Rana Safvi is a historian, translator and author. A firm believer in India's Ganga Jamuni Tehzeeb, she has translated several seminal historical works such as 'Dastan-e-Ghadar' and "Begumat Ke Aansoo".

25:32 Meditation and Namaaz are not the same things. Meditation is about realisation, to connect with roots of nature, to empty yourself completely from all that is man made, to forget even a single word that man has created, to feel and realise.
Let me give you a brief explanation my brother what namaz is? read it mindfully!
The Salah (namaz) is the second pillar after Shahada - Ashadu an la ilaha illa illa-ilah, wa ashadu anna muhammadan rasul ullah meaning, “there is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah”.
The word salah (in Arabic: صلاة) is used by Muslims across the globe and refers to the daily prayer. But prayer is also said by Arabic words “dua” and “dhikr” both meaning prayer. The actual meaning of the word in Salah or Salat in Arabic means connection, contact, or communication.
It is referring to establishing a connection with the creator, Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala. By praying Salah you are seeking nearness to Allah and are nurturing that relationship through worship. Allah has made prayer mandatory for all Muslims for many reason.
1. As a mean of self-purification.
2. Spirituality
3. To spend time in remembrance of him (i.e. to prevent you from wrongdoing).
4. Source of strength and patience.
5. For bringing peace and tranquility to your life.
6. Distinguishing between a believer and a non-believer (kafir).
7. As a mean for erasing your sins and seeking forgiveness.
8. Developing good character and discipline.

Ofcourse it's your belief do what you want to, but it's a fact that it divides you and others. Mediation is about connecting to soil where you born . Realising god is within everything. Mediation works as the field where one asks the question "why". It's a realm where faith has no place but realisation. That's why i said Namaz cannot be compared with meditation because the purposes itself is very different.

1. Moinddin Chisti did come with the Ghurid army, Ghori to be specific. He aids in his campaigns against Prithviraj Chauhan.
2. Hindus started worshipping at his shrine much later during waves of deislamising and gentrification due to the fall of Muslim empires. Prithviraj Raso is definitely wrong but so are the Turkic sources from which Hindus worshipping him are conjured up. Fun fact the same texts mention Jai Chand, Prithviraj's general being in possession of 700 dragons which Chisti drives away with a magical barrier.
3. The graves of
Babur: Taken to Afghanistan, intact till today.
Shah Jahan: catacombs of Taj Mahal
Akbar: Near Delhi but destroyed and defiled by the Jat army.
Aurangzeb: Khuldabad, MH. Survived multiple attempts of destruction. Restored by ASI.
@@ad8331 Sufi history is complex but the majority of them were not good by the standards of those days and today. There are some Sufis who were sanitized, some who were non discriminatory but were bullied by the Ullema into taking several anti Hindu/Buddhist/Jain practices.
Please pick up the historical documents of any Sufi place and read the original sources. It's horrendous. I have a second cousin in Pune whose family were ardent followers of a mazar in North Karnataka l. The person learned Turkic and Persian to understand his spiritual master better. He wanted to create a website to promote tourism. In the course of five years of reading the original sources, he turned kattar Hindu. He returned from US and has started working for Hindutva organisations.
This negationism is what causes a majority of Hindus to be suspicious of Muslims. When Hindus can be critical of their own religious practices and community leaders, it's disappointing to see Muslims not do the same. This effort should have come from within, decades ago.

My only Criticism is this, when she talks about people of God, she is referring to all humans and animals or just people who follow that particular thing because Islam makes it very clear who is and is not people of God, believer and non believers. I live in Delhi, so here are so many remnants of Sufi culture.
Moreover Indo-Islamic monuments, philosophical ideas, architecture,language,music,culture have imprints of Sufism (wrapped in Persianized form)

let me tell you that Aurangzeb was a sufi too. He followed every tenet of sufism. The amount of hatred written in these sufi text for others, is something you cant even imagine. Dont believe me , read yourself. Or you should do a podcast with IAS Officer (Retd.) Sanjay Dixit on the topic of sufi, he will tell you the reality of sufi with facts & quoting from their own books & atrocities they have done on hindus.
Their religious books openly talks about hatred towards polytheists/idolaters like us hindus, killing us, destroying our temple, raping our women etc.Just for the reason that we are following our faith. And these things are literally written in is-lamic books like qu-ran, hadiths, fatawa e alamgiri etc. Dont believe me, read yourself. Bs itna kahunga ki pairo ke neeche se zameen khisak jayegi & these people believe in these things. Or you can read a book called - Understanding Mohmad by Ali Sina. Lol, for Muzzlim the sufis maybe saints like Burham wani was a hero, but as per the lived experiences of Hindus, the sufis were simply conversion specialist and competitors to the Hindu gods and culture.
