no fault. Have lived with it ever since as in a dark room, it still looks good. Now it all makes sense....
One of the biggest issues we have with Samsung TVs in the UK is that they keep turning themselves off after a while and tends to be mainly with qled TVs.
When I watch content on my LG C2 and my Samsung S95C back to back, the LG looks like garbage. I'm not saying the C2 is garbage, but it just pales in comparison. And even compared to LGs of the G series, the S95C still looks way better.
I have a Samsung QN95A, it's the European Miniled flagship from 2021, it didn't come out in the US I think. After 2 years I have notice that on average Samsung releases one good update during the winter time, and one bad update were something will indeed be downgraded during the Spring/Summer time. I guess that maybe the Spring bad one is to promote their newly released models of that year.
Iv been reading on Reddit people saying that the Samsung S95C, or any of the Samsung that uses the one connect box or slim connect box, have signal dropout during gaming or high frame rates 120fps 144fps ? S95c with one connect box is known for hdmi "dropout". ? Any comment or feedback on this Samsung issue ?
I agree with you 100% ! No no no… I agree with you 1000% !!! I really hope that Samsung is going to pay a day for what they did to our EXPENSIVES TVs… When I bought my S95B I was so happy !!! My wife and daughters too. But today even her can see the differences… that’s a big shame and a big L for Samsung !!! They stole us a part of the S95B we bought and paid them 2339€ here in France… this feels so unfair and unacceptable. I already called Samsung many times, with respect for sure ! But they don’t care at all ! Even solutions I found for issues I already told them 7 months ago… they fixed nothing with 1520, and nothing with 1602 too… but they didn’t forget to nerf and downgrade SDR brightness, HDR brightness, HDR HGiG, etc etc of course !! With 1520 I was like : maybe that’s just me being paranoid, maybe it’s just a mistake and they are going to fix everything with 1602 ! When I saw 1602 firmware on my S95B I realized that what I was thinking was f**** true unfortunately… !!! And today we all realize the heist they did to our TVs… sorry for my English 🙏
I might add the customer service experience with Samsung was sub par at best as well. Granted I’m supposed to be receiving a new hwq990b sound bar after receiving it back damaged. It was a damn headache and took way too long.

@@chrome3720how’s the local dimming and or blooming control on the latest firmware? I have a 65 inch QN90B and keep if fully offline with day one firmware. Basically a monitor/display and use an Apple 4k and ps5 for my needs.
Right on point. I have no idea if the firmware I have from date of purchase is good, or bad or worse, as I don't have a day 1 set to compare it to. To me, it looks great, but there is no way for me to really know if they had already nerfed it by my the time I was able to purchase one. Based on Samsungs history, it is most likely they did. Not much I can do either way. I am sure not spending 2k on whatever they drop this year or next year. It sure is weird that the tvs when they drop are the greatest thing since slice bread but require a million updates after the fact. You are right Q, it's a scam, and their should be meaningful legal recourse for the consumers.
Very good points there Quantum TV. I'm confused as to how each new model is 10 or 15% brighter than the one before. So after 5 new releases its 50% brighter, How? The sub pixals are the same size. Are they being over driven at unsustainable levels then wound back at the first update?
I will never buy another Samsung ever again, they nerfed gen 1 S95B and fear they will continue to do the same. My family had 3 large LED Samsung's same model all go out in beginning of 4th year, all panels went bad. It was tempting to get the 77" BB edition S89C QD OLED for $1799. but wouldn't pull the trigger on Samsung.

I had been watching an old 55" 6 series Samsung for the past 6 years or so. I've been looking to upgrade in size but my main problem with the TV is the processor got really slow. It would disconnect from wifi after being turned off for a while at random and I would have to push the menu button up to four or five times to bring up the apps. This past Black Friday I was finally ready for a new purchase and went with a 75" Sony X90L. The main reason why I jumped ship from Samsung and went to Sony over all other brands is reliability. I bought three S95B's in 2022. I had liked it that much. I replaced all my televisions. I recently called Samsung support to complain about the recent 1602 update. The Samsung tech called himself adjusting the picture for me remotely. Basically all he did was bump up the color and sharpness. The the tv now looks over saturated and doesn't have the highlights and sparkle it originally had when I first purchased it. I too had turned off the auto update options but found the tv had updated. So how do we fix it? Is there a way to go into the service menu and return those values that were lost?
Yes u can restore the brightness by adjusting several settings in the service menu. The best tutorial for that is here on youtube. The last time I felt this level of hdr impact with the current settings was the 1211 firmware. I bought the s95b the day it came out
