I know this is three years old but, thank you for doing a night drive. It's nice to see what all the dials and buttons look like at night. You should do a night version for every car. And the no talking was nice too. This is the one I would want, a white SEL. It seems like a great car, perfect for me to do errands in around town. Thanks.
I just ordered me one of these the 2022 In Scarlet red Pearl and I just walked by one today they’re pretty big in person I thought it would be smaller very happy but my order is going to be a while because there’s a chip shortage Thank you for the review I loved it specially the rain
It looks like a kia soul crossover lol. I don't keep up with Hyundai, but it seems like they are always coming out with a new model and keeping a fresh lineup.
Dennis Xu I think it’s defined pretty well. The Venue is subcompact for folks that want a simple crossover with the space of a hatchback but have the ride height of SUV. These buyers don’t want to spend too much money and will accept a small engine, FWD, and a CVT because they don’t drive fast and drive around the city a lot. The Kona is still subcompact but it’s a bit bigger, has AWD, much more power engine choices and transmission options. So it’s for folks who want to spend that extra money for something more robust without needing to be too unwieldy. The Tucson is even bigger and is a compact SUV and is for folks who want something that’s more capable and is more like a traditional SUV than the other 2. You’ll see the next gen Tucson in August that is even larger than the current one with more power engine choices. The Santa Fe is midsized and for people who want legit capability and space with powerful engine options. The facelifted Santa Fe will be announced in few months and may actually be bringing more powerful engine options like the recently announced Kia Sorento. And then the Palisade exists for people who want something larger than the Santa Fe and wants legit room to carry 3 rows without needing to buy a minivan. Hyundai could even get into the full sized SUV space where the Ford Expedition is but that isn’t worth it. They should be releasing a pickup truck too sometime this year or next
@@lttsr That'd be interesting if Hyundai released a pickup. The big 3 dominate in that territory and in the end, they all compete to make the best truck and end up making the same truck. I'd like to see more midsize trucks that are midsize like they were 10 years ago.
I'm not a fan of fake shifts from CVTs period, but at least they did a decent job. I wish there was a way to disable the fake shifts and get a smooth CVT experience. Like, if they think people want to hear shifts, then make drive the default mode, but give us a mode that lets it shift like a CVT was specifically designed to facilitate.
that trans and engine combo suck... should have just went with the 6 speed auto. plus it was reving way too high on the highway for any good MPG... dafuq?
Same thoughts. The whole point of a CVT is to have infinite gear ratios for maximum fuel efficiency. Faking gear shifts ruins the purpose of even having a CVT. Sadly, buyers complained all the time to automakers about how “broken” their engines sounded if there were no gear shifts, so automakers added fake shifts in response. It’s dumb, but it is what it is.
People complained. They didn’t like the way it sounded. Most people won’t wring their engines out like this so it’ll still operate like a CVT should where it doesn’t shift but instead modulate the ratios.
The Indian version of the Venue has a DCT option with a 1.0 litre turbocharged engine, it gives the same power as the international spec but with more torque (172 Nm), it gets 5.5 L per 100 km(sorry I don't follow mpg)
Is it just me or is the front end styled as badly as the pontiac aztek. Like the headlights being in the front bumper and the indicators being above it?
Very nice video... question: Hard to tell, but did you try the "snow" mode and if so, did you notice any better feel or traction in the heavy rain? I live in Florida where we often get heavy downpours and the roads hold water. Had tires spin during these conditions on non-AWD vehicles. Thanks!
Snow Mode is AWD applied to the front wheels only. These systems are only useful when accelerating from a stop or at very low speeds as they do not react quickly enough to help at cruising speeds. Proper tires and prudent speeds are the answer for safe all-weather driving.
Sure it could, but this subcompact CUV is intended for people who just want a simple car for in-city driving. It’s not meant to be exciting or a comfy highway cruiser; it’s meant to be an affordable appliance car.
That problem can be fixed by putting the car in manual mode, and upshift to lower the rpm when driving on the highway. It's the same issue with the Kia Soul, and maybe all H/K vehicles with IVTs.
For inner city driving, this car makes sense. However, as a highway commuter, its engine is too weak. If someone needs a car for both city and highway use, they should choose a vehicle more powerful than the Venue.
How can it be slow? like it's a light tiny car, no need to have more than 122hp. It's averaging 34 mpg on highways which is really decent! You're just cruising on highway it's totally fine In Europe, the average car is powered by a small diesel/petrol engine which doesn't makes more than 110hp and they just goes perfectly on highways. 122hp is considered a decent amount of power here!
I pulled up next to a Hyundai Venue in traffic a couple of days ago and was amazed that my Nissan cube is quite a bit larger than the Venue. The cube makes 122 horsepower and is heavier and less aerodynamic -- and also has a CVT. It has done a lot of highway driving for me, with zero complaints or reliability issues. Current average fuel economy is around 34 MPG.
@@themanthemyththebanger the difference is Hyundai/Kia is still experimenting with their CVTs so they're not going to be the most reliable right now...
Hey could someone answer me a quick question pls? I'm from Germany and our cars here or in general in Europe don't beep when closing the door or locking the car. Does that have a special purpose? I really like this "features"
it lets you know the car is locked or unlocked. And when you close the door, the car tells you to put the key near it, because of the Smart Key System.

What are you doing here??
I was sold with this video and went all in with a Venue. No regrets. Beautiful car, top end technology at an affordable price.

Driving while its raining is the best.
Great video...I would'nt have any engine noise inside the vehicle because I don't rev my cars above 3,000 rpm.So this is definitely the car for me.
Perfect pov with rainfall
i really like at the end you show the remote start and the keyless entry do that in every video please!
Love your videos, it's like taking a ride with you.
Ok, next stop to the store, I need a beer lol.

Especially in the bad weather
I need a small city car and this one is really calling my attention 😉
Ohh yess, rain + pov, awesome!!. Thanks for sharing 👌👌

A bit of a crowded lineup to be honest. There's this Venue, the Kona, the Tucson, Santa Fe, Palisade. Too many choices.

Interesting car but personally I prefer the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport ^^
Still pretty futuristic looking car.
i would get the outlander sport, but the transmissions are horrible in those

Thanks for the vid. Also, how did you honk the horn at 2:35 without pushing the button? 😂
Revs way too high on the highway. A regular 6 speed auto with 6th gear being the overdrive gear would have been a better choice.
This car isn't meant to drive on the highway, it's mainly for the stop-and-go traffic in the city.

I like this car but how much would it add to the cost to put some padding on the arm rest?
Genial. Hermoso auto.
Can you drive the Hyundai Palisade during the night. It looks best then
so nice man
Can you do a rainy night drive on the new hyundai i10 2020?
