Push stick- Much like you, I don't use one unless it gets narrow. I have an old Craftsman table saw from the mid-70s. I always hated the fence; then I added a Biesemeyer fence. What a change. Shortly afterwards I replaced the motor. Thankfully it wasn't a direct drive saw, but belt driven. More freedom in motor selection. Oh yeah, did I mention I oiled the motor bearings right after replacing the fence. Over-oiling will do that ever time. I haven't oiled the Grizzly motor I put back on it.
I like the way you make things look perfect. I know there is a lot of experience that goes with it. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us.
I like that American Chestnut wood !! Really pretty !! WOW, Mark - you sure have a busy shop. Looks like you're doing a lot of projects !! I hope you know what project to do next !! LOL !!
Ooo 4" of rain.... That will be a muddy delight I have 8" of sloppy snow. I just scraped All but an inch off the driveway just enough to get out. That's a beautiful delightful frame you made.
excellent workmanship looks like you do cabinets also quite the shop you have my dad hada mill was a carpenter built cabinets doors windows trim in the old days i made a million ft of oak flooring still have all my fingers amasing no guards back then love you.re sawing wish you were closer i would buy some lumber
Chestnut is wonderful wood and that's a FINE job! 10/4 on redoing a miter saw. Neighbors had a compound 10 inch Makita they were tossing because it didn't cut right. I got it and reset the back fence and put a good cord on it and it's cut close enough for me ever since BUT there's no diesel involved so my presision won't go but so far. We had snow this morning but it's blowing and clearing off now and will get cold tonight. We always have rain. Happy weekend, Mark and God Bless Yall!
@@markgalicic7788 Just like politicks. They say something'll go one way and they'll pull the rug right out from under you. Globel warming, golbal cooling. 80 and then in the 20's. Yep, politickal weather all right.
Hi Mark. Beautiful wood. Yes. The red works. I never heard of this blue paper. We did " old schooled" routers. It must be a " new" product. What I don't like about this router. It's computerized. If the computer breaks down. You can't use it. Great job on the picture frame. Say Hi to Ed, ZZ, Pete, Lauren, & others. 😍😊😉👍❤️💜🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Very nice project Mark thanks for the video. Our wood shop teacher would bring pieces of chestnut in that he found in the woods and make frames out of them
Hi, Mark. I wondered if you had one of those little ‘KEYHOLE bits’ for your router. We used to use that bit on the reverse of the picture frame. It would make a neat little 2” slot to HANG your picture from. Anyway, nice video. I’m sure someone will enjoy the frame. Ted and Patti in NJ
Great Video Mark, love all the videos. I think your talking about Garrett, IDC Woodcraft. He seemingly really knows his stuff, told him you sent us :) 💯🙏
Wish I could send you a picture of the aromatic cedar fence post picture frames I make. Has live edge out. And all red and white colors match at 90° corners.
Finally got to see the CNC. When you got to that, I knew exactly what you're were doing with the touch off. I got 2 myself, a small 13x16 and a Bob's CNC 24x24. What design software do you use? VCarve desktop is what I have.
I read about a man who made picture frames for Christmas gifts. He milled all the pieces & glued them together in pairs with the plan of gluing the pairs together the next day. He discovered that he had glued all the short pieces to each other and all the long pieces together. 😞

Hi, Mark.
I wondered if you had one of those little ‘KEYHOLE bits’ for your router.

Does the American chestnut darken with ammonia like the European/Spanish/Sweet chestnut - European oak does as well.
I haven't tried that .
Wish I could send you a picture of the aromatic cedar fence post picture frames I make. Has live edge out. And all red and white colors match at 90° corners.

Tack!
Thank you!
They make non-glare acrylic for pictures.

Good evening
Good evening.
red works, especially against the chestnut background. I hope the picture brings $500.00 for Pete.
I did like the red , I sure hope it gets a high bid.
Suitable for "framing"
yes picture or house framing.
Artillery Red
it was a bright red.
Push stick ? Why bother , they're only fingers after all .
I do use one on thinner pieces.
