Police is required to state when using less leathal weapon like tazer, so for instance people are not touching the target, or run front of it and take the prongs on them self. Reloading tazer takes time you dont have so it needs to hit. Also it tells suspect what is coming and they have into end of a sentence time to reconsider life choices. In this case it was not suitable use of force and cop was wrong. Thankfully fellow officers knew the law.

That cop is what is wrong with the police department. He is the cop that shoots first and thinks second. Apparently he was mot trained properly.

The senior cop was trying REALLY HARD to keep junior out of a lawsuit.
I don't think Junior realized **how close** he came to an official reprimand and a lawsuit. He stopped TWO people wearing the same neon green and carrying the same sort of sign. He chased the one that RAN. The other one never moved. If he had followed the "one in the hand is worth two on the bush" philosophy, he would have issued citations to the one that DIDN'T run.
