Music has never made me feel this way... I have no idea what's happening in my brain... this reminds me of when I was 11 years old and discovered metal for the first time and couldn't process it

And I jsut love how raw he is in this song, just screaming at the top of his/my lungs about being in an 8 high abandoned building is just such good fuel for emotion and imagery. 'get me inside ill do the rest'
All jokes aside, this song is probably one of the most frightening things death grips ever did. It's also one of the songs that, along with "I've Seen Footage" and "Say Hey Kid", imply that Stefan's "MC Ride" persona is based off of actual traumas that he experienced. I can't even imagine how emotionally taxing this must have been for him to record, especially considering how his voice starts audibly cracking at 1:44, and the way he screams the title afterward.
bjwwilcera I've always felt the same way. There's a very startling sense of controlled insanity in this song. This is the only song that I can't help but sing at max intensity every time it comes on, and sometimes I scare *myself* when I sing it. The entire song has eerily relatable lyrics, but the line "Street or nosedive to the next life in seconds, and suicide ain't my stallion... so I'm surrounded" really hit me. The only way out is to suicide, but, for whatever reason, it's just not an option, so you stay surrounded by what makes you scared and angry. This is my favorite album by *Death Grips*. The entire thing speaks of someone on the verge of some strange, unknown plateau, and being close to that plateau has given them some bizarre vision of what the truth of everything is, what the truth of *reality* is. And it's a *terrifying* truth, something more belittling than simple nihilism or solipsism or even those two concepts combined.
2:08 always gives me chills. That desperate cry is heavy, like Stefan's been pushed to the edge of reality. He's besieged, wall to wall paranoia, no escape, and jumping to his death is completely off the table. That's what his wheezing scream says to me. There's no way out, no solution, and staring hopelessness right in the eye.
Out of all the openers to their albums, this one is by far my favourite. The booming bass at the start and then Ride's insane vocals, this song is amazing.
"I'm up in Jimmy Page's castle" Some real esoteric shit. For those who don't know Page was an Aleister Crowley fanboy. So much so, he bought Crowley's old house on Loch Ness where he had attempted a year-long sex ritual from an old grimoire titled The Book of Abramelin

I then smeared the blood all over my face while looking him in the eyes with a blank stare on my face. the look on his face shifted from confusion to terror and he walked backwards for few steps and then ran away around the corner. a year or two later, I found out that man had died of an overdose. I was illegally living in an abandoned building at the time, that was constantly under siege by dope fiends trying to break in with power tools so they could steal all the copper out of the walls. i had to defend myself with bear mace and a barely functional relic shotgun. Around this time, I was the first responder to someone being shot 6 times in front of my building. i had to hold a woman i didn't know as she bled out and screamed help me over and over again, and all i could say is i dont know what to do im sorry. then dozens of cops showed up and all drew their rifles on me and screamed back the fuck up mother fucker! i do not think she survived. i got the exact same vibe.
this is the saddest, most depressing song out of all of death grips' discography. ride's tone throughout all of this sounds like he's about to cry at any moment.
very sad indeed. he sounds like he's about to kill me
and you would be like, COME UP AND GET ME@@stfndiedhere
the intro and build up to ride’s vocals in this song is just too good
Going to a Death Grips show and this being the opener was one hell of an experience
The vocal performance from 1:55 to 2:10 is fucking beautiful! I love how he cracks down the shouts
Best opener to their best album.
true
Their most overlooked albums imo
This is the album that got me into the band. One of my fave albums
This is my favorite DG track ever
This songs make me sweaty when I’m chilling.
Is anyone better at making an album intro?? The Beatles have some amazing first tracks but god damn Death Grips opens/ends their albums so perfect every time.
this song made water come out of my ear
This is one of those songs you feel compelled to put on repeat for like an hour
I wish I could have recorded my 7 1/2 hour standoff with an armed SWAT team all alone and sent it to MC Ride for the music video, bro u was actually gooning out lmaoo.
me after calling a lyft
Me after seeing a white van with "free wifi" spray-painted on the side
Better than money store
true, but money store has better album cover
My little sister makes friendship bracelets to this album
this is fr hard
This and up my sleeves most hype death grips tunes
I love reading the comments on this video. There are so many great ones, and it's amazing to see how many people have watched and enjoyed it. I especially like the funny ones. I'm thinking we should all make out! *wink wink* ha ha..
It's one of my daily hobbies actually
Dude. Having the heat exhausted homeless man scream at you over highly perfected production is fucking amazing.
Real
The censored version of the album cover is so damn aesthetic
This hits different while eating a poptart
COME UP AND GET MEEEEE
better opener than get got tbh, rivaled only by giving bad people good ideas
edit: 2 years later, this is wrong. this is the best opener but its also rivaled by get got and up my sleeves
Death Grips Is Online
the BP Tour was perfect. There wasn't one boring song for me, and they all fit perfectly. The opener was "WHATEVER I WANT FUCK WHOS WATCHING"
Beware>>>>>>
Death grips is basically schizophrenia in music form
Go bite elsewhere dude. Idiot. You go to church right? You pray, right? You believe in magic right?
That’s Japanoise
@@mood9781 💔😢
I can not make this song loud enough.
I'm epiphanic amnesia. I'm on Jeffrey Epstein's Island!
Princess Fiona to Shrek:
Everything.
off acid it felt like he was singing in my stomach, then entered into my brain, and then exploding into the sky saying “COME UP AND GET ME”
music that would kill a medieval peasant
