It is so practical, you slide the tiny thinkcentre just in, it has a special cap, that covers the outputs & it & the screen is powered by 1 (square yellow) 90W power adapter, so if you buy both, you get a spare 65W power supply too ;) They are so fast,stable & stay so cool...

    That is really nice! Sure, you can build a Asrock A300 or some similar Mini PC for less (if you get the parts), but this tiny desktop PC seems to be quite powerful and for something out-of-the-box enough powerful for an average user.
    But now I'll have to watch a comparison between this and something with a Ryzen 2400G or 3400G since I have no idea, how fast these benchmarks numbers are. If you have the time, maybe you could blend in some numbers from you previous Mini PC builds for comparison in your next review of this kind. It would help to differentiate it from something like you J4115 build or one of these Asrock A300 just to get an idea, how much faster this tiny thing is.

    Simply amazing, so flat yet so powerful, this is like one third of a DeskMini.
    Happy you put in Street Fighter V, hopefully it'll appear more often.
    I know you briefly touched on Fan noise but I'd really appreciate a more thorough look at it especially given this ultra small form factor. I like how Optimum Tech does it in his videos by setting up a microphone and then using a mouse click for noise comparison.
    Otherwise, really loving your Ryzen APU videos, thanks a lot.

      Volume wise, deskmini is 1.92L and this one is a little over 1L, so it's almost twice the size, but I ultimately went with how much desk space the PC would use and came to the conclusion that deskmini is smaller when laid horizontally (25 square inches vs. 50)

    • @NUDELMOB
      @NUDELMOB 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@keysersoju9823 You're right, the DeskMini is smaller in length and width. I was just thinking how this small height makes it super easy to transport in a backpack or even a carry bag. So you could carry it around between two sites that have the necessary peripherals. (just fantasizing)

    So I'm guessing this would be a great mini PC to put into a virtual pinball machine to try to get at least 4K 60fps pinball gameplay? Or is that asking for too much? Maybe use this to upgrade my arcade one up virtual pinball 🤔

      Yeah, I also feel like these should have gotten cheaper by now. OEMs dragged their feet on AMD APUs and have really only made it to market now, in the middle of this PC market chaos.

      @@radry100 and drastically less performance. You miss the point. Low powered versions of these processors have been around for years. These new 6 and 8 core processors are really exciting because of the extra power.

    I just bought this computer with the R7 4750GE. I wonder if the extra compute power is limited by the power restriction. I sure hope not. I'm also curious about the possible ramifications of using a higher wattage power supply (as Neil suggests below). I probably won't get much feedback, though, since this video is a year and a half old.

Have you ever thought about doing some videos on monitors? I don't have any experience with Benq monitors but I figured yours is probably a good bang for the buck given your pragmatism. What's the model# of that monitor if you don't mind me asking?

    • @ThatOneGuySometime

      Yeah, this sounds interesting. He would have to give up the M.2 drive for a sata drive as main storage, but even a cheap GPU like a 1650ti would likely make this thing run rings around most triple A games at reasonable settings. I love the “small form factor w/e-gpu” setups. A setup like that would be ideal for the casual gamer in a tiny-home or RV/boondocking environment.

    I love the idea of something like this, the only problem is longevity. The graphics performance is fixed and can never improve, so once it's too slow it's dead basically, despite the CPU being capable of more.

    • @ThatOneGuySometime
      @ThatOneGuySometime 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not if you’re willing to sacrifice the NVME drive for a sata ssd so you can run an m.2 to pci-e adapter to make an ad-hoc E-GPU setup. Even a 1650 or a 2060 would make for a good shot in the leg for this tiny guy.

      If they’re socketed and the motherboard supports the newer CPU, you could. The trouble is cost of the standalone CPU is basically the same as just buying this whole computer as far as I can tell, in addition to the motherboard not being updated to support next generation of CPUs.

    • @timmyburden5701
      @timmyburden5701 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't see how unless you get all the parts from eBay. A graphics card alone is over 100 dollars. That being said if your looking for the bare minimum you might get an AMD motherboard and just use the built in graphics card. Should be be good enough for low settings at 1080 for newer games. Should be around 300 dollars for power supply and memory. I would think for a nice system 450 dollars would be more reasonable. That's if all the parts are on a discount. Just what I think.

      @@timmyburden5701 yeah I got a old gtx 750 ti and 12 go of ddr 4 ram inside this pc I’m currently using I figure I’d using my ram and CPI with a better pc for now but if I can get a decent motherboard with built in gpu that runs good for a decent price I might need to look into that only thing is I’ve never used Amd products before

    • @timmyburden5701
      @timmyburden5701 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@miraclechild_5027 It sounds like you have some parts that could be used in a newer motherboard. I was thinking you had outdated stuff. That will cut down on the cost a lot. 300 might be do able.

    Eh, MiniPC, standard stuff. Though I assume the Lenovo's are a touch more reliable than their HP alternatives.
    It is nice to see these sort of computers completely replace the box monsters you would see from Dell in the workplace though. And it means you'll see a healthy second hand market as they become increasingly ubiquitous. ^_^
