    Nice review!
    Those who opted and bought this GUV won't be bother whether price of fuel goes up or down. They know it is worth the money they paid in return for it's capabilities, features and functions.
    Happy that I ditched my 2018 Toyota refrigerator 2 years ago and upgraded to Kia Carnival. More exclusive, so much better handling, solid, comfortable, and its great look is the icing on the cake.
    On the other hand the Toyota refrigerator looks so Ahbeng and out of proportion, in some ways it look very cartoon-ish. Even the latest model look so weird with it's overly placed curves here and there. Japanese designers really lack of taste.
    Kudos to Kia and even Hyundai, seeing many on the road in Europe and Australia, a testament that Japanese are loosing out

    Anybody has information. When can we expect Carnival Facelift with diesel engine? Will diesel engine available here for new minor change model?

    I love the Carnival but the length is a concern to me especially in tight parking spot. I admit that I'm not a skilful driver.

      360° cameras, rear-AEB and parking sensors make life alot easier.

    • @iamqadri
      @iamqadri 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That was my concerns too but the 360 camera really good and helpful. It is easier to drive than those Vellphards too.

    Unfortunately it doesn't sell well. Most people prefer a reconded Alphard or Vellfire.

      because of Naza Ria history😅 people still talking about that even though Carnival no longer used Petrol in Malaysia.
      plus Toyota holds value and seem more premium cause of the stoopid high insurance😂😂😂 which is stoopid of course, better carnival save money on that for something else

    • @zulfadhlizainol6678
      @zulfadhlizainol6678 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Because they want Toyota badge only. Kia badge wasn’t good enough for them. At least look more atas if you buy Toyota even though it’s a recond Alphard or Vellfire and significantly expensive without manufacturer warranty.

      Obviously the AP holder team has a stronger marketing team than Berjaya group.
      I remember one reason why Naza Kia was so successful with the Carnival/Ria and Citra sales.
      First, of course at that time Malaysians were still crazy with sedans. Even Iswara aeroback finding it hard to sell against the sedan.
      And secondly. The price. Remember the price? The fully imported Kia Carnival was priced at 160k in 1999. But the rebadge semi CKD Naza was sold at just over 100k mark.
      I know time is different now than then, but what formula Berjaya has from its sales and marketing team?
      Create a car rental company like Tan chon does, perhaps?

      @@fauzanriez9472 Kia is distributed in Malaysia by BERMAZ Auto Berhad, a publicly-listed company that is in no way affiliated with the Berjaya Group of companies. Berjaya operates their own automotive division, which has recently secured the rights to distribute a nascent Chinese brand. BERMAZ Auto distributes Mazda (after taking over the rights from Cycle & Carriage), Kia, and Xpeng, and previously distributed Peugeot.

      @@fauzanriez9472no, you do yours.
      BERMAZ management bought-out the company from Berjaya in 2016 through a special vehicle (Dynamic Milestone SB), through which Berjaya maintains a stake in BAuto smaller than that of EPF or ASB.

    And we have many Msians still stuck in the 1990s realm where they think Toyota is "atas". No wonder the country is not progressing in terms of mindset. The first world countries already moved on to other makes, and not solely looking into Japanese brands. What's worst is the poor taste of many Msians loving the grosteque looking Toyota Alphard and Vellfire. Also known as the Jinjang Joe taste van.
    Kia Carnival anytime, innovative, powerful, stable and reliable.

    Gotta admit this Kimchi Appa car looks nice…especially the korean Limousine spec for this car…but until that variant launches Imma still stick to my sushi Alphard Executive Lounge…Gotta say great review though

    It should be a best seller family MP, better than Alphard. But the brand comparison, spare parts, services, reputation etc, diesel vs petrol, Alphard will definitely sell better especially the recon ones.
    Personally, I prefer Carnival ❤

    Singapore has already gotten the latest design of Kia Carnival, but we are still stuck with this old design, shortchanging the buyers in our market! C'mon Bermaz, please do better!

      They take Malaysians for granted while charging huge margins for the vehicles that are assembled here? 😮 full imports at any other countries are cheaper 😂

      @eliclim83 ... May I ask you? What is available in Singapore now is hybrid or diesel engine or both?

    • @ericlim83
      @ericlim83 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @thanyawong Kia had a preview of Carnival Hybrid in Singapore back in early of 2024. It's the same diesel hybrid engine for Sorento. But even in Malaysia, kia have none hybrid so far.

    • @007JayP
      @007JayP 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ericlim83 nah sg doesn’t have any diesel engines from Kia anymore. The new Sorrento and Carnivals are only offered in the latest 1.6t hybrid engine. It’s a shame the Malaysian bermaz is taking Malaysians for a ride by making Malaysians pay more for a local assembled car than a fully imported and updated car with better specs anywhere else in the world.

    • @ericlim83
      @ericlim83 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @007JayP true! Malaysians are taken for a ride even with other car brands. Let's start with the colour choices, we get limited options compared to what is offered in other markets.

    As much as I love the KGC, I am more inclined to get a BEV MPV, in which the Mifa 9 is the only one offered here. So, when will MM make a review of the Mifa 9, and please also address the complaints that Maxus vehicles are expensive to maintain?

    • @MalaysianMotoring
      @MalaysianMotoring  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you've noticed there is almost no content about the MIFA 9 post-launch, not even from the biggest automotive news titles in the business. That should give you enough of an idea as to how Weststar operates their businesses.

    • @lizzam
      @lizzam 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@MalaysianMotoring agreed, especially if we compare to our neighbouring countries. Yet, topping at 299k, the Mifa 9 as an EV is not that far off from the ICE KGC.
