Am using the a30 (I’m a beginner on sketching and drawing using krita as a hobby), it’s been an absolute joy to use! I actually now regret getting a smaller Wacom a couple of years back but this one really blew my mind (edit: and I’m left handed so the left handed mode is ggrreeat)
@@hajarmagdy5133 It's cheap alright. But I am having so many issues. The custom key assignment doesn't work for more than 5 apps and gets resetted automatically. The software isn't integrated well enough, so there's a toggle btw certain options like windows ink on/off for certain functions to work. Doesn't work with multiple monitors. Most likely problem with the driver. So overall there are so many downsides to it. But otherwise, the functions work alright. It's not like It doesn't work. The pressure sensitivity and all works fine.
Actually the Buttons on the Tablett are big deal. If youre left handed all your shortcuts are made for left hand, so you have to put down your Pen in Order to use shortcuts. I usually bind things there like Ctrl+Z and other specific shortcuts depends on the Software but mostly Ctrl+Z.Try out to use Ctrl+Z with your right hand. Actually thinking even about buying extra small keyboard where i can bind all the shortcuts to use it with my right hand.
Would you recommend this tablet over the second one you have reviewed? I’m thinking of getting into sculpting (I did your wooden plank sculpt today) and doing it with a mouse is a pain in the rear. Thanks!
I would say yes just because of the price. There is very little to choose between them. the Huion is a more established brand. IFfyou want to spend a little more the xp pen is just slightly better

I had to repurchase everything in our House / Project Studio.. Purchased A Wacom Intuos Pro, use it with the SAMSUNG SUW 49", VIZIO 55" and a HP 24W Displays. Movement is slow, even on my ASUS ZENITH EXTREME Windows 10 Pro x64-based PC AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X 16-Core Processor 64GB RAM but then I haven't even had time to go over any Tablet settings yet.. I'm serious about learning as much as I can about using BLENDER but only 2.8 which is currently in Beta. I've found most TH-cam tutorials to be very confusing until I stumble upon you Channel.. Only experience I have is with ICLONE 7,3DXChange, Character Generator and Google Sketchup, however I've Chosen to finally Upgrade to Blender 2.8.. Need a pleasant learning experience since I have lot's to relearn after the fire. Some of the Main Software's / Hardware's I own/use: BLENDER, Davinci Resolve Studio 15.1 / HITFILM / VEGAS PRO 13 SUITE , SAMPLITUDE PRO X3 SUITE / Pre purchased X4 (Coming soon) , NI Komplete Ultimate / Control S61 MK2 / ULTIMATE 11, PaintShopPro and various other COREL Softwares..B (X1) After following your Texture Painting_Blender 2.8_ Quick Start_3 video and saving, next time I opened the project my hand painted Textures were all gone? Hey grant can u please help me out? I do photo editing work. I'm confused between the huion 640p and Veikk A30. Veikk is big takes up a lot space and my laptop screen is only 15.6 inch. So for photoshop and lightroom work which will be the best? Also I read some reviews that the mouse mode in A30 doest work. Can u please explain what the mouse mode is and is it a deal breaker?
I have no idea what people mean by mouse mode. Not sure why any one would need it perhaps it is to use it like a touch pad. If you don't want something as big then there are smaller tablets. VeikK is a good chap brand a is huion. Go for one of the newer ones as they have none battery powered pens
@@grabbitt thanks grant for replying. The cheaper ones from Veikk the 6x4 ones doesn't have any express keys. And the huion 640p is like the same price as the a30 but lot smaller size. Does 10 inch area is necrssay? I have actually never ever used a pen tablet for my photo editing work. Does the size matter?
@@harrypotter_petronus I use it a lot in my art and a bigger size helps in my opinion. If I were buying a graphics tablet now I would probably go for the veikk A50 or a30 if you need to get a cheaper one. A50 is slightly more responsive but hardly noticeable.

I would say a graphics tablet should be the first thing you get. Then if you feel you get to a point were you need faster rendering then the graphics card. Yeah I'm a bit self conscious about my teeth as many people seem to notice them :)
I can't get the pressure sensitivity to work. I've had it for a few days now and I can't get it to work. I'm going to try on my laptop and see if it works on that and it's just my desktop or not.
i cant seem to select a different brush for the cursor on the tablets pen, it just keeps changing my mouse cursor and brush but not the pen. has anyone else ran into this or has a fix?

I bought this tablet, got it in but the Pen Pressure doesnt work, it doesnt recognize in their settings, you can test it by pressing on the tablet, but nothing happens
have you updated all the drivers for graphics card and tablet and got the latest versions of the software you are using to draw. make sure you do a restart and test again. If this does not work you need to contact the manufacturer or send it back
What i have done so far: Install the drivers as Admin Turned off virus scanner and install them adding the files to exceptions restarted pc twice tested other programs uninstalled and re installed I found out that there is no service running for the tablet and i have no idea how to fix that, yet, but i also dont know if thats the issue
I can confirm that it still doesnt work, The tablet itself works, but when i open the settings software, you can see a thing called: Current Pen Pressure As soon as i apply pressure to the tablet with the pen, it doesnt do anything, it stays at 0

I dont think so. The pens are specific to the tablet and each comes with its own pen

i have never found the tilt to be that useful. so i would not worry about that feature too much. good luck in your search

YEs I should have pointed out that you must save you textures after painting them.
the pen nibs moves a lot when pressed to draw or click a button, did you have that feeling?
yes a little squishy but i dont feel it makes to much difference

they just take time to get used to in terms of looking at a screen and not at your hand. Otherwise they are excellent even the cheap ones

I am almost 100% sure it is compatible but it's worth double checking on the veikk site to make sure they have fairly recent mac drivers :)

that's odd. Mine was fine. I have tested a few veikk tablets and the drivers all downloaded ok.
