so in realms of fast pace action (FPV racing), we needed 60 fps, we needed better low light/bitrate bump keeping in mind size and all so within reason. It seems we need to wait for GO4 :/

Nice! Not sure I need to upgrade from the Go 2, but there's definitely some solid updates to the Go 3. Website says voice control too. Always have appreciated that on GoPros. I know it's a major challenge with heat and processing power in such a teeny camera, but if they were able to squeeze 4k out of this one, that would have been a huge, no-brainer selling point for a ton of people. Good stuff Nurk!
You should make a video talking of everything you Carry in those cases in the back I guess when you go filming

I haven't watched one of your videos for a long time. I was like - wait is that Nurk - you look great man - clearly taking care of yourself!
I just think most action cameras can pull off what this can and do it better minus one or two features even with the gopro session models if anyone still owns them, or if you are creative can put together a setup as compact as possible.
Independent of the camera, just wanted to compliment Paul on his fitness journey. Keep up the good work sir!

Great review, particularly the feature highlights and categorizing where a Go 3 will be most appreciated.
Curious Paul, when doing the side-by-side drone view with Go 3 vs. DJI O3, did you have any filter on Go 3?
Think image would have be closer if a bit darker filter (or a filter) used. Some of the trail clips on the mountain/e-bike seemed a bit over exposed as well.
(obviously is an out of box review, so not a how lot of extra effort would be put into maximizing image quality)

Nice to meet you. Bro. I don't know exactly what the video quality of the new Go 3 is, but I think a lot of things have been improved. There is no better product to use for TH-cam uploads or hobby use. It has been upgraded to compatible monitor accessories, so you can shoot yourself while shooting or watching videos. Awesome video!
I’m a full go pro user. To me. I like having a sd card to a removable battery. And the insta one you buy up for more memory. The viewer remote is good but only close to it so I see it not worth much. I’m still a go pro user. I just don’t jump on the new gimmick cameras I get all the features. But you have a app you can change anything. I’m just not a fan yet I guess
Very interested to see how they adapt this so that the battery can be swapped out from the box.
For B roll footage I think it’s a great option

Yes. I filmed a bit about that but we pulled it out to keep the video a little shorter
thanks for the review ! Do you know the maximun recording time available with flowstate mode on ? I got the go 2 and was a bit disappointed with the 5 mn recording time when flowstate was on. espacially when you kitesurf and get to the trouble to put the camera on your lines, no way to access it while you re riding. 5 mn is way to short. Is it better here when you fly it on your drone ? thanks !

The shadow detail looks better than the O3/Action2. Did you perform any color grading, or is the footage right off the camera?

How was battery life and recording time? Any issues with heat?
Go 3 has 45 minutes of recording (standalone) vs. 30 minutes for Go 2. In dock mount recording is even longer. No idea how hot it gets, but the larger case should help dissipate heat better.
😂 30 minutes! I’ve got two and two peanuts, the 30 minute claim they make is bloody FRAUD! 😅👍🤝
@@bugsy742 They stating "up to" specs, not absolute specs. 😂 Much depends on settings, configuration. (45 vs. 30 min. is a relative comparison, it suggest we'll see ~50% more recording time at similar settings)
Ugh really not liking this form of marketing where all of the creators release videos about the same product on the same day within hours

I already watched two of my subscribed channels talk about this camera and now if I want to watch your content (or the many other creators that have just posted these videos) I have to sit through the same ad and content that I’ve already watched. It’s a bit much
@@bakerfx4968that’s not the state of influencer marketing either though. That’s called a review embargo and it exists in every category of products. Vehicles, tech, you name it every company has it. Just don’t watch every video if you don’t want to
They can't release the video before the release date, so naturally they release the video as early as possible
So... How long can it record without case, does it suffer from overheating like old model...?
can you please do go2 vs go3, it looks not much different, possibly even worse image quality. Do you know if you can use the go 2 in the screen mount even though its a bit smaller and are the lenses same size ?
Insta said to me it was effectively the same in terms of image quality
*Edit I misunderstood what they said. The image quality is better but the components of the camera are very similar

My Go 2 footage is very sharp! This Go 3 footage is blury!
Bro I’m devastated! I own a insta360 go 2 and Ive been waiting for months for the go3 and this is BS. It’s no more thumb sized, it’s a thick toe sized cam. Why insta360 why? No 4K? Huge disappointment.
And its still extremely expensive! I'll stay with the one I have now that only does half what they told us it would do.

How was the data transfer speed to get it off the camera?
Not good tbh. I forgot to include that in my script.
@@NURKFPV that’s been my experience with the Go2 as well. Can this be mounted as a drive with attached to the screen to a computer to direct transfer, or is app export needed?

Hey Paul, I know you are super busy, and you kid is growing up soooo fast, they sure are fun at that age aren't they!!?? But they'll bring the grey hair out in us, that's for sure..lol. I'm sending this to everyone I know in the FPV community, and all the FPV content creators I follow, I couldn't find your email, and the twitter and instagram links you have on your website are dead links, so I hope it's ok I'm leaving this on your latest video....
Apparently Zoey (Zoey FPV) is not doing so hot, she released the attached video yesterday. I knew she was having some issues starting a year or so go, when she stop uploading FPV videos, it seems like our FPV community could step up and do something, I think her biggest hurdle is getting her RV fixed. I think she's on the West Coast, maybe California, I'm having issues with my workers comp and disability payments from the fire dept. or I'd drive out there or send her some money or something, but I'm in your neck of the woods, about an hour outside of St. Louis. I sent her a message saying if she could get here, I could put her up in a spare bedroom, it's not much, but maybe would help her not be so stressed til she gets back on her feet, but I think getting somewhere is her biggest issue right now. I don't know, I just feel so bad for the situation she's in, I mean we got thousands and thousands to show up in D.C. for a protest about the FAA rule changes, I figured we should be able to get an RV mechanic to one girls house to help her fix her only means of transportation ya know. I just thought maybe you could make some calls or use your platform to help out someone that has been, and still should be, part of our FPV community. I know you do a lot for the community as it is, and I've learned a lot from your channel over the years, and I thank you for taking the time to read this. Take care|

Urhh the framerate mismatch/judder on those drone shots really messes with me.. C'mon Insta360 atleast add 60FPS to the lower resolution options.. LOL and 32GB base model / no SD card slot on that chunky case for offloading files? They're practically forcing you to pay a premium for the 64/128gb model for a 50-60% premium over the Go2! Last I checked inflation wasn't that high.. Yeah no thanks.
