Whenever I redo one of my succulent arrangements, I hear Ms Laura in my head as I pretend to know what I'm doing..."No dirt showing"..."If your succulent stands up, you've done your job"... Detritus, Fire Rocks, Creva, Hot Mess and so many of Laura's teachings... Thank you Laura E!!! ❤

I just redid a pot yesterday. Had to throw out some ghosties. They were all shriveled up but had lots of roots. 🤷. Feels goods cleaningvup old pots. I'm fearful that I won't be able to tend to my beloved succulents due to my arthiritis. The garden brings me such great joy.

I clarify that I have only been with these plants for a month. soon they will be beautiful for the summer. Greetings from Ensenada Baja California

I've found those ghosties do well just about anywhere. Even in a small pot they take off. They are also very easy to propagate from leaf.

That "topsy-turvey hybrid" looks like cubic frost. If that is so, more sun exposure gives it amazing colors. That is so common and cheap here so we enjoy them a lot here. The aeoniums are a challenge because they flounder in tropical heat. I have to work up the courage to buy them again after I've managed to kill a couple.

Really not seeing anything wrong with that pot, they've just established themselves well. Instead of tearing it apart, I would have planted things in the gaps, or lifted the small branches over the spaces so they can fill them out. I feel not everything needs to be destroyed especially if it looks so good.
