Excellent? I disagree. The 2nd officer should arrest the 1st for making threats with the taser. That's assault.

The first part of correcting injustices is identifying the problem or the error. The main officer corrected the young cop. I do agree a reprimand would have been appropriate but sometimes a bruised hubris is just as effective. Every rookie is going to make mistakes. I do believe their is a lack of training within police departments regarding the law. Hence why abolishing qualified immunity when the officer does injustices against constitutional infractions should be mandatory. But until departments are fully funded to provide appropriate training and accountability is measured with strict guidelines regarding officer conduct not much will change.

No, that's an older cop realizing they all got caught on camera breaking the law. He's not stopping because he disagrees with his actions, he's doing it cause he knows they're already caught. No concern for the public, barely wants to address the other officer, just concerned about being televised later.

When did he say that? Personally do you expect cops to learn Thousands of laws, Perfect to a tea, Better than a lawyer. I don’t think so sir this officer stopped as soon as he was told he was doing wrong but until then cops have a job and the call they get usually gives them the base information from there a supervisor might come but what if that guy had a gun, what if he had a knife and would’ve tried to stab the officer, so many different things that can go wrong and the officer as he looks new he could’ve handled this better but he didn’t handle it terribly!

Police is required to state when using less leathal weapon like tazer, so for instance people are not touching the target, or run front of it and take the prongs on them self. Reloading tazer takes time you dont have so it needs to hit. Also it tells suspect what is coming and they have into end of a sentence time to reconsider life choices. In this case it was not suitable use of force and cop was wrong. Thankfully fellow officers knew the law.

The senior cop was trying REALLY HARD to keep junior out of a lawsuit.
I don't think Junior realized **how close** he came to an official reprimand and a lawsuit. He stopped TWO people wearing the same neon green and carrying the same sort of sign. He chased the one that RAN. The other one never moved. If he had followed the "one in the hand is worth two on the bush" philosophy, he would have issued citations to the one that DIDN'T run. THEN he would have been "up Sh!t Creek without a paddle" and the sergeant couldn't have protected him.
