    I like the collar. At first I thought your dress didn’t need one, but it does add a design detail. It’s a lovely fitting dress.

      it probably doesn't Karen but I had some spare fabric and I wanted to try it out to see how it looked. it's turned 2 similar dresses into 2 slightly different ones.

    Thank you so much. I was interested in the site as soon as you showed it. But I never pictured the line drawing to make such a cute dress. I am going to look the site up. I hope it accommodates more than the bust, waist and hip measurements. I have not tried fitting yet.

      Hi there. Their patterns are only a few dollars so not expensive like other pattern companies. In my opinion. It's worth a try. Test on cheap fabric so nothing lost. It never fails to please me. 👍😘

    Great tutorial - it makes so much sense and you make it look easy. I like the dress before and after but I think some of the effect of the collar is lost in the busyness of the fabric’s pattern.

    • @michoumakes
      @michoumakes  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I totally agree about the loss of style because of the pattern. it was just that that was the only dress that I had spare fabric for. if there is a next one with frills it will be more plain and have wider frills that are the same width all the way down. 😉😘

    Very nice, are you happy with it? Will you do it again for another dress? It's definitely a good look!

    • @michoumakes
      @michoumakes  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Happy with the idea. If I do make it again it would be better on a less 'loud' pattern. And I'd prefer it to be wider and the same width all the way around. So I would work on achieving that. 👍😉😘

    I’ve had a few patterns from Lekala after you mentioned them previously & found them good. I looked at sewist site & one of the designers was previously with Lekala. Do you think this site is better & has better options? Just had a quick look & think I might try something simple like a top first. Your tutorials are great & your dress with & without looks super. Thank you Micheline.❤

    • @michoumakes
      @michoumakes  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Alison
      They are both the same companies, the sewist company allows you to create your own style either through the process that I've explained or for some people to design completely themselves from start to finish. I've noticed that if someone produces a nice garment pattern then they move it across to the lekala site so you can purchase it ready to print (apart from uploading your own measurements).
      So you should get the same satisfactory result from sewist as you do from Lekala.
      Enjoy.
      😉😘👍
