Thank you! You solved the doubt I had regarding using outer sleeves or classic sleeves for yugioh sleeves with a design, this at min 10. Excellent video, it was exactly the doubt I had. Suscribed.
Somehow, my phone heard me, and here you are 😂. Just saved me on getting the wrong sleeves. Japanese size Dragon shield art inner sleeve and outer is what i will be going with from now on.
9:13 Thanks so much for doing a demonstration of this. I specifically own some OCG sleeves and I heard so much conflicting information on this and you've reassured me that my purchase of the standard sleeves were the right pick over the japanese outer sleeves. So many people said they fit TCG sleeves but didn't in the first batch, but then heard some people say that OCG sleeves are slightly bigger than TCG sleeves which I could also not find consistent information on. This has answered my question once and for all, great video mate!
I use Kmc hyper matte blue as inner and ds Japanese outer just because Kmc are a tad bit wider and taller than ds and fills the outer sleeve more and also Kmc are a bit thinner than ds and keeps the deck shorter and doesn’t feel like holding a brick as a deck
Been waiting for a video like this since ‘Nam. Thanks man! I use KMC white on my swordsoul and have been outer sleeving with the standard clear outer. But it made my deck feel clumsy and giant 😩. Gonna try these out
Is it true that the new dragon shield Japanese sized outer sleeves are different dimensions than the first batches and will fit the Konami sleeves now?
@@cleankaibaandthegentlemen1695 awesome, so do you recommend this over the standard outer sleeves? Also how can I tell it’s the newer fixed Japanese size outer sleeves compared to the snug older ones?
Do you prefer the using the Japanese Dragon Shield Sleeve with an Outer Sleeve than the Inner Sleeve with the Japanese Dragon Outer sleeve combo other seems to use? Curious to know your thoughts as I’m trying to figure out what I should go with.
I prefer using outer sleeves over inner sleeves because inner sleeves seem to ride up on the card leaving the card partially uncovered by the inner sleeve.
It's getting rather difficult to decide whether to run Japanese outers in the main deck or not. I think they're great for the extra deck but man shuffling can be a chore. I like the protection but do you just deal with the bulk? Matte Petrol Dragon Shields for life.
I’ve been shuffling double sleeved decks for a while now and it prefer over single sleeve shuffling, unless it’s like a 60 card deck then single sleeve is still the way to go. What’d you mean by deal with the bulk?
@@cleankaibaandthegentlemen1695 I've been thinking about your comment and decided to dedicate some time to adapting to playing with japanese outer sleeves; it feels normal now that I've been play testing all day long. What I meant by bulk is that it felt like my deck doubled in size but it's okay now, just kept compressing the deck every few minutes.
It’s a very tight fit. It’s doable but I wouldn’t advise it because it gets very “bubbly” with air pockets. The Konami sleeves are just too big and loose.
a shot in the dark here since this is an older video, but i’m currently using ultra pro japanese standard sleeves in just basic colors (white, black, etc.). would you recommend going with dragon shield inner sleeves or standard clear sleeves? thank you!
Ultra pros are a pretty snug fit. I wouldn’t recommend inner sleeves with them. Deff try going for Japanese outer sleeves or standard sleeves for oversleeving.
Price wise not worth it either , now there is something you should know . On the very first wave of the outers they were much smaller than the current one . They had to make them wider because they had many complains regarding Konami art sleeves being too big for the outer . So once they sold out , on the second wave they made them wider which at this point they are extremely close to being standard which is why since then for me they aren’t worth it . I bought like 5-6 packs of the first wave so was a big punch in the face once they made the change as I had ti change everything. Until I tried standard compared all 3 and stayed with standards
Hi! I start to play 3 months ago , I have art sleeves that now need an outer sleeves. I try the clear standard size and…. I hate it! Make a 40 cards deck look like 60 cards. I search on google and I find this product , but there isn’t in my country so I need to buy it on internet. But u say that the difference now is very small between this 2 product. Do u have any advice? The felling is thick as the standard size? Or are much more thin? It dosnkt matter if they are similare in width and length , the important for me is if they are much more thinner. Hope u can help me.
@@mangasenpai4289 they are pretty much the same , as both are clear matte did you want to double sleeve without making your deck tooo thick you other options is inner sleeves
just to let you and everybody know, if you're playing in OCG area, it is obligated to use konami official sleeves. So a solid colored sleeve or even dragon shield art sleeves is never an option for us. Dragon Shield Clear Matte here really solves the problem for double sleeving here. For cheaper option, we just need to buy a clear standard sleeves that fits pokemon/magic cards. But yea for everyone who wants quality and longetivity, DS Clear Matte is a solid pick. I play lots of Pokemon and Magic and some of my Dragon Shield Mattes could last months for competitive play. For casuals, I play Commander and I have DS Mattes that already lasted more than 2years without any splits.
So all the DS Japanese sized outer sleeves on shelves these days should fit the Konami sleeves? Also can you show me where they responded and said they changed the sizing of them? I can’t find anything on that.
@@johnflounder9778 so yeah theyre all the same size as of now, BUT, if you see them from the side youll notice different shine from different packs, they still have a long way to go to get it perfect, but for now the size is good.
Outer sleeves will fit tighter and nicer. There is less room for dust and such to get in. The standard will still work fine though and some normal sleeves are too big for the outer sleeves to cover.
