Admin didn't even mention blood diamond😂😂😂
Rhodesia
He did
My favourite one take has to be 1917. The documentary behind making it is phenomenal.
1917 is an absolutely outstanding film but not a true 1 take. That movie would be impossible to film at a 1'er. Skip to 8:40 in this video...
th-cam.com/video/2bRZbsk_wuA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=obRYySkS9CH2wdDs
It's not a one take, it is filmed to be watched AS a one take movie
The foreigner with Jackie Chan! His acting is phenomenal. It’s like taken with a Chinese guy and a bunch of Irish.
Good fellas, Jackie brown, no country for old men, and Silverado.
Except Jackie is kinda irrelevant to the plot.
I can't wait for the leaked footage of Director Eli losing his shi+ on some sound guy, Christian Bale-style.
"Oh, good for you!"
Or the footage of him casting with the couch
@@noahhastings6145 Nah... I don't want to see that.
You have to love the craft. Watching interviews with Quentin Tarantino and listening to Eli speak is similar. The passion for the craft is paramount.
They have not seen the Outlaw Josey Wales? What the actual hell?!? I mean it was one of those movies that spawned off all the other ones that you like.
Fuck yeah buddy Outlaw Josey Wells is an iconic Eastwood movie heck his wife is in it one of his best roles! He would spit in the dog 🤣🤣🤣🤙💯
For me it is my all time favorite movie.
I was thinking about Dr Stangelove, the best line of any movie...
"Gentlemen you can't fight in here, this is the WAR ROOM"
My favorite Clint Eastwood movie is not a western and no its not Gran Torino or Dirty Harry. It is Kelly's Heroes
Another Western yall need to watch is the 1972 Western "The Cowboys", hands down, John Wayne's most underrated Western.
It's about thos aging rancher that hires a group of 12-16 year old boys to help him take his heard to market.
Crazy? I was crazy once!
They put me in a room
Wow. Codi had a lot to say this Episode. I'm surprised.
Adam Sandler as the bearjew would have been hilarious.
The Outlaw Josey Wales...how they bring you into each scene...love it.
Old Henry is one of the best new westerns!
Based
The way of the gun, True Romance, Snatch, Demolition man, and Big trouble in little china. Yeah, I am 50.
Runner-ups, Baytown outlaws, Goonies, Explorers, and Kung Pow enter the fist.
Overall, the best movie ever made is/was The Blues Brothers (1980).
A commenter of exquisite taste right here
Man on Fire. Best Denzel action movie.
An old marine here and am not sure if y’all are aware of these two…. But, , “The siege of firebase, Gloria…” possibly without “the”… and western “ Shane “….. I was stationed at Pendleton and I’ve got a little bit of “ unique info “ regarding some movies “ but can’t get into it open comms….
😂😂😂😂😂 edge of tomorrow is the best modern movie?!? I’ll admit that’s it’s a good movie but the best! Y’all wilden for that
Emily blunt does it for me man. Can't help it.
this was such a good episode. We veterans all become film critics eventually. Movies are a huge part of our lives while your in the military.
House of 1000 corpses is a great movie, especially with the behind the scenes facts like Universal Studios deciding they don't want anything to do with the movie until after it becomes popular and they stick a scare House in their park will pretending they didn't crap on the movie
The practical affects are amazing . Reminds me of THE THING
Really liked the Covenant. I was bowled over at the end, the first pic of the real terps, when the credits rolled, was a fella named Janis. He was my terp for a year and now lives in the states with his family and works for the DoD.
I would say the sound design in the movie kinda sucked though. The gunfights just sounded a bit “off” and I’m not sure why. Otherwise? Good flick.
1. Suicide Kings
2. The Usual Suspects
3. War Of The Arrows
4. Ninja Assassin
5. Seven Samurai
All Clint Eastwood movies were remakes of Kurasawa movies 📽️
Clint Eastwood wasn't in the magnificent Seven.
Can the Japanese even say the name verbal kint? Lol sorry, saw the usually suspects and couldn't help myself.
@@isaiah3127 fist full of dollars was a remake, good the bad the ugly was also. I like 7 samurai better than Yojimbo, and yojimbo is not i my top 5.
@@3-2bravo49 mush mouths 🤣
okay tf the foxhound shirt!! I NEED IT!
0:10 The knife hand never goes away. The knife hand is always present. The knife hand is foreva.
I'm a cinema projectionist. this is like crack for me
I first saw “Josie Wales” as an adult within only the last couple years. I never fully understood it and how good it was until then.
End of Watch is really good law enforcement movie. I would highly recommend it
The Magnificent Seven!!!
Original or remake?
Man directors ..... Tarantino, Rodriguez and Ritchie. The Best!
Im I'm saddened "" Unforgiven" didn't make thd list
2:35 Yooo there’s NO WAY the unsubscribe bros hit a SMii7Y reference
Y’all didn’t even mention FMJ or Hacksaw Ridge. Those are decent movies as well. However, there is no surpassing Band of Brothers or The Pacific.
I agree Hacksaw Ridge is an amazing military movie Andrew Garfield is phenominal in that roll.
A Guy Ritchie war movie would have to be centred around a zany SpecOpd unit.
Better yet have the baby on set!!😂
unforgiven best clint eastwood movie
How was LOTR not on the list of anyone?
One of my favorite movies is still Children of Men. Great action scenes.
This was the first video I noticed they had the Infinite Deku with Eri funko pop in the back there, just like I have on my desk. Rock on, guys!
Ghostbusters. Last crusade. The Crow.
Check out Land of Bad that just came out. Id love to hear your guys' take on that.
How about spaghetti westerns? Damn, I'm old i guess. Clint Eastwood is the man
Francis Ford Coppola - Apocalypse Now. If you haven't seen it it is one to put on the list. "I love the smell of napalm in the morning. " "Charlie don't surf."
Sometimes when admin talks he reminds me of 6 from a grunt’s life
Wrath of Man has to be one of my favorites. Guy Ritchie did a really good job on that one. The Covenant was really good for the story too. What did vets not like about that one?
Its not a war movie, but what about 7 years in Tibet my dudes. Such a damn good movie, sh*t load of human growth.
Tropic Thunder!!!!!
Heat
The Departed
Goodfellas
We Were Soldiers
Predator
Lost Boys, The Usual Suspects, Black Hawk Down, Tombstone, Raiders of the Lost Ark and tied with that is The Breakfast Club.
Honorable mention is Tears of the Sun.
Tears of the Sun is such an insanely underrated movie.
I feel like the algorithm recommended this to me because of the buster sword, or maybe I’ve been playing too much FF7 rebirth
Admin looked way better with the balaclava on😊
I can't believe neither of them mentioned the Cohen Brothers or no country for old men
FINALLY SOMEONE MENTIONS THE OUTLAW JOSEY WALES AND IM SO GLAD IT WAS BRANDON
Ford v Ferrari. Lee Iacocca for the win!
LORD OF THE FUCKING RINGS!!!
As someone who finished film school a few years ago I loved this so much. Love film making so wmat to make stuff again love films
It hurt my soul that they talked about westerns without mentioning Tombstone
I wonder what Eli would be like on like VFX react with corridor
I love yall guys but edge of tomorrow best modern anything is a wild take😂😂 keep up to good work tho fellas
OPENHEIMER IS THE GREATEST MOVIE IN CINEMATIC HISTORY
Sick MGS shirt
What about hacksaw ridge that is literally the closest thing to saving Private Ryan since it came out
Tombstone?
For a Netflix movie I would say siege of jaddotville
No tombstone...?
three gun tuber talking about movies, and you thought one about a corrupt sheriff outlawing carrying weapons in his town in the wild west would make the list? 😂😂😂😂
Starship troopers
I always find it kind of funny, interesting, and weird that (spoilers for anyone who hasn't seen Rogue One by now, but you've had nearly a decade and that onus is on you) out of the main "squad" that was Rogue One, only the droid didn't die by explosion. Go back and watch it. EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER except the tweaked out Death Droid of theirs get blown up.
Also Rogue One is where they basically stamped in steel that physics is their b*tch and they're going to ride it how ever they want. You all know what I mean. A ship going light speed with low fuel (which for that one movie some how exists) bifurcates a larger space craft. In Rogue One, you can shove a larger space craft with a smaller one, as long as it has a bridge that looks like it's supposed to be affixed where the bayonet goes.
As far as the ship goes, I think the issue is less about the mass of the ships (given they’re in space and pushing it into the planet’s gravity well isn’t an issue) and more about how it can generate enough force to push the star destroyer without damaging either ship in the process
Rogue One is a great film! The ONLY Star Wars film I actually like other than the original series. It's a well-written, well-acted, believable (in the world of the SW universe) film. And it made me cry at the end. I don't think there's a bit of it I would change.
I have to have the LotR trilogy on my list, as well (it still only counts as one!). No explanation necessary.
Court Jester, featuring Danny Kaye, is a hilarious movie! My family watches it at least once a year, and it's still funny! Arguably, it gets more funny the more you watch it.
Princess Bride always gets in.
Then I'd say Prince of Egypt. The only thing I'd change is actually in the song that won an Oscar (I think?), which is "When You Believe." It's too wishy-washy on faith. It makes faith seem like wishing on stars or fairy dust, instead of prayer being an appeal to a power greater than yourself. Other than that point of contention, it's a great film, with brilliant music. "The Plagues"? Muah, perfect in tone and execution. The opening song with the slaves, transitioning into Moses's mother singing a lullaby? YES. Playing with the Big Boys"? Oh yeah. the whole thing is so well done.
Honorable mention: Disney's animated Robin Hood. I've seen it so many times I can quote every line, every song, and I still enjoy it. From my early childhood, to now, when my nephew and nieces are watching and enjoying it, it's a fun film with serious points, and some great "teaching moments" to top it off :P (This, children, is what we call tyranny!) (Foxy Robin Hood has what the young people deem "Rizz." It's generally considered unacceptable for us non-animated, normal folk to walk up to someone we knew when we were younger and just propose out of the blue.) (No, you can't ship the bear and the chicken. Because biology. Look, it's not my fault they didn't make Lady Cluck a bear, as well!)
Honorable mention2: animated Mulan. Because Mushu would put dishonor on my family, not to speak of my cow, if I didn't put it on the list somewhere :P
There are other things I love to watch because they're fun, even if I know they're not great films. But the above collection are fun AND well made.
Y'all gonna leave out fury like that ? Damn lol
Changing the name of the tank from “In the Mood” to “Fury” is unforgivable
@@Aredel oh c'mon man that's not that bad considering how much Hollywood botches everything else , it was a damn good movie and it was loosely based on real people but it wasn't a historically accurate film nor did it claim to be bro
@@brandonmclaine17 I know, but the real story of War Daddy and In the Mood is so much cooler. In the Mood was the tip of the spear for the entirety of the French liberation and Market Garden. Feels like they didn’t do it justice.
@@Aredel man to be honest it's incredibly hard for Hollywood to do a comic book any kind of justice let alone a legit war hero bro , you just kinda have to take it for what it is which is a good movie that didn't get political like everything else does and portrayed a terrible occurrence of ww2 when it came to tank warfare from the American perspective but I see your point though my friend
Logan is secretly the best western
Some of my top movies are green mile, shawshank redemption and forest gump hands down
Solid choices
A Razors Edge, silverado,
My top 5 favorite movies of all time: Passion of the Christ✝️( I’m a believer in Christ and I think it’s the best depiction of what happened imo. I saw it in theaters and saw grown men openly weeping during the scourging scene, myself included). The rest of the list is in no particular order: Forrest Gump 🍤 , GoodFellas 🇮🇹 , Tombstone 🪦 , and Empire Strikes Back 🛸
Voltism assemble
Band of brothers both series
Top five not in order they're all number one.
Terminator 2
Two towers
Empire strikes back
Braveheart, even with the historical revisionism
Return of the king.
Tombstone or unforgiven are interchangeable.
Another good film is "the wall" It is a psychological thriller about a jihadi sniper fucking with the head of a US army countersniper team.
Honestly if full metal jacket isn't in your top 5 are you even American.?
VFX suck.
I've never seen any that didn't look digital, or where the shot / scene / lighting wasn't clearly intentional to making the VFX passable.
practical effects are better because it's harder to create an effect that has no obvious tells, and because everything is tangible it looks more real.
You can just always tell when things are actually there vs not.
It has allowed for much faster paced fight scenes and things like the knife fight scene in John wick chapter 3, but it tends to require dark dramatic lighting that you just know is there to allow the effects to pass, and you can tell that the various knives weren't there.
Not gonna lie, Adam Sandler starring in Inglorious Bastards would've been epic.
PLEASE make a show about McNamara's Morons - low IQ soldiers in Viet Nam.
The edge of tomorrow? I read the book before seeing the movie. The book is by far better. Same thing with dune, movie was good, book way better.
Wtf? SPR. Is the best ever. Admin sounds like he has a nasal problem.
13 hours
honestly was a little disappointed when you cut Eli’s 5 minutes of ‘tism. i’m starting out filming and editing and i’m sure he would teach great
Admin must have smoked some really good shit to think Rogue One was a good movie.
Ew rouge one. Disney is not Star Wars just some trash knock off
Booooo rogue one sucks. The only reason people like it is because of the final scene with Vader. Watch that movie and stop it before the Vader scene and ask yourself if anything that happened before that was actually entertaining. Most overrated movie of the last 10 years.
Rogue One sucked!!!
Did you like Force Awakens?
They shall not grow old is pretty realistic
The Quick and the Dead with Sam Elliott the original not the one with Sharon Stone 🤮
Rule #1 of unsub podcast is always go full acoustic
As far as westerns are concerned, I’m surprised that no one mentioned Tombstone!!🪦
